Yeah. I regret being brought up blue pilled. I regret not being red pilled earlier, and spending 15 years in cubicle hell when outdoor work suits me so much better. Other than that, not really. Discovered the red pill at 39, went into /r/MGTOW out of curiosity after hearing it mentioned by a subordinate in 2017 or so. Decided to stick around to see if there was anything to it besides bitterness and came across the "MGTOW as a hospital" post. Went more and more into it. My job prevents me from av…

Richard Louis Proenneke did that. The film, including still shots, is available if you ask around. But note the guy had excellent carpentry skills and it still took him a long time. It's not something you can put together in one or two weekends.

Not immediately though, which is why some lessons take a long time to learn. First, Victoria's Secret will attract legions of fat women who think the lingerie gets them the billionaire boyfriend. As the fancy bras and panties do not offset the fat, you get to stage 2--more desperate buying (is it the bra? the maid skirt? why won't anyone pay attention to me????), which means still more $. Stage 3, where the fat women figure out what their problem is, does exist, some go through that, but stage 4…

Being monk means (to some) that you lose desire; to others, it means that you control the desire. Whichever meaning you choose, good on you for recognizing the desire. Your "little melody" is good. It's also the key to your question--the truth of what you want, understood and stated clearly. What works for me: look, and think, "this is not for me; I'm going elsewhere", and look away. If need be (occasionally it is), leave and go do a solitary activity--ride a bike, walk, swim, whatever. Anything…

Spend time alone when you can. It will not make the problem (classmates) go away but it will help you get some peace during the day. It may be hard to remember, or believe, but in a few months, when you graduate, you will be away from those assholes and can find some better people, or, if not, at least have the habit of enjoying solitude which is usually better for your mental health than being surrounded by people all the damn time. Hi folks, I just wonder... Everyone here knows that modern women are trash. So, why do we talk about them? Because new people stop by and need to be educated on the details of the trashiness, as they may know only one, or only a few, aspects of it. We have to focus on something different. Hobbies, finances.... Finances are discussed pretty often. And so are hobbies, autos, sports, crafts, food, drink, pets, travel... The list is pretty long. Keep looking. "Does the average guy just lack self respect these days?" Can you find many women without out-of-wedlock children? There's a reason why they're called "unicorns". And if you've been brainwashed to get married and have kids of your own, you're gonna have to accept the other kids too.

"For example, I'm sure many guys on this sub started working out after being inspired by the insanely buff characters from DBZ." No idea who/what DBZ is. For me, it was hearing/reading that "if you are feeling low, try exercising" almost everywhere online (pre-MGTOW days), and a Planet Fitness opening right near where I lived, and thinking, "well, who knows, everything else failed, let's see if these online people are right." The rest is history...

Man I hate video stuff. It may be interesting but hell no I won't be listening to anyone taking 2 hours to read what I could read in 45 minutes. Can't speed up the video too much or it becomes incomprehensible, and (this one is a rare exception) there's no write-up, so there's no option but to suffer through two hours of someone talking at me?? Having a relationship at work? Oh, it's just great... if you don't mind shooting yourself in the foot (and genitals). When a company manual says that they'd "prefer" to not have you "fraternize" with a coworker, what that means is, "you even think of getting it on and you're getting fired, it's just that we can't be that direct about it."

Don't think "higher caliber" is the reason. It's been said that men bond over shared activities. Lately his activities take him away from you and to others; there's less chance/time to renew/strenghten the bond with you. (This is also why so many long distance relationships don't work long term.)

Especially here, you will find lots of people who do not need to be around others much/most of the time, and prefer things that way. so your situation is not abnormal. As to the best friend, circumstances do change and so do people and friendships. As you get older, you will find yourself trimming the contact list as people move in and out of your life. It sucks but it's how life goes.

I've thought about it, and have some questions: 1) work hours: I thought it's 14 hours a day, of which no more than 10 (total) hours are spent driving. Is this correct? 2) during the non-work/non-driving time, can you/is it safe to lock the truck and go away? I'd like to get back into distance running and biking, but not if the truck gets stolen. 3) OTR driving: how often is it that you are required to go into cities or other limited space areas to do deliveries? Or is it all inter-truck-termina…

Altruistic, hate-free beings would eventually get fed up with being used by the less altruistic beings, and either discover hate or go on a quiet rebellion. Call it Altruistic Beings Going Their Own Way. The above was not meant as humor, but as a serious answer. I suspect quite a few of us were idealists in earlier times, before getting used over and over and deciding to switch strategies. To even get a chance at trying this you'd have to take the beings who take advantage of others out of the e…

Money. Don't know where /u/ComprehensiveMGTOW lives, but in the US, overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular pay. (e.g., working a 60 hr. week = 40 hrs *regular + 20 hrs*regular*1.5 = it's like working a 70 hr week.) For my part, I'm always available for 50-60 hrs weeks, 'cause I do want the $$$. 70 hr week, not so much--it interferes with the gym attendance :)

So, adding up just the married times and the divorced time: 2+6+3+3+4 = 18 years Based on her English usage, she seems to be from North America or one of the Commonwealth countries. In some areas of NA you can get married at 16, so that means, at a minimum, she's 16+18=34. Beware that, when you ask her for her age and she says , "Oh, only 28".

Even in the nineties they had buttons saying, "I have a fine arts degree... you want fries with that?" I mean, the consequences weren't a secret even then. That being said, why'd you go for it? You had ways of finding out that in advance of signing up for it. Um, no, the therapist misspoke. It's not realistic to think that a) he can find someone like that, and 2) that that someone will stay that way. If he wants to marry he may have to either a) shorten the list, or b) be prepared for frustration and unhappiness (and eventual adoption of MGTOW).

In the US marriage is generally regulated by the states, though if you are married in one it will be recognized in other states. Not all states allow common-law marriage (what you are worried about in the top post) but alas, some still do. I'd say that you can contact a lawyer, but a lawyer can only tell you the way the law is at the time you talk to the lawyer. Legislatures are changing the laws in each session, so the law may change tomorrow and you'd be screwed. (This is why MGTOW is the safe…

Equally unskilled in woodworking... but I would strongly suggest screws. With nails, you have to use muscle power to drive them in, and if you need to replace a piece of wood, you have to use muscle power to pull them out. Screws, all you have to have is an electric drill. Source: helped a friend (who is skilled) redo his deck. Taking out nailed-in pieces: about 5 minutes of straining per piece of wood; screwed-in pieces: about 2 minutes, and no strain. Made me a believer.

It was hard to learn how to use "you guys" in the early 90s, when I was still learning English. "Guy" meant human male; but "guys" could be mixed-gender groups, as well as all-one-gender groups (all female or all male)--a confusing thing for someone coming from a pretty strictly gendered language to a mostly-gender-lacking language like English. Nope. "Men are underpaid, but they deserve it! And women should be paid even more!" will be the new lawsuit. I hate being Mr. Negative, but what can you do when being Mr. Positive means I keep being wrong?

For a combat-time reuse of the casings, see the movie Jadotville.

Anger (and resentment) are natural reactions to being mistreated. So being angry for a bit is fine. Get past it, let it go and start working on reaching happiness. Hint: your happiness does not lie with or involve another person.

I wonder... As far as I understand, Jesus has been dead for some time. Does her post mean she's a practicing necrophile?

I used to think that going back to the stone age would be better. But then I got to thinking, "what do I know about hunting? or which mushrooms or plants are safe to eat? or even building a shack?" I am a child of city civilization and the modern age; put me in the wilderness naked and alone and I won't survive long. I hate admitting it, but even though I see much wrong in today's world, I know I'd be dead very quickly if it went back to yesterday's world.

If I understand correctly, the "it's hard and I didnt have 100% success" is the part you thought was an excuse?

Waaaaah. Something is DIFFICULT, so... that's an excuse, right? Not quite. He's trying to improve himself and looking for advice, not trying to get an excuse. He's the guy who asks, "What can I do better? I've gone from lifting 10 lbs to 50 lbs, then plateaued; how do I get to 80 lbs or even 100 lbs?"

Once upon a time I felt the same way. Gave up my shot at college for her; gave up a chance at a great career for her; and she told me that she would dump me if her other flame were to show some interest in her. It felt as if the bottom of my world dropped out from under me. As if I'd lost everything and had no reason to go on. You know what she did though? In making me feel as if I'd lost everything, she freed me. When you have nothing more to lose, there is no lower down you can go. You cannot …

Weird... I work with several other guys. When they see a physically attractive woman, they will stare (even the guy who is over 60). I will look at her once; decide that, yeah, she checks off a bunch of items on my attractiveness checklist, and probably on other men's checklists; and then look away because I can't bring myself to care enough to continue looking. I can't tell whether it's age (40), or having my eyes opened (it started slightly before I started looking into MGTOW, but after the "w…

Even if women took those pictures (possible, but not likely--why take photos of your female "best friends forever" if there's a homeless man to spoil the photo), I doubt that a woman labelled them "the world according to a feminist" or added the "privileged" and "oppressed" arrows. No, the photos, as they were posted, were in no way meant to make fun of the homeless, the intent was to highlight intentional blindness to men's suffering. If a woman were to take a photo along those lines, though, i…

The post does not make fun of homeless men. Rather, the post indicates that women claim to be oppressed even though their life is materially better than a nearby man who is suffering. That is what the post intends to highlight.

Change your environment. It's hard to grow when swimming in a pool of poison. It's also the easier change. And once you've made even a small but successful change in your surroundings it helps build your confidence to tackle greater/harder changes, either to your environment or yourself.
