I still like Joe's show b/c of what he's put together but I'm just tired of Californians coming into TX...they can clearly see that CA is failing but can't seem to square the idea that the Democrat model for society doesn't actually improve lives the way they think it does.

After several relationships I realized I was in a cycle of improve self -> find gf -> get fat -> no sex -> get fat, go broke -> no gf -> improve self. After the last go-round I decided to stay single for a year so I could learn to improve life and be happy on my own. During that time I found MGTOW and decided to keep the streak going...and now I'm happier than ever :)

You didn't waste anyone's time. A new GF will make you feel good for a while but that is not a ride you want to get on while you're depressed. Pick up a new hobby and you'll feel a lot better.

I find occasional amusement in trolling the hamster. Instead of giving direct feedback, I lead down the logical pathway with Socratic questioning. The easiest way is getting her to start talking shit and egg it on until she projects her flaw onto someone else. Then, I spring the trap and watch that motherfucker spin. "Wait, don't you do that?" There's at least 5 seconds of silence while they try to square the circle and it is fucking golden.

Set expectations. I told them that I'm not going to participate in frivolous family events and only to call me if there was something heavy that needed to be moved. Unsurprisingly, they were fine with me taking on a purely utility role. It's not particularly MGTOW-kosher, but it takes the heat off my dad and he's worked hard enough already.

It's frustrating to see extreme cases of simping because it reminds me of the cringe-worthy shit I did when I was younger. As philip_i_fry_y notes, we're the odd one out if we're not participating in the sexual marketplace but broadly speaking young men today don't have a successful model to go off of - the rules have changed so much that what was considered acceptable "courtship" half a decade ago is sexual assault by today's standards. Ultimately I think that's the issue, and it's a longstandi…

It gave me the space to become a better friend, son, brother, and man. A lot of men, especially young men, tend to define what's important in terms of what women demand of them. Walking away from that provides necessary breathing room to focus on their own values. Once those are known, a higher quality of living is sure to follow.

Excellent book. Word to the wise - the nice guy programming is deep and even after you've given up those behaviors, "nice guy guilt" may creep up even years later. Not a reason to stop reading, though. Best of luck on your journey.

Without getting too philosophical/metaphysical, there's no way to find the absolute truth. But there are useful approximations. MGTOW is one of them. Your own senses are another (look it up, even your own vision isn't real-time). To break it down into actionable steps: Adopt a model in your everyday life. Observe how well that model predicts actual outcomes. When something happens outside of the prediction, note the exception. If there are many exceptions, update the model or find a new one. Lat…

No worries my guy. If it makes any difference most of my friends are the same but once I started seeing results my current gym bud asked if we could do regular workouts in the free gym at my apartment (you can't beat free!) Either way, I'm dedicating today's lift to you brother. Best of luck on your fitness goals!

MGTOW is not a wealth-building tool; it does, however, reduce your expenses. Modern women don't cook or clean. They spend your money to get take-out and hire a maid. Consider also that she will want a house, and it must be stocked with groceries. Welp, food and cleaning costs just went up again. You can "spend more time working", but once you hit ~$600/wk (the salary floor in the US) your employer will either cut your hours or move you to salaried pay to save money. Then you get paid the same am…

It feels better after a couple of weeks. I was able to stave off my cravings with seltzer water (think La Croix) which scratched my itch for beer quite nicely. Also you don't have to 100% torpedo your drinking buddies. Once you're enjoying your sobriety (and believe me brother, it is fucking sweet), you'll find spending time with your friends just as much fun when you're sober (even if they're not). Also, money. You will be astounded by how much money you save.

I know it's cliche but find a gym buddy. Just got back into the gym with a friend a few months ago and the social pressure is great motivation to keep us consistent. As for workouts themsevles we started pyramid training this month (start with a high weight at a low volume and decrease/increase on each subsequent set). Can't say we've seen visual changes but we've been able to add more reps to our heavy sets so far.

I had the misfortune of dating a woman I was both in love with and whom I thought was totally "out of my league". We both made good money but were basically living paycheck to paycheck. I started budgeting obessively but never stuck to it because when baby wants to get high and go to Waffle House daddy's got to make it happen. Well, fast forward to a month after the breakup and I check my checking account to see if I was on pace to make rent. Lo and behold, I've got an extra $1000 in the bank. T…

Similar boat. I'd say double down on what you're doing already. Try going to bed early and waking up before the crack of dawn to work on your legal doc script. Practice guitar on the PC before bed. Aside from that it's more or less a waiting game.

As men we need responsibility in order to feel satisfaction with our lives. Tradcons present that as a wife and kids, but that's just a derivative of the true need - to belong in and provide for a tribe. Treat your friends as your brothers. Take it upon yourself to help them when they need it, to help them succeed in their goals. Spend some time working on a project with your Dad, and cook your Mom dinner every so often. Even if you spend 90% of your time by yourself you will find fulfillment.

Labor is a market like any other; job security requires a niche. Find a city where your skillset is uncommon but essential OR build a skillset that your market needs but is still unmet. Get shit done. If you're stuck on something ask for help. If you run out of work to do ask for more, or better yet propose your own tasks once you understand the job. Good managers will love you for this and make sure to keep you around. If management is shitty, leave. #1 should make sure you have options availab…

I've gone down this path. At the end of the day you still need food and shelter, which means you still need Uncle Sam's monopoly money. "But wait, I built my own home on a farm that collects rainwater and solar/wind energy - it's completely off-grid." Congrats, you still have to pay property taxes for that land...in Federal Reserve Dollars. The road leads to nowhere. Just save what you need to cover yourself and watch the show from the sidelines.

I rotate between a few responses: "Too expensive"/"I can't afford it" - no female will ever question this "Haven't found the right one yet" - only when asked by a simp (or grandma) "I don't have the temperament"/"I'll cheat and lose my kids" - surprisingly good with the parents, guaranteed to piss off any females but divert the conversation (definitely NOT for grandma) "I'd rather pay child support than child support and alimony." - dad never questions this "I already have what I need to be happ…

AWALT. You're an orbiter. She's "interested" now because one of the plays in the vindictive ex-gf playbook is fucking someone her ex-bf knows to get under his skin. The sex stories are a bait to let you know she's wet and ready. As 5411S said, ejac and evac if you want, but I'd advise to stay away.

Read through the whole thing. It's funny -- he spends the first 2/3 bashing MGTOW (with an oddly specific jab at 3rd wave feminism) but in the final stretch acknowledges hypergamy only to sacrifice the philosphy of self-improvement at its altar. I'll half-agree with his final point though: while he fails to see the nuance between redpill rage and the recognizing the pitfalls of female nature, the forum feels more "fuck bitches" than "get money" as of late.

Allow me to tell you a tale from personal experience. When I was in HS I was super Catholic and thought having premarital sex would send me straight to hell. I ended up dating a thot - how that happened is another story - who insisted on having sex about 2 weeks into the relationship. Well, the hormones were raging and I reckoned that I was either going to get married or break the sixth commandment very soon, but I was going to fuck her either way. I broke after 2 more weeks. Going into it (no p…

When I was really depressed, someone told me a story about a suicidal man who sold everything, flew to mexico, and spent all of his money on booze, coke, and hookers. After a week of that he suddenly wasn't suicidal anymore. I took this to heart, cashed out my 401(k) early, quit my job and tried to start a business. I failed miserably, but knowing that I had the freedom to make my life whatever I wanted - or to destroy it - renewed my enthusiasm for living. If you're absolutely serious on killin…

"Secure your own mask before helping others." No, aircraft safety procedures won't lead you to enlightenment. But I find it a good encapsulation of the idea that to provide for others, you must first provide for yourself - in a way it's neighbors with "be the change you want to see" and "worry about the log in your eye before the splinter in someone's foot". My personal definition of a man is someone who provides for his tribe (and by extension, himself). It is well-documented here that men prov…

I wasted a lot of my life on self-pity. It's a convenient feel-good mechanism but I find it makes life very stagnant. I'll tell you what took me 10 years to realize - each of us is responsible for solving our own problems, regardless of whether we caused them. Self-pity is what happens when we assign blame instead of taking that in stride. If women don't like you it doesn't mean you're cursed. It means they don't see the benefit from associating with you. This may mean you're hiding or lacking i…

IEX, Alpha Vantage, and Alpaca offer free APIs you can use to pull historical prices. IEX offers income statements, dividend schedules, and social sentiment among other things. AV is more focused with numerous endpoints for key indicators. And Alpaca rounds out the list with only price data (pulled from IEX) but makes up for it with a full cash and paper-trading API to place orders. These are the few I've dabbled with but there are plenty of others. If you're trying to get up and running fast, I…

For all the MGTOWs there are still a lot of cucks willing to get married. Sure, there's a slowdown in the wedding industry but that's due to most millenials pushing it back rather than forgoing it completely. I spent most of my 20's without going to a single wedding, but around 28 those clocks start ticking and suddenly everyone you know is getting hitched all at once. At this point I just show up out of a sense of obligation and free food. As for the bridezillas, every female becomes one. Some …

Sounds like you're depressed, my dude. I had a similar situation at your age. Ended up going on a juice cleanse then vegetarian diet to get some weight of. Once stairs weren't an issue for me my mood improved. That got me into the gym from time to time (natural highs are the best) and helped me see that my life was mostly the result of my own decisions. Several jobs, interstate moves, and a failed business later, and I'm at the happiest point in my life. The key at your age is to take ownership …

Because women compete with us in the workforce they feel the need to do so in all domains. Unlike male competition which can evolve into a friendly rivalry over time, female competition is total war that extends into every area of life. So when they learned to compete with men at work, they took that shit out the door with them.

(This somehow turned into an essay. Summary in bold at the bottom.) "It's just your turn" manifests from the intersection of female nature, economics, and human psychology — specifically Briffault's Law, the Law of Diminishing Returns, and behavioral tolerance (respectively). To begin, Briffault's Law states: The female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place. — Rober…

To quote my last car dealer, "If you own a truck and you're not using it for business you're losing money." If you're stuck in the city may as well spring for a commuter car with good MPG. Creative option if you want to keep the truck is to find a local contractor (or any other business that could use a truck) and rent it to them until you're ready to go hermit mode.

I used to feel the same way about the environment. Preached about it for years but what brought the most solace was shutting up and taking personal responsibility. This started with getting a recycle bin, separating my waste, and driving it to the reclaim center. Instant improvement since I felt like I was "doing my part". Funnily enough, once I got into the habit I bought bins for my friends/family so I could recycle beer/soda cans at their place when I went to visit. Didn't get preachy, just a…

I used to appease others because I was afraid of how they would respond if I disagreed with them and asserted my own desires. Eventually I noticed that this was essentially supressing my mascuilinity and leading to explosive outbursts. At the risk of sounding cliche, your masculine energy can only be bottled for so long before it forces its way out. For me this manifested as a cycle of substance abuse and property damage. Eventually I learned that no amount of appeasement will make everyone like…
