If youve not read marcus aurelius' meditations then i heartily recommend it. The main thing I'd say is, you need to recognise when youre in this negative mindset, and have mental escape plan. such as, you say you have big goals? whenever you feel negative, think about where youre going to be in 5 years, then think about what you need to do to get there. I guarantee that it will not include partying, drugs, women, etc.

long time ago, when every week was a new feminist project, there were viral videos talking about how women's trousers (pants) not having pockets was a feminist issue (not having pockets means the have to carry handbags which means they are easier to steal from) I told a feminist friend that if this was such a major issue then women should just buy men's trousers. he stopped talking to me after that argument. it was worth it.
