I mean I think the government should be funding the healthcare and education of its citizens more than it funds wars or corporate subsidies. I believe the pros of the development and implementation of a standardized primary-second-public post secondary school system far outweigh the cons. More people are educated in a more efficient fashion. A more educated society is able to produce and create more, and thus is able to more effectively contribute to the collective community whether it be a town…

I agreed with that posters statement about the misuse of the word liberal, I'm not playing into the emotional mud slinging. I should've quoted the exact part I agreed with.

Society is a collective concept. If you'd like to discuss this substantively that'd be cool, but please do not call people who disagree with your world view "tyrants". I don't wish to impose my will on others through force, this is my opinion and I will impose my opinion though discourse and civil interaction such as voting.

Completely agree, I myself am politically liberal but I stay very far away from all the regressive leftist PC/feminist bullshit. I hate when I'm lumped in with them just because I think we should have better healthcare/education and that we shouldn't contribute to significant environmental damage...

I will be voting, probably for Dr. Stein at this point.

I wouldn't vote for he nor Hillary. Whomever does could be generally considered a mindless, ignorant drone.

Depends on each person's opinion of it. In my own opinion, I think it's fucking stupid. However, I still respect the fact that you're pursuing your goal and doing what you want to do. Your call, honestly.

Become the next Elon Musk. I'm in engineering school right now and I'd love to be a successful entrepreneur spinning multiple society-progressing companies. I want to help our planet and as many people as I can while also becoming an icon for human success. That's my ultimate goal. I'm feeling confident but I know it will be difficult as fuck. Despite that, I'm not going to give up.

Good advice. I find in my experiences, the stronger I mentally train who I am the less I blush. Look into meditation and reading some books recommended on the parent sub or /r/Stoicism. Then just go out, live your life, and have as much experience as you can.

Agree. He can definitely handle himself and knows how to wield power (for better or for worse). Like you though, I can't stand his political views. I know being liberal on this sub welcomes a brigade of downvotes but I simply cannot bring myself to vote for anyone running out of the GOP.

I'm a progressive politically but even in my view, this law is asinine.

Yeah that's what I was planning to do. I don't want to make a big deal out of it, if it doesn't work out no problem. Thanks for your input man.

Good advice. My game was a little off because I smoke and drank a good amount but I suppose I kind of just wanted to let loose with my friends since I haven't seen them. You're right about the next best thing idea, some Chad was chatting her up quite a bit even though he was already getting with her best friend. Lesson learned to never let my game slip and reinforce frame when needed, thank you.

Thanks for taking the time to explain accordingly. I don't have time to explain politics to morons on the internet. Appreciate it and agreed.

Senate is GOP. They're gonna pass it because their party proposed it. That's not how US politics works.

I've made my mom feel pretty shitty while talking up some RP theory when she was bitching at me one day. Yeah it sucks to make her feel bad but at least I'm being up front with her. At this point, I've realized (the hard way) that it's virtually impossible to reason with any woman, mother or not.

Don't be sorry, shit happens. By the way, if I may recommend meditation and stoic philosophy to help you through whatever you're going through. I don't care what anyone says, that shit really helps you develop a bulletproof type of consciousness and thought process. Good luck.

I was in a similar thinking state to you about a month ago. I began hooking up with more and more women but found myself liking one of them in particular. By the time she cheated on me with my friend it was too late. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Stick to the plan, don't get attached, always look to better yourself physically and mentally. Don't think of women as a prize for your hard work but rather a side effect. The real prize is becoming the best version of yourself without having to r…

I mean it's obviously not a pretty image and it doesn't help when one of my other friends sent me a picture of it happening but tbh I just don't give a fuck. It sucks when women betray us for people we perceive to be less than we are, but we cannot control their decisions. The only decision making I control is my own. If she wants to fuck up everything meaningful we had for a drunk hook up with some little shit who I thought was my friend, she's not worth my time. And trust me when I say my time…

Yep. For example, my girl just cheated on me last night with one of my friends. I honestly didn't expect it but through the theory I've learned here and studying stoicism, I could honestly care less. On to the next. Don't let anyone get you down and always be prepared.

You'd be surprised at how many attractive people you can find at those places. Especially if you live in a bigish city.

Croatia Squad, EDX, Calippo, Disclosure, Funkin Matt, Gorgon City, Mat Zo, Porter Robinson, Audien, Zonderling, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Lapalux, Eric Prydz, Tchami, on my daily driver playlists. Lots of other more obscure artists/tracks too. What about you?

And no matter what you do, DO NOT GET MARRIED. Keep all your monies to yourself. There's merit to this last point. Even though I'm only 18, this happened to my own father. By his early 20s he was making 6 figures with all sorts of bonuses and additional real estate investment across NYC. Then he turned 24 and married my mom. Shit went downhill over the next decade and they divorced eventually. My dad still makes good money and has a kickass house and multiple cars, but could've done sooo much mo…

Some good stuff in here. I would also like to piggy back off this comment and recommend some philosophical texts. I find philosophy and red pill theory to go directly hand in hand, especially regarding stoicism. Some really eye opening works I've read are The Power of Now and Stoicism: The Art of Happiness. These type of books are relatively easy to pick up and read and are geared towards the contemporary reader. I find that if I read maybe 10 pages or so every few days it really helps me with m…

Nope. I listen to electronic music and ambient (deep house, bass, IDM, progressive trance, etc) and love it. Lyrics are for pussies.

Aye the problem of our time. Good vs evil. Red vs blue. You vs me. Them vs us. There's A LOT more to it. People need to wake up and claim consciousness.

Yeah. I suppose this can definitely be the case. I don't think that that is too much of an issue though, it's just a crappy job at the supermarket and all young people from my school work there anyway.

Awesome advice. Exactly what I needed to hear. BTW your speculation about my coworker would usually be very valid but in this case I've been close friends with her for ~2 years so I think she is genuinely trying to help. Still, as you pointed out, it was beta as fuck of me to get her involved. I think in a few days I will tell this girl what's up or else she can fuck off and on to the next. Thanks again bro! Edit: also wanted to say, the beta inside me is kicking and screaming but I know this wa…
