This. Women are not a monolith. A lot of dating advice is very gender essentialist and makes many erroneous, often culturally ingrained cultural assumptions, i.e. "all women want kids", "women want to pairbond" and "women ripped and chisled men". It is completely ignorant of culture, media and socioeconomic structures that normalize those preferences in the first place.

That has never been the cases in certain kinds of indigenous societies. States, castes, classes, capital and organized religion has never been a cultural universal within human cultures. My rule of thumb (as a guy) is that there is a time and place for everything. When I am there at the gym, I am there to do one thing: do my workout routine with death metal blaring in my headphones and GTFO. I used to cold approach a lot of women in my city's central business district in my early 20s but I have decided to discard that from my daily routine as women bumbling out off work on their evening commute isn't exactly the best circumstance for cold approach.

I followed him extensively when I was getting into pickup around 2015-16. I found his London Daygame model style cringey so I chose to focus on the Natural Lifestyles' content instead. His lack of engagement with and wilful ignorance of mindfulness was rather appalling to me. I also didn’t like his overtly macho aesthetic.

I know stories of photographers who end up becoming dodgy personalities because they fixate on making their profession an avenue for sexual connections, leading to abuse and manipulation. I am not saying that meeting women through photography is bad in and of itself, but going to it with the explicit intention of getting laid is a flawed mindset. If he is able to get into photography with interests extraneous to photographing models, then he is in the right mindset.
