Gold is pretty, reasonably resistant to corrosion but only has 'value' because people pretend it does. Rather like bitcoin when you come down to it.

Universal health care is a prerequisite to be considered a civilised country. No matter how much I disagree with how somebody runs their life they should never be denied medical care just because they are poor.

It's more subtle than that. A woman always wants 'new' in a relationship... A man wants things to stay the same. So no matter what you do there will always be a 'new' demand. You can never win and stay won.

If this is what the US army is coming down too I get some mates together and invade you and bring you back under Queen and country... There again if this is all the country had to offer maybe I won't bother.

Let's be realistic. Do you think a girl is able to defend your country? Drafting them would be stupid.

I had both mine but then I did actually read up on it not the tinfoil hat brigade stuff. I like the technology and it's going to offer great stuff in the future.

One describes your views and the other has moved from a life style to a demeaning insult. It is actually quite useful as when somebody calls you an incel you know that they probably are just childishly throwing rude words about and are not open to discussion.

I see the point and it's rather amusing but the nice thing about being a man is being straight forward and honest so it doesn't really appeal.

Be careful. This is just the childhood conditioning kicking in. You know where 'some intimacy with a woman' will lead. Back to the plantation.

That's rather a range of styles. I doubt that you want advice just permission to go mad. Go mad. So none of the above. My ride? I'm MGTOW so everything is about me now... A Mercedes E class car and a Honda superbike.

They have a very limited number of conversation ideas so that one bubbles up to the top very quickly. Similarly a lot of the questions often suspected as being to test your 'provider status' are actually just conversation fillers to the average girl. Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity.

Several years ago I noticed several quite normal websites were accepting bitcoin. So I thought I ought to have some as a convenience. So I bought £250. After a while it was worth about £85 So I laughed and took it as proof that I was an idiot. Then a year or so later I discovered I had about £850. I was surprised. I currently have about £420. I'm still going with the 'idiot' theory.

Not what I meant. If things look like 'insurrection' and the army is sent to 'pacify' an area and you point your 'second amendment rights' at them the platoon ethos of 'nobody shoots my buddies' steps in and you are just a target for a trained professional with serious backup.

Adopt a uniquely male way of going about it. One no woman can ever hope to use. Eat less. I did Keto and wiped out 20Kg but beware it is too easy and you can fall off the wagon to easily and put it all back on. (I didn't but I've seen it.)

Don't worry. Our key 'doctrine' here is AWALT. You have just been educated in that. Just don't get into another relationship unless you really need the pain. Try a hobby. Making things, doing things, seeing things, learning things. The opportunities are endless.

You need to get some OW items going then you discover why MGTOW is so good. Currently you are just sitting doing nothing so the draw of the Plantation is strong while I am frustrated that I'm having such fun on the things I'm already doing that several of the things I really wanted to try are slipping out of reach. I've already had to admit that I'm too old to break into base jumping now.

Men are supposed to be stoic and suffer in silence. A true Stoic would say: I have a problem with my wife that makes me miserable. It is apparently permanent. Is this a problem beyond my control, so I must bear it, or one I can fix? It is one I can fix. Ditch the bitch.

Voting is actually the problem. Socrates spotted the problem years ago. Once the voters realise they can vote themselves money they continue to do it until the system collapses. Adding women to the equation merely accelerates the process as they are more strongly driven by greed.

I was initially merely amused by content here but when I considered the AWALT 'doctrine' and measured it up against real life around me, not the sugar coated version we normally accept, I was horrified to realise it was 100%. This provided the underpinning to the 'monk mode' I had already drifted into and, I trust, will keep me there for the rest of my days. Although I am now an ex-christian I can well understand the draw towards a celibate life style for the believer. Your problem is being too literal. You have an outdated idea of 'meaning'. Words just express feelings. They don't have to be factual. We have, like most animals, the tendency to gorge in the good time because we know that lean times are just around the corner and we need to stock up. However as we have solved the 'lean times' problem in the developed world so if you are using your adult brain you can control this and eat enough to stay healthy. Prehistoric hunter gatherer survival genetically coded tactics: We are wired to be attracted to a woman entering her child bearing optimum age range. Tradwife wasn't doing too badly until you got down to her knees then she went badly off the rails. Schooling needs far to broad a background to entrust to one person. As I remember it I had lunch with my brother (he was paying) then wasted a lot of time writing a computer program that did something I could have got a free app to do but wanted it to work my way and finally went to bed late feeling smug. Being alone is cool if that's what you like. I have spent Christmas alone several times, cooking for one and taking wild culinary risks with novel ideas because I can.

People may be rude about them but I love sports bikes. It's probably lots safer than a date with some girl in HR.

Modern computer languages are designed for girls. Men can read and debug 5000 line functions. Compare C++ to C#. Turing's paper on computable numbers is the holy grail of computers anyway.

This is absolutely wonderful. It is one thing for me, who really neither knows nor cares much about this sort of thing to think that you're an idiot, but to go out, prove it, and then publicise it to the world just goes a whole great leap forward of idiocy beyond that.

People can have guns in the USA but has that ever stopped a real terrorist attack? However the USA routinely has people shooting up their schools, malls and such. Gun control works in terms of people not dead.

I read the spec on upgrading my S8 to an S10 and couldn't see anything worthwhile having. When the battery in this one finally goes they'll be on special offer on Amazon so I'll wait until then. If in the mean time it labels me as not thot worthy I'm cool with that. But then I'm not on the bus, the S8 clips into the holder in the Mercedes and bluetooths into the built-in hands free.

Decades ago, 1970s, when I was at college, one of my flat mates girl friend decided to cook dinner. She found I had chillis in the fridge. Bear in mind this is the UK where things like that were new and came from a specialist shop. "What are these?" "Very hot, don't use them." Of course I was a man and knew nothing about cooking so she just diced them up and threw them in the casserole. It was wonderful and they left most of it for me to eat over the next few days.

This is to be expected. Your internal hunter gatherer is looking for a mate who has just entered the child bearing phase of her growth and who will live long enough to raise children with you before the day when age and damage mean you don't come home from the hunt. You are programmed to reject those marked as being in the child rearing phase as your offspring will die when she does.

Being fat is a choice. I assume the organisers of this 'fashion' show had researched their target audience and discovered what their customer base looked like. I have to admit there are a lot like that about and they appear to have money to burn. Fashion was never about attracting a man. We sympathise. Being abandoned is probably worse than being left a widower as I was but you have to use the same ways to cope. You must look after yourself. Eating, sleeping, cleaning, shopping and all the chores. This is how you regain your self worth and your dignity. OK imagine the situation where you're getting older and older and you're all alone and you're poor too because your wife made off with your money/pension decades ago and poisoned the children's minds towards you... That's one of my neighbours.

The big ones in my life have been ham radio, motorcycle racing, scuba diving, hang gliding, caving and most recently falconry. I've dabbled in rock climbing, sailing, model helicopters and archery. As I grow older I think that writing fiction will last into my old age when the infirmity of the flesh will finally eclipse the others.

We evolved to hunt not kill. I still do. I have rabbits in the freezer but the hawk that caught them will eat them. We evolved to breed and bond to our partner through sex. I did that but not again. These days it's not so safe.

I can't see much more antithetical to the MGTOW life style than being ground under the heel of religion. Only take religion into your life if you are utterly convinced that it is true and I, like many others not born in the dark ages, am not.

What I always notice is that men can say, "Dam it I'm getting too fat" and go and fix it. You only need to eat less, it's hardly difficult. A woman can't quite seem to ever do this. 'Cheating' on a diet is apparently OK if nobody sees you.

Twenty eight years. It was a bit up and down at times but we survived. Then she died. After that the buzzards saw a small business owner with no debt and began to circle. That's when I discovered MGTOW although I just thought it was me at the time.

I'll give you "jumbled, shredded mess". I'm not even sure what point you're making. Sounds like ordinary writer's block. Once you embrace the core MGTOW concept of AWALT it colours everything. OK. Time to stop. To admit that the past is the past and is now unchangeable. Time to start building a future. First you need to get financially stable. Then you can plan to do things. Then you need to work out what you would like to do for yourself. This is the OW of MGTOW. Oh and don't tell me you're too old. Grief yes. I think the "OMG I've overcooked this" moment has several times been saved by looking at the exit to the corner, no matter how unrealistic it seems, and telling my brain that if counter-steering hard doesn't get me out of this as least I'll lowside and the bike doesn't hit me.
/r/MGTOW09/06/19 08:07 PM
5

A bike has to be counter steered to go round a corner at much above walking pace, it just helps if you do it deliberately. You don't 'turn' the bars the opposite way you just push on the inside bar and as that takes the bike into a lean the bar come back towards you. Never turn the bars unless low speed manoeuvring, control with pressure and let the bikes geometry keep things stable.

Evolution gave you the signals that you were young, healthy and fertile so that we would know to choose you, breed with you and stay with you so we both invested our strong years in our offspring when they were tiny and helpless. You squandered that. Now you have moved from signalling a 'child bearing ready' state to a 'child rearing' age so we are programmed not to choose you. It's just nature.

You're looking at negative visualisation. The key to happy stoicism is to only worry about the things you can fix not the things you can't control. eg: You will die - just try not to do it crossing the road today etc. Negative visualisation says consider all the things that can go wrong and have plan's in place to mitigate the ones you can fix. You probably won't need all those plans but if you didn't - hey that was a good day.

We are toxic. There is nothing more toxic to a bigot than a counter to their opinion backed up with facts, observations and logic. I suspect I'm getting towards Involuntary Celibate these days as, at my age, the equipment is past its prime, but I still need MGTOW as Business owner, Home owner, expensive hobbies and, most excitingly, heart condition still brings them sniffing round. Being MGTOW I don't make much mess so this keeps everything clean feeling and healthy. I do my own clothes laundry triggered on the washing box being full (so one machine full) and it take minutes. OMG who let the climate change deniers in? It will be the flat earthers next. <shakes head> MGTOW is a sensible, rational reaction to the observed data. We see what is going on around us, we think about it, we adjust our plans to avoid the 'bad endings'. It is an eminently scientific way to live.

All my house cleaning is done by a cleaner who comes in for three hours a fortnight. The laundry is trivial: when the box is full it goes in the washing machine, when the machine stops it gets hung on a drier, when it's dry it gets put away. Nothing takes more than five minutes. I also pay a gardening firm who arrive as a team, blitz the place in twenty minutes then vanish leaving a bill through the letterbox. What is this 'house work' of which you speak?

I am perplexed. If you want to angst about women you're a simp not a MGTOW. You need a dog, a motorbike, a boat, a whatever appeals to you. The problem with coding is that good coding is expensive because good coders are expensive. MGTOW is a fact you understand. If you understand it and implement it in your life you are MGTOW. I was married for 28 years but when she died it was the vultures circling over a suddenly single business (part) owner, home owner et al that made me realise that my life and money was for me not them. We get a lot of men in 'red pill rage', a recovery stage from being worked over by the system. To say they are a little peeved with some woman and, by inference, all women is putting it mildly. Once they have gone through this they will probably post us a picture of the boat/motorbike et al that they can now afford.
/r/MGTOW01/11/18 02:45 PM

Well done for realising what is going on. A lot of men wonder if it was 'their fault' rather than a deliberate move on the part of the girl to assert her control over things and just slide into the new arrangement blindly. I notice it is 'move in'. She gets the free housing. Oh and never expect the sex life to resume what it was - it is once the bait but not it is the reward for compliance so it must be rationed to keep it's value up.

We would all pull in different directions. We range from far right, through preppers to the far left. The only thing we agree on is AWALT and, being men, that is enough common ground to get together and talk about it.

My atheism tells me that life has no meaning other than that that I ascribe to it so I will 'eat drink and be merry' and if I can contribute to other peoples lives that is a 'feel good' bonus.

I've heard of Tinder and I suspect that some examples have been posted here of girls there setting conditions for a match. I suspect I wouldn't get a match as I'm not 6 foot and don't have a 'six pack'. I'm just an older man who puts too much time into his hobbies and doing his share for the company he half owns. Obviously no girl would be so lacking in self respect as to target me for my money and that's probably my only redeeming feature now.

The last thing women want is to be in charge of things. They want to be in charge of a man or small set of men. OK going out to lunch with your friends and being the CEO of Megamegacorp so you can rub it in their faces would be cool but actually doing the day to day business would suck.

MOW: The fact that I like to be alone some of the time doesn't mean I want to do it all of the time. I have friends, family, neighbours and people I just know socially and we meet up, sometimes by chance and sometime by arrangement. This is the problem I have with Christianity and it's variants. It does not promote good actions over evil ones. You can be any sort of sinner you like but if you say the magic words and get 'saved' you get a free pass, but be as good as you can be and it counts for nothing. An Atheist stands before that horribly demanding thing that is his own conscience. If he wrongs somebody he has no secret confession and repentance to make it all good again. He has to go back and sort it out.
/r/MGTOW22/10/18 06:06 PM

I don't think r/MGTOW is the place to try and sell religion. One of the things we have done is stop and look at the world and use our brains to understand the delusions that will take away our freedom. Religion must stand pretty much at the head of the line. Now it is not for me to tell you how to live your life so believe what you wish, aka go your own way, but that isn't even good theology.

Eat fats not carbs. Try a big pile of bacon to ease the angst if hungry hurts. No, I'm not kidding. Sugars go into storage as fat but fats are fuel for now or are, to the most part, excreted. The problem is that few women think that they will settle for a Beta. That only becomes even an idea when they are post wall and the alternative is a cat or several cats. I'm sorry but you've been fed the 'happily ever after' lie in media since somebody was reading you bed time stories. It is never and has never been true. No. This is r/MGTOW. A MGTOW may use 'monk mode' to further his life but an incel is somebody who identifies as wanting a woman but can't get one. We identify as aiming for self-defined success and we see women as a hindrance.

She's not wrong, especially the point about 'Adulting', but this completely bypasses the fact that if dating leads to a LTR, I think this is her target, the whole future just runs downhill from there. I have a fondness for this place as where I learned the terms MGTOW and AWALT and grew my understanding. This isn't freedom. This is the gateway. The key point of MGTOW is that we have taken a positive stop away from something that wasn't working into things that work for us. It always reminds me of the long standing reddit meme of the cat thinking 'I should get a boat'. We are the cat that went out and got a boat.

Look this is r/MGTOW. We respect ourselves and don't care what the rest of the world thinks. If you want to be a whiny little bitch and go on about your SMV this is the wrong place to do it. Your problem isn't what people think about you it is that you care.

This is Ireland you're talking about. They will get childbirth on the state and that's ten times the cost of one little abortion. I would expect the vasectomy would be on the state too. This is a good, cost effective move for the tax payer.
/r/MGTOW26/09/18 02:26 PM

Be serious. How much do you think the tax payer ends up having to contribute to bringing up some single mother family that a quick abortion could have saved?

If they have a medical problem they actually may need support but if you start to give it AWALT may take longer to manifest itself but before long you owe her that support and don't expect any gratitude for it. Worse still your instincts say 'she needs support and I can give it' so you accept this and the screw can tighten another turn. In the end you look about and realise you're on the plantation putting that cotton in her sack.

I remember reading about a retirement community, how, when a man lost his wife, he was descended upon by the 'casserole brigade' all looking to take over his life. The writer attributed this to annuity based pensions that reduced the payment when the original beneficiary died leaving the widow to look for a way to make up the shortfall in her standard of living.

I quite like BM. He's nearer the European Centrist than a US leftist. I'm not so happy with the Murican hard right or left who seem to be to busy hating each other to actually have policies that aren't "What he says but the opposite". However it's always nice to meet fellow MGTOW from all parts of the political spectrum. We probably have more in common on how to practically live life and would stop, think and discuss to solve problems rather than just shouting retard slogans.

MGTOW is a bit about not getting laid. There is a notable male female divide on puppers. A woman loves them just the way they are and is disappointed when they grow up. A man looks forward to them growing up so they can go out and discover the world together.

AWALT is a sad truth. Not all the time, some are good for ages but that's what will surface when the pressure comes on. Natural selection meant that when the hunter part of your hunter gatherer combo ended up as lunch for a predator more alpha than he was the 'monkey branching' trait had to kick in fast so you and the kids eat. Modern society does not push the same buttons in her head as him bringing home a regular haunch of Auroch so the bitch ain't loyal.

This is an extreme position. Personally I am polite to everybody, male or female, because that's how I am but I just let their value system just bounce off. I am sorry for incels. They have been sold the lie that you will never be happy until you have a woman and they deduce they can never be happy because they know they will never have a woman. The key feature of MGTOW is that you don't just sit there gritting your teeth to get over the 'pain' of not having a woman in your life. What you do is relax from the pain of having a woman in your life and do all the things you always wanted to do. The ear to ear grin is symptomatic of just how much it hurts.

The various threads that make up MOW lead me into many other subreddits but I make it my general policy not to mention MGTOW there. The whole point of r/MGTOW is that it is a place where men discuss a men's thing. Nobody is going to stop women reading here, although some of the early stage MGTOWs can be a bit mysogonistic as the realisation that they have been fed a lie all these years and get upset. If they ask a question or make a remark we will hardly notice because we like mansplaining as that's how we find out about things and share knowledge around. If, however, they specifically identify themselves as women they are e…

A lot of people here are new to MGTOW and have recently been turned over by the system and need to vent, then calm down a talk about it and joke about it. Finally they enter the heart-land of MGTOW and just settle down to having a good time. So first we get misogynistic rants, then blonde jokes and finally pictures of their new boat.

I'm a MGTOW and I live in Europe and probably believe things about social medicine and gun control that would make a Republican shit his pants. MGTOW is about how we relate to women or more precisely how we do not relate to women. Outside of that we are a very diverse crew. Politics can be an interesting discussion topic but if your own way was the same as mine life would be boring.

There's a wide range of topics to be covered here. r/MGTOW is where a band of brothers sit down, crack open a beer and swap stories. There may be a cautionary tale, a joke, someone has a nice new toy, some new MGTOW will need to vent about his past. The rules are in the right hand column and who we are is right above it. If somebody wants to be a hater is it mine to tell him who or what to hate? I might want to show off my new motorbike while another guy feels bad about his ex. We will both list…

Do I qualify? I was married for 28 years. I paid for my wife to get through college and finally cared for her when cancer developed. I was horrified how quickly the buzzards started to circle once I was a single man again with a paid off home and part owner in a successful business. So I went scuba diving and bought a hang glider. That was fifteen years ago.

I have female friends. It is harder to do than a man friend as they are always asking for support with this or that because it's hard (or boring) while with my male friends it tends to be them offering to help with something because it would be interesting to do. I have been horrified to discover that one 'friend' had described me to another girl as a 'prospective boyfriend' and they rather thought it was a done deal. I thought I was far to old for that.

Often it takes a bad relationship going south to break a man of his 'must have a woman in my life' mindset although some people never seem to learn. However when you realise that there is far more to life than just working yourself to death to be somebody else's ATM you discover so much to do and enjoy and once you are your own master you can just do it.

Agreed it is far more complex and individual. That's why I don't think you can level it to more than seeing and doing. Once you have first prioritised your own life over relationships and then adjusted your path to realise that goal then you have maxed out. From then on MGTOW has just become background and whatever activities you have selected as YOW should dominate. Of course if prepper politics is YOW go off grid and enjoy.
/r/MGTOW08/06/18 01:26 PM

Why should we conform to anybody else's verbal shibboleths? The concept of MGTOW is inherently sexist. I choose, as a man, not to enter into a 'provider' relationship with a woman. I wish nobody any harm but I observe the world about me and I see things going on that I do not wish to be involved with. I observe things happening that are best explained in those terms. Saying something is a 'horrible' word does not make it the clearest word to describe what I see.
/r/MGTOW08/06/18 01:11 PM

This isn't MGTOW. This is a MGTOW who is into Prepper style Politics. MGTOW has two levels I see it: I understand that system really is a dangerous trap to take away my time, money and rights. I do it: I choose not engage in anything that makes me a locked in provider. The rest is what you choose as 'your own way'. Mine doesn't have much politics in it but rather a lot of scuba diving.

You have been conditioned since childhood by boy meets girl stories (often as a sub-text) that end with everybody 'living happily ever after'. You would naturally like to emulate that. If the whole of the USA went MGTOW you'd still have a childish attitude to your bang-toys. In fact you might even get worse.

I would say I am still feeling my way. I have read books and have done a hands on course working with an active falconer. I have learnt to make the equipment and care for the birds. I would not tell some of my more squeamish friends what is involved in taking out a hawk loaded for bunny as often you need to finish off the prey before the bird eats too much but nature is as ever 'red in tooth and claw'. The only slightly sad thing is how depressingly stupid a hawk is. Much of the training is usin…

I bought a new back gate and the things to mount it. It's getting a good coat of rot-proof then getting hung this weekend. Hopefully my Falconry Mews comes next week so I have to get set up for that. I have been in contact with a reputable breeder (who took a reference from my mentor) and he has taken my deposit so in July/August a new Hawk will be moving in. I'm looking forward to this. Mostly Scuba, but I fly gliders, model helicopters (no, not drones), I am moving into home automation and training and equipping myself to add Falconry to my set. We are trained by 'happily ever after' stories from childhood but looking around at the people about us proves this is not a general experience. You need to be allowed to grow and change in some areas but not change in others and so is this 'partner'. You can't promise 'forever' so you can't ask them to do that either. Sadly if you want unconditional love 'to the death' get a dog.

No. TRP tries to use red pill knowledge to deal with women while MGTOW realises the system is irretrievably broken, walks away and generally has a good time. Come to MGTOW and, once you have got over the shock of the red pill, tell us about your dog, your new trail bike, your model making et al. The whole central core of MGTOW is the concept of 'your own way'. Our one group doctrine is AWALT. Aside from that the very concept of 'own way' fragments us. Politically we are very diverse. Our financial stock, our age range, our background history are all individual. Fragmenting MGTOW is like fragmenting a swarm of mosquitoes. To destroy us all you need a unicorn to prove us wrong. We're waiting. Still waiting.

Argh!!!!! There is so much wrong here. A terminal velocity is not something you reach but something you get closer and closer to asymptomatically. I don't understand what this collection of rather meaningless sound bite phrases is supposed to offer. The one thing MGTOW isn't is pie in the sky catch phrases. We just go and do our stuff. Tools are good. As you get older you can collect more them. My new venture into Falconry has given me an excuse to branch into leather-working. More tools! My late wife read the "Men are from Mars women from Venus" book and noted the suggestion that a woman who wants something from a man should ask for it then shut-up and wait while he changes gear from what he was doing to doing it. Don't say anything just stand and wait, saying things just restarts the process back at where he doesn't want to do it. It worked very well for both of us. She got things done and I didn't feel so pressured.

That's what she has to do when you don't come home and the rest of the party admit you were lunch to a bigger predator. She has to be ready to do that to keep the family alive. That's what screws her up today. The old 'brought home big haunch of antelope' reaction is not triggered by a check in the bank because it's not visceral enough so she's always on a hair trigger to cut and run. Hang on. This is part of the hunter gatherer design. She need a lot of girl friends so on the day that her man comes home broken from the hunt she can scrounge enough bits for a meal or two while he mends. A man only needs his hunting team and the relationship is 100 times as close because you trust those guys to have their spears ready if the prey makes a break for it through you. AWALT because it's genetic code.

I'm afraid that you are buying into the 'happily ever after' fiction that the world is selling. Please look about you. Look at your more elderly friends and relatives. It just doesn't work that way and probably didn't often work well before. I live alone. I like it that way. Yes, I've had to call emergency services on myself once but that's a normal part of growing old, I don't see the problem. I'm certainly not going to give up my privacy and self determination just because I might need help one day in the future. We all die. Facing up to our own mortality is part of growing up. However don't ruin your life just in the hope of extending it a fraction. That's a really bad deal if ever I heard one.

Lots of people are just here to vent because 'the system' has messed them about. Those of us that are MGTOW have moved beyond that and are 'going our own way' and women don't feature in our lives much now.
