How often are girls unreceptive or hostile in response to your techniques and how do you handle it?

Don't dwell on it. I can relate to trying to find a balance between quiet confidence and putting on an act. A concept I read recently has really stuck with me. "Do everything for self-amusement." I've been maintaining my quiet confidence while simultaneously having fun and trying to amuse myself. It almost creates a snowball effect. It starts with laughing, making jokes with friends. Then it becomes approaching a girl and saying something ridiculous. You're so amused you can barely get the sente…

Congrats on the progress. Some constructive criticism: I think each set didn't really go anywhere because your openers were weak and you didn't transition fast enough. Other than the theory about the free passes you were just asking them a series of questions. You have to transition and show that you're bringing value. When the girl said her tattoo was of her grandmother you could say something like, "I saw this girl at the store yesterday who had a YOLO tattoo. I'm actually thinking of getting …

I never use a passive voice but I'm pretty sure my voice is too neutral and doesn't include enough passion or breaking rapport.

Archer: Keep your story vague. That's lesson one. Cyril: No, I mean, morality aside, how do you keep track of all these lies? Archer: Practice, Cyril. Lying is like 95% of what I do. Cyril: In your job? Archer: ...Sure . Don't lie! Be Genuine!

Right. I guess its more about subtlety and letting everything reveal itself more organically. It just seems some guys I've been out with and some people on here seem to treat it as more of a performance. That's really not what I want to do. I'm always up for grabbing a beer. Sent you a PM.

you failed to notice this because you were too consumed by your own self confidence and ego I think you were taken aback and left worldess not in spite, but because of the source of your confidence. I think you're right. My personality and by extension my approach has always had a major element of being cool, calm, and collected. Friendly, but somewhat aloof. I focused on not concerning myself with attachments and outcomes. In certain situations this can work very well. It wasn't so much that I …

If the clothes stuck out to you, you could have said "Where did you get that sweater? I was thinking of getting my sister/nice one like that for Christmas." Also, the fact that she was walking home might have made her a little uncomfortable. I would have made it clear that I only had a few minutes then had to be somewhere so she didn't feel like I was stalking her. Other than that nice job!

Yeah I have a hard time differentiating. Is my opening line about being an alcoholic a neg or sarcasm? It seems to be a bit of both.

I left out one part of the conversation that I think I wasted. She was telling me where she lived and how safe it was and that she leaves her door unlocked. Then she jokingly said "please don't come over." I completely blew this. I feel like I should have said "I won't unless you want me to" or something along those lines. Not sure if that would have been creepy though.

Thanks. This is a great way to think of it. I just feel like your ego does take a little blow when things don't go as you expect. It causes you to second guess yourself.

That makes sense. I viewed the sarcastic flirting as a good thing. Are you saying that when a girl is continuously sarcastic its ok to continue to give it right back and not think of it in terms of negging? That was my natural reaction but I didn't want to go overboard with it.

I wondered if I should have asked for her number but at the time it didn't seem right. I felt like I was in control of the situation and if I had asked her for her number right there at the bar, regardless of whether she gave it or not, the control would shift in her favor.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
