Main reason not to do it: a strong person would just move on and learn from the experience; you want to see yourself as strong but then you may not actually be. Main reason to do it: it could help you not feel as helpless. Victims of attacks who fight back, even unsuccessfully, experience less trauma than those who don't. In short, if you can easily get over it and laugh about it, it's better to move on; if you can't it's better to exert some revenge to keep some semblance of control. Just don't…

How many countries is this illegal in? How many countries is marijuana illegal in? Also I'm pretty sure Facebook is blocked in most of the relevant countries, including SA.

I disagree with their action in your case, but at least it's understandable and not discriminatory. From their point of view, there's a significant legal risk if they leave such messages up in a place where marijuana is illegal. A Facebook exec could be sentenced to jail, or Facebook be fined hundreds of millions of dollars for facilitating drug trafficking. It's idiotic but that's how it is and not their fault.

After having seen the travesty that was the Amanda Knox case(she was obviously innocent), there's really no reason to believe Cyprus courts are better. The Amanda Knox case as well as another case of an alleged but incontrovertibly false pedophilia ring in France (Outreaux if you want to look it up) looks quite similar to me to the Duke Lacrosse team case in the US. The prosecutors refused to acknowledge glaring issues popping up with their case as the investigation progressed and kept on doubli…

The SJWs Favorite Tool: Ambiguous Rules That Result in Ambiguous Infractions. It's not just SJWs. That's standard for authoritarians. A related method is selective enforcement. For example, just about everyone jailed in the ghulags was convicted of an actual crime they had actually committed. That crime was typically black market trafficking. Of course everyone was guilty of that, because you had to or you starved. Obviously, it was selectively enforced.

Fwiw, psychoanalysis is bull. Contrary to a central tenet in that pseudo-science, children are much less influenced by their parents than they are by their peers, except inasmuch as parents have more interaction with them early on and thus more of a negative impact should they be abusive. Having said that, cluster B runs in families, probably in part due to a genetic predisposition that is triggered on by abuse thus propagating itself across generations. As far as I can tell the nature of the ab…

There is no direct translation for "dating" or "going on a date" in French. There is for "going out with someone", "seeing someone", and of course, you can have a rendez-vous with someone. There's really nothing that corresponds to the formal state of "dating" though.

Do I need to quote your title back to you? Do you really need me to go fetch a dictionary definition of "attractive" in the context of sex? I don't get a boner when I'm not attracted to someone, and I'm pretty sure I'm fairly typical in that respect ... so maybe you need to educate yourself about how the average heterosexual men's anatomy operate.

Don't interact with them beyond the most minimalistic requirements, i.e. say "hello" back when they do, not a word more. If they try to force you to give them attention, say you're busy, promise you'll get back to them in 5 minutes, and fail to do so. Don't talk to them, don't talk about them, and also, deny ignoring them if asked, immediately change the subject. It's not that hard.

The difference between harassment and other offences is precisely that it covers occurrences that would not be a problem in isolation, but become one because of persistence. If it's egregious enough to be a problem when done once, it's not harassment, but that does not mean it's not a problem; it just qualifies as something else.

Chomsky, who's a quintessential leftist, has been criticizing postmodernism in academia for nearly 40 years. He basically accused the humanities departments of doing cargo cult science (though not using that expression) by trying to steal the aura of actual science by using its terminology but not its methods. There's a study that shows that unmedicated drivers with ADHD have twice as much risk of being involved in a traffic accident as the rest of the population. With medication, the risk goes back to near baseline. (addendum: consider how most other psychoactive medications increase that risk) ADHD in boys might get more attention because of the disruption it can cause, but its consequences for those who have it, including those who aren't visibly hyperactive, is life-long. It is associated with gre…

The point is that ADHD medication is not going to stop boys, or anyone for that matter, from being active. In fact, it's used precisely to make people who aren't active, like my hypersomniac self, active. The reason why it's prescribed is because it stimulates (though not exclusively) the part of the brain responsible for self-control, or rather self direction. It's not inhibitory, like a depressant would be. Sedating an hyperactive ADHDer would stop them from running around, alright. But that's…

I take Ritalin for ADHD and hypersomnia. Without it, I have no energy. Most ADHD medications are stimulants. Amphetamines, Ritalin and stimulant antidepressants such as Wellbutrin. The only exception are Clonidine and Guanfacine, which are slightly sedating, and a couple more which are neutral. A couple friends of mine expressed their puzzlement at this "tampon tax" nonsense, as they remarked it costs them very little, something like 10€ monthly. I can't stand moralizers of any ilk. Usually they have something to hid. Look at Southern homophobic politician or preachers. The harder they rant on the evils of gay sex, the likelier they are to be caught sucking strange cock in an airport bathroom. Same thing with male feminist, the reason they believe all men are rapists is because they themselves are, and simply believe other men are like them.

You need to understand why stereotypes exist. People may meet hundreds of people in a day, they have to make quick assessments, based on what they observe. Skin color is obviously very visible, so it's a large part of that. But that's not the only one. The way people dress has a very large impact. If you're mistaken for a possible gang member because you're black, try not to fuel the stereotype with hoodies and shit. Wear a suit, for example. Behavior is important as well. You may want to be a b…

The only effective way to debate feminists, anti-vaxxers or other cultists is, sadly, to mock them. Any other attitude reinforces them in their convictions. Trust me, it works. Puts them on the defensive. Just consider how they despise weak men. Keyword: #maletears. On the other hand, they may hate strong men who don't respect them, but they respect them. That's how they are, the lot of them. And don't feel bad about it, sane women who don't deserve that don't identify as feminists any way.

"Asking out" is the wrong paradigm. It's submissive, and gives her all the power. Instead, you want her to feel like she's given an opportunity to see you again. For example, you don't beg for her number, you take her number. In most ways it's the exact same thing, except in the most important respect: attitude.

Medication is essential. Don't listen to the science denialist. For example, unmedicated people with ADHD are twice as likely to be involved in a traffic accident; the rate goes back to near baseline with medication. Other than that, you need to use coping strategies. Put things always in the same place. Write down shit to do, always in the same place. Routines, routines, routines. Set specific goals, even for small stuff.

BPD can indeed be interpreted as merely an extreme form of common if not universal character flaws. I was recently watching a talk on it and the speaker, a psychiatrist specialized in personality disorder. He introduced it by mentioning how people sometimes dismissed it in adolescents as merely being an exaggerated expression of teenage rebellion and mood swings. When you hear BPDers describing their disorder in their own words, it also sounds like they experience emotions in pathologically ampl…

There was right wing feminism in the 19th/early 20th century. Female suffrage was also strongly supported by the religious right in France in the 20s/30s, along with the far left, when the center left and right opposed it ... for anti-religious reasons.

The way OP sets up the story does not conflict with what you say. They have an unimpeachable reason for wearing the uniform in the first place (toys for tots), their only failure to comply with the regs is that they delayed a few hours in taking it off; but then they were away from base/home so that could be argued as unpractical. To me OP's wording strongly implied that he knew he couldn't normally wear that uniform just to go pick up chicks, but that he took advantage of a situation where he c…

Self improvement helped in my personal fulfillment but when it comes to women its not needed. It's not enough. I've met fat slobs who got laid like crazy, but 1. very few of them, and 2. they were born expert manipulators (dark triad). Having your shit together financially and physically, and then knowing how to treat women and respond to them is something most men can do; it just takes the required effort and knowledge. Each of those alone is not sufficient, but definitely not useless either.

First thing, he needs documentation. Second, I don't know if you have any experience dealing with BPD types, but they can get vicious. And she will accuse him of doing what she actually did. All the self-proclaimed feminists I've said that to found it utterly hilarious. When the bill comes, you just put her on the spot. It's not hurting anything, you're just doing it wrong. Here's what I've noticed from being around rich guys. All women dig rich guys, even if they're not golddiggers. However they subconsciously disrespect rich guys who consistently give them shit for free, be it attention or money; they start behaving like manipulative whores when they do. You need not be stingy either, that's bad in other ways. What you need to do is to first show that you can be generous, then make them work for access to you…

You probably shouldn't have deleted her. She's in a state of utter cognitive dissonance, and extremely prone to false memories. In that kind of situation you need to help her find a narrative that reconciles her behavior with her self image. If you're unlucky she could be talking to a feminist friend who will easily convince her she was abused. If you talk to her, first make sure you don't apologize at any time because that would imply you did something wrong. Then reassure her that whatever hap…

You don't have a "rep." There is no such thing as a "rep." There's just you being a fat slob. Women don't care if you're a geek if you also happen to be fit, confident and assertive. In fact they will find a way to gush about it. The problem with video games is that you're spending time on them that you're not spending lifting or bettering yourself in other ways. It's no better or worse than if you were spending that free time watching TV, collecting stamps or some other bullshit.

Your physiological reaction to liquor is precisely why you couldn't become an alcoholic. I'm like you, in my case it is due to metabolic (ketogenic diet) and neurological (idiopathic hypersomnia) reasons. Asians are also much less likely to become alcoholic because most lack an enzyme to metabolize alcohol; as a result they get drunk more quickly and get more unpleasing side effects.

Athletes perform better on low carb. There's various reasons for it, but one of them is that carbs reserves are limited. Blood glucose is tightly regulated, excess is first turned into glycogen but you can't store much of it, and then it gets turned to fat. They may be punished for coercing someone with their authority. In the US companies routinely prohibit employees from "fraternizing," but you need to realize that this kind of interference in worker's lives is considered completely unacceptable in other countries, just like drug tests.

By that logic, we should also prohibit managers from sleeping with their employees. And why stop there? Prohibit cops from having sex with anyone, since they could theoretically be in a position to arrest anyone. The solution is simple, the law should punish actual abuses of authority, not potential abuses.

Again, in my experience, doctors are extremely reluctant to prescribe things like HRT. So when they do, that's because it's quite low. The point is that someone with very low T is going to have such a hard time doing these things, all the while being more prone to depression, that giving them such advice is setting them up for failure. Lifting raises T in healthy men, it cannot fix such a massive imbalance. (I'm assuming it's gotta be massive considering how doctors are usually reluctant to recommend HRT.) i.e. fix T first, then lift. In this case, at least. I wouldn't necessarily say that to someone else.

First the right numbers vary from people to people. I remember a study that showed that when comparing T levels between different men, they didn't correlate significantly with aggression. But artificially lowering or increasing them in one person does. That's because the effect is not just proportional to hormone levels, but also to the sensitivity of the receptors in the body. but then again it's more accurate than the alpha/beta dichotomy we often use here The alpha/beta dichotomy is pretty accurate when it's used to describe specific behaviors here. So you'll want a HDD because right now they can store DRASTICALLY higher amounts of data. It's not just the total amount of data, it's the $/GB that's much lower. There is no significant benefit of using SSDs in that situation since recording video is relatively low throughput and does not require quick random access. So what does she do when you make your move? Maybe you need to be more decisive, physically. Every time she's doing this, start talking really crude to her and tell her what kind of nasty things you're going to do to her. Make her associate that shit she does with the idea of being plowed.

Some people will dislike it, some, probably more, will prefer it. Muscles are a more masculine trait, but they're not necessarily unfeminine by themselves. However they will emphasize your other masculine traits if any. So if that's your concern, you may need to tone down your more aggressive behaviors. I recently realized that as I'm beginning to get ripped at a nearly advanced age, having significant muscle mass can make you intimidating in subtle ways.

Guess what? She fit every stereotype imaginable from being suicidal, to ransacking her house and self mutilating every time I'd catch her lying, Don't confuse cause and effects. Excessive promiscuity has negative effects in itself, but what you're describing is a clear cut case of borderline personality disorder. Reckless sexual behavior is a consequence of the disorder, and so is self-mutilation and violence towards people close to them.

So many people are so confused about Ritalin. It's a stimulant. It boosts motivation (psychic and motor), concentration, confidence, self-control and wakefulness. Do you think there are no waiting lists whatsoever in the US? Yeah, sure, there are delays for some things (but no waiting lists, which means something slightly different). That does not happen (though there's bound to be exceptions) for stuff that's time sensitive. And if you have the money, you can go to an expensive provider with unregulated prices where you don't get covered or only partially so by mandatory insurance. Mattress tags are serious business. Little known fact, this has been consistently misreported by the news media, but Emma Sulkovicz wasn't actually accusing that dude of rape, in fact she's very much into rape play, but of tearing off her mattress's tag. That's what she was doing carrying it around, "look at this! look how that evil rapey man violated the sanctity of my beautiful, virginal, goddess-like mattress!"

The player didn't handle that very smartly, he should have hit back immediately accusing the feminists of being racist, acting all outraged and calling it a lynch mob. False memories are a thing, and even very honest people can be manipulated, often unwittingly, into believing them. They are incredibly easy to create, esp. in children (which does not mean however that you can make anyone believe anything.) The problem here is how this cunt is rationalizing what she did. She's a feminist, therefore a narcissist, thus she can't possibly fully admit she was wrong.

The opposite of "restriction" is not "excess." You don't need to restrict calories if your body gives you the proper satiety signal. When people go on a low carb diet, they tend to naturally eat less calories because fat and proteins are more satiating, and also because their over weight was caused by a faulty insulin response.
/r/askTRP01/02/16 01:13 PM

Counterpoint: he obviously is ok with the idea of you fucking her, he knows she's a single mother, slightly older and that she doesn't need his protection. Things can always go south, but that's not a given in this situation. I agree there's a risk things could go south but your experience is far from universal. I can think of a few people I know whose sibling dated a friend of theirs and they all just get along fine. Not all women are indecisive ... but most are, and aren't you. More importantly, most women appreciate a man who relieves them of having to make decisions. That's been my experience. Note that 1. I don't particularly like it and 2. it took me a while to come to grips with it.

Do you seriously believe we think that the man in a couple can't ever be wrong? Just ponder that for a few seconds. Now consider the following situation. A couple wants to go out for dinner. They need to pick a restaurant. Once you've accounted for taste, price, class, location, allergies and religious restrictions, two options remain. We're just saying, for most people, the man and the woman are both better off if the man decides and the woman follows his lead. Now ask yourself, how wrong can a…

There is no scientific proof that exercise helps weight loss for the general public. This is hard to believe, but it's true. Surprisingly, it's not even been tested that much, and when it was, there was no significant effect. The reason seems to be that exercising increases appetite. Furthermore exercising does not burn that much energy over baseline metabolism, unless you're going at it at competition levels.

That's true of a rando, but if he's supposed to be a friend, he deserves a punch in the nose. Not saying it's a good idea to deliver it, but he deserves it. It's like someone outbidding you on a deal, taking a client away or revealing potentially damaging information to your employer. Nothing inherently wrong with doing it to a stranger, but doing that to a so-called friend is punch-worthy.

That's bad. If the question comes up, and it shouldn't, just evacuate it with a joke that's not self-deprecating. "Yeah, I'm sort of a virgin. You see, I've never been fucked in the ass." Or pressure flip: "Why do you ask? Is that a fantasy of yours?"

Paying for shit is the quickest way to sabotage your attractiveness. The problem is that you live in a culture (the US, I suspect) where there is an expectation of you paying for drinks, and setting up a date in a place where the issue arises puts you in the situation you are expected to pay, so the damage is done even before you have to open your wallet. As an aside, this does not happen here in France: most women don't expect men to pay for them, and will actually refuse it because it's consid…

Not sure about the TRP way but I can tell you about the old school PUA way. Make her fantasize about it. Pick one (attainable) girl you know she finds hot, and while you're in bed ask her what she'd do to her, and to describe the fantasy with greater and greater details. Don't push for the meet, that's just to make her comfortable with the idea over time. Stay outside the fantasy at first, just say you'd watch her do her. Your analysis is mostlyright but you're missing one important aspect of the whole thing, and one that is important to understand because it almost got you fucked. Simple solution: don't ask, tell. She can still say no. But much less likely to do so.

Re: scurvy You need much less vit C on a low carb diet. This is well documented, though the mechanism is rather complicated. That is why low carb eating populations such as inuits or Masai don't have scurvy. European sailors used to have scurvy, and most of their calories came from grain.

You look better than Peter Attia? You must be one hot son of a bitch then. By the way, here's him before going LCHF as he had just completed some insane long distance sea swimming stunt. He says he was exercising over 2h a day at the time and he was getting fatter nonetheless. Volek and Taubes look like they're in excellent shape as well. Flat stomach, no excess fat visible on their face. They're all 40 and over by the way. Lustig is pushing on 70 year old.

No power in the universe can keep you fat if you consume 1500 calories amday while expending 1700 in activity The point is that they don't expend 1700 in activity. If they did, they wouldn't be fat. But they don't. And why don't they? Their metabolism is fucked. Their shit diet has made their body think they were starving so it's trying to hold on to whatever calorie it gets and expend as little as possible, and it's making them ravenously hungry. The funny thing, fatties who actually get on a N…

No, it's not. Ketoacidosis is what you're thinking of, it's not the same thing as ketosis. It's unclear why the acid reflux disappeared, it's not been studied as far as I know, but a lot of people have reported the same thing in /r/keto. A plausible reason is that insulin stimulates acid production, and therefore lowering insulin production reduces it.

I've never had it, how does it compare to fresh foie gras, dark chocolate or Roquefort cheese?

Are you really arguing that does not work? I do. There is for instance no scientific proof that exercise helps in weight loss. Hard to believe, but true. How could that be? Turns out that exercise increases appetite. you are so smart and such a rebel for countering mainstream perceptions! I didn't come up with that shit. Go read Peter Attia, Gary Taubes, Jeff Volek, Robert Lustig, ... or simply watch them on youtube.

You have to force yourself to overeat on keto. You just feel FULL. No need to count the calories, your body does it for you. No hunger pangs, no need to restritct yourself, no slump in energy a few hours after a meal.

You think you're super smart because you're repeating the mainsteam narrative we've all heard a million times. So here's the answer to my little riddle. The most basic form of automatic control is a thermostat. Let's say you go home one day and you find your house is very hot. Why is that? "Well it's clearly hot because there's more heat coming in than going out, duh! We need to stop the gas/fuel/coal/electricity!" say the dumb fucks you're parroting. And here I am telling you that your thermost…

How much do you understand of thermodynamics? Let me tell you something: I studied electrical engineering. I learned how to design power plants, for example. Do you think I got out of there being clueless about statistical mechanic? Here's another thing I learned there: automatic control. Do you know what it is? Because if you did, you'd realize why it's much more relevant to weight management than the conservation of energy.

When you're insulin-resistant and try to eat less calories with a large % of carbs, your metabolism slows down and you get hungry very fast. At least that's what happens to me. Eating fat instead ... I'm never very hungry, never cold like I used to, always energetic and the only thing that's stopping me when I exercise or walk for a long time is joint pain, eventually. Back when I was on carbs ... shit, I would get physically tired rather quickly, it's incredible thinking about it.
/r/TheRedPill25/11/15 08:16 PM

Again, it's hard to stay at 20%, I think I'm more around 30%, counting by calories. Still in ketosis though, even though I don't even try to go below 25g carb/day.

Ah ah aha ah aha hahahahahahahahahahahah. Thanks for the laugh. I can comfortably afford all the meat and expensive fat I want, thank you very much. And as a result, I don't have to waste willpower on starving myself. Besides, keto didn't just help for weight loss. It's rid me of acid reflux and, oddly enough, dandruff. The response: Google has it because their employees routinely work 60-100 hour weeks, we don't consider that to be either healthy or productive for our employees. There's two WTFs right there. Even at Google, continuously working 100h cannot fail to have very strongly diminishing returns. Second, if most of your employees are of high value, providing free services like on-site babysitting and basic medical services is worth it even if they work the regular 40h week. It costs less to the company …

working out 4-6x/week (but still fat) /r/keto to fix the fat part VERY easily. Eat fat to remove fat. Just don't eat sugar and carbs. No sodas ever. No pizza, pasta, bread. As much steak, bacon, cheese and nuts as you want. Buy ultra dark 90%+ chocolate for when you have sweet cravings. You will lose dozens of pounds in a few months. No willpower required, you just have to decide to gorge on the right stuff instead of the bad shit.

Do you seriously think that I'm not aware of the propaganda? The creation of Israel was imposed onto the Arab world by the Western world. It was simply an act of imperialism.

Arabs are semites as well, for that matter. I still stand behind the value of Israel. If for no other reason than that they're basically the most masculine/badass Western (ish) nation. That's retarded.

You're saying the hatred of Jews from Muslim goes back over thousands of years before Islam even existed? The exile from Egypt in the Bible is complete bollocks anyway. The Pyramids were the most wonderous thing in the world at the time, story tellers made up that story to stake a claim on them. For instance, archaelogists have found that the builders were most likely not slaves by excavating their quarters.

Not so sure about sunscreen. There is growing doubts that it offers any protection in the long term against melanoma (the dangerous type of skin cancer), it might actually do the opposite. Sunscreen blocks UVB much more than UVA. UVB make vitamin D and promotes tanning which then protects against UVA and UVB. It causes the more benign form skin cancer. UVA on the other hand cause melanoma.
