My x insisting on a divorce turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m in my best shape in my life, giving my children the best attention and care I ever did, happily dating and exploring etc.. I hope your father sees that silver lining too

First you have to understand that she doesn’t love you, and she changed her mind because her fall back plan did not materialize. If you decide to take her back out of pity (or weakness), make her sign a postnup that protects your life and your kids lives when she goes coocoo again… because she will.

It is, along with a team I put together. We’ve been working on it for almost a year. The pain is real. DM me if interested to know more.

Check out BillingLens.com It’s human assisted with AI service that reviews your legal bills and communicates with your lawyer on your behalf for clarifications. For $80/month only, the attorney I work with understood not to dump ridiculous billable hours on my case. I love this service.

My divorce is over but I’m still having some things hanging so I started using https://www.billinglens.com/ They review your legal bills, spot absurdities, and talk to law-firm on your behalf with AI and human in the loop. $49/month, no brainer. My lawyer changed her attitude 180 degrees after they came in. And no, through BillingLens I found out that legally lawyers cannot charge you for administrative work.

Hey OP, don’t over think it. Don’t over think it. Don’t over think it. Divorce is very common. Don’t over think it. If she doesn’t want to be with you… sorry for her loss. Stand tall. And make sure your future self will respect you.

If she’s recording you, then she’s probably also trying to read your emails , mail, and anything she can get. Try to kick her out of the house. You stay, she leaves. Avoid interaction. Avoid anger. Grey rock her. And if she hasn’t filed yet, you do it ASAP.

I think you’re lucky she’s out of your life. Imagine spending your later years with a liability like the woman that was your wife… Also your son is going to college…You’re achieving a milestone many single dads are dreaming about. I’m sorry you’ve had it bad, but I promise you, many have it way worse. Focus on you. Find what pleases you. You’re already out of woods.

It’s not a philosophical question, it’s a political one. States started adopting 50/50 split because politicians running for office wanted to win women votes (50% of votes basically) and feminist movements started lobbying for that. And this, Doctor, is a main root of evil in our society. Make sure you keep some money for the next hot young wife.

I did a lot of his , and the judge shoved it in my ass. She ignored my court-accepted motions. She didn’t let me have an opening statement. And worse than everything she didn’t give me more than 3 minutes to ask witnesses questions while she gave the opposing council all the time she wants. And to fuck me more, the judge ruled I should pay 50% of my x wife’s legal fees over and above a ruling that is not fair in and shape or form. But still better than lawyers, because lawyers are incentivized t…

Congratulations dude, truly. Only 3 years, no kids, your house is separate property. Thats a very cheap price for the most valuable lesson a man learns in his life. Now just make sure your lawyer don’t milk you. Family lawyers live of this.

I worked with 3 different lawyers, consulted at least 6. The 4 I engaged officially all seem friendly and dedicated at the beginning, then they start milking you. It was inevitable that I had to keep paying their inflated bills or they start ignoring me. You have to know what’s at stake in terms of assets and custody. It’s always about this. My advice is to set a budget in your mind and tell them what it is although they will all say “we don’t know and can’t guarantee etc etc.). Monitor how much…

I hope he’s not alcoholic and did not get dragged into a downward spiral, I can speak on behalf of him to tell you that he loves you. Just be kind to him, and every now and then tell him that you love him. Divorce is harder on men then on women.

I went pro se in a post divorce enforcement situation. The judge hated it. She completely ignored my motions, which all were well prepared and approved by the court administrator. At the time of the hearing she didn’t let me speak, gave me less than 3 minutes question the witnesses and was very biased. Despite all this, I still felt good not having an attorney because family lawyers are thieves.

You haven’t been married long, make sure your lawyer fight like hell to cancel or reduce alimony. Fuck these laws. You’re still young, you will recover.

There are millions of other men with similar cases of their wives losing part of their brains along the way. Listen to what I will tell you here: 1- It’s not your fault 2- End this marriage as soon as you can now that she’s seeing someone and in a fog. 3- Fight for as much custody as you can, if you can parent your child. 4- Don’t get screwed by lawyers. Family lawyers are scum and will want to drag it. Do your research. And this too shall pass…

Two years for me in March also. I’m in my best physical shape ever. I’m traveling, meeting old and new friends. I’m connecting with my kids better than ever, when I have them… and I’m definitely closer to the best version of myself way way closer than when I was with that person.
