Yes. It absolutely made me feel empty. I'm in the triple digits for sexual partners and every last one of them was a symptom of something much more sinister.

Men crave meaning in everything. And despite our MGTOW philosophy the need for real connection is programmed biologically and must be unlearned. Anything that doesn't bring joy, reward, or benefit is not something worth doing.

All that to say: mentally healthy people do not fuck everything in sight. I had self worth issues, struggled with alcoholism, and horrific abandonment issues. I had casual hookups with strangers to convince myself that I'm fucking awesome and it backfired.

I've been monk for a couple years now and I am definitely happier and more focused. I understand now that I'm just fucking awesome even without the meaningless sex.

You should do you. Not what others are doing. Don't feel left out. Do what you think is right for your life. Sex has been overly glamorized by Hollywood and society in general. Don't get me wrong sex can be satisfying in the right situation. But random hook ups have never been my thing.

It depends on your motivation for hooking up.

Back when I did it, my motivation was to have a lot of sex. That's it. I wasn't looking for a relationship. I wasn't looking for companions. Just sex.

So I never felt empty. And I never got bored because new, young flesh was always exciting to me.

But eventually I was done, and I went monk.

In high school I was the biggest loser. Couldn't count how many times I was rejected. So I felt like I had something to prove when I finally figured it out around age 20. Cue a couple years of fucking everything with a pulse.

I always *wanted* a traditional, monogamous relationship. But 100% of the time I tried, I was fed a big fat red pill in some form or another. Marriage seemed suicidal, so I would always go back to just casual sex.

Eventually I got bored of that and stopped altogether. I have the occasional moment of loneliness, but it quickly passes. Thank god. I'm so done with the dating scene.

Is it worth it? I dunno. I have no regrets, but neither am I inclined to do it in the future.

I can't really explain it, but i've found, and heard from others, that getting a notch count of 10 is the magic number for dealing with women, once i hit 10 or 11 i stopped caring if a woman wasnt interested, and if a woman was interested i had the confidence to seal the deal.
that confidence has helped me through other aspects of life, especially work, but since hitting that magic number i stepped away from hookups, not for any reason in particular, just having confidence made getting laid seem less important.
times are different now, i'm only talking 8-9 years ago, but damn has hookup culture changed in those years (tinder went live in 2012) and i wouldn't recommend it to young people, but its the road i took to confidence, the red pill and finally MGTOW, so i cant say its wrong, you just need to be careful, extra careful now.
I don't think hook ups make you feel empty unless you really dedicate your life to it, aim for triple digits etc, at that point your basing your life around women and what they can do for you, and if youre in the mgtow reddit you probably already understand thats the wrong way to live your life

Post nut clarity makes life feel empty in general. If there's a woman there, usually that just means more effort was expended to feel that empty. Alcohol helps. Pass out right away. If anything it's a little ego boost. But like compliments on your new haircut, after a while you just nod and it means little.

It’s fun but empty at the same time. Like emotional connection is obviously more fulfilling but conquering things feels good. And the more you do it the less you feel empty about it.
