Is she dead weight?I can honestly say my love for her is dead. I pretend to be the loving husband but I just feel like a financial cuck. I do have a 10 year old child with her. Im mostly afraid of the fallout with her family that I like, my child resenting me, and honestly, yes, hurting her. I shouldn't be afraid of hurting her as she's been publicly hurting me for the last 6+ years. Ive worked hard for what I have but not anything I wouldn't give up in a heartbeat for peace and calmness in my life. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/06/26 12:34 AM
Can't do this anymoreDon't become a statistic man. You want the pain to end and that's understandable only time and commitment to yourself can heal that. Focus on what's ahead. Take care of yourself by hitting the gym and eating right. Stay away from social media as its only going to make things worse. You're not allowed to give up, so many have come down the same path before you and come out better men for it. We love you and you NEED to keep fighting. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/06/26 12:24 AM
Is she dead weight? In all honestly I think my resentment has solidified too much to even care to try anymore. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/06/26 04:27 PM
Is she dead weight?The test said "you ARE the fath....captive" | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/06/26 04:25 PM
How did you actually pull the trigger?Honestly the plan would be to sign the lease on a place for my kids and I prior to dropping the bomb. That way I can take my kids and move into our new home while the stbxw continues to live with family. Not like I'm moving states, just across town so my kids can still attend the same school. I don't want to disrupt their lives anymore than I would be. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/10/25 01:10 AM
How did you actually pull the trigger?Well, there's no avoiding leaving the house. We live with her grandma after some financial troubles due to illness. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/09/25 06:12 PM
She used to take my breath away, now she takes the wind out of my sails...No degree. No ambition. No give-a-shit. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/25 06:44 PM
She used to take my breath away, now she takes the wind out of my sails...Continuing to live like this is going to put me in an early grave eventually. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/25 06:43 PM
She used to take my breath away, now she takes the wind out of my sails...Baggage is an understatement.... | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/25 06:42 PM
She used to take my breath away, now she takes the wind out of my sails...She has family that will go for the throat....I just know it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/25 06:41 PM
She used to take my breath away, now she takes the wind out of my sails...I do appreciate the insite, and I feel as though the business IS a contributing factor in all this. However, she's been this way for 6+ years, and I only started investing any considerable time in my business 9 months ago. Prior to that, it was one or two jobs a month, here and there on a weekend. I started the business for many reasons but one of the most important ones was a way to regain some control over my life. Im sure the business is a stress point but it was been this way loooooong befor… | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/25 06:34 PM
Fears that kept you from pulling the plug?I would never go back with her if i were to divorce. I also would likely never get married again. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/23 07:49 PM
Fears that kept you from pulling the plug?It makes me really think about filing before we get too much more financial complicated. We don't have anything together on paper. The only combined asset we have is a bank account with minimal savings. We have separate and equal retirements, separate and equal vehicle worths. Ive got toys and shes got horses etc. I would be a pretty easy split. Idk why I'm so damn hesitant.... | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/23 07:42 PM
Fears that kept you from pulling the plug?My kid is 7. Still young enough to learn life without both parents at the same time and not have much animosity towards the situation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/23 07:37 PM
Fears that kept you from pulling the plug? That kid hating me would tear me apart. He had a melt down when he heard his cousins grandparents were getting divorced..... | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/23 05:00 PM
Fears that kept you from pulling the plug?Luckily she makes about 2/3 what i make so alimony will likely be 0. The CS though would be fairly sizeable part of my income. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/23 04:59 PM
