I’m a little biased because my sister is a junkie that has stolen from me on a couple occasions before I smartened up, but yeah there’s this social myth that it’s not okay to sever ties with family. Maybe there’s even something innate in us that drives us to protect them. I cut my sister out of my life though because I’m obliged to take care of myself. Way less stress and I can focus on work. She texted me out of the blue, said she has weed even though I don’t smoke anymore. I know it’s bribery.

Ik it's cliche, but that saying "don't cross oceans for someone who wouldn't cross a puddle for you" comes to mind. I'm glad you realized this sooner than later. She would've only held you back from achieving your goals.

My mother is a neurotic and alcoholic. She loves me and would cut off her arm for me, but she's too much for me to deal with because she's a ball of stress. I suppose I'm learning to love her. Kind of resent her for divorcing my father, but I'm older now so I've gotten over that. Thankful that I have a mom. She means well and all even though she has her head up her ass.

I'm glad this community exists. Got banned from mgtow for an unpopular opinion so I'm glad there's still a place for men that focuses on ourselves. I haven't posted or lurked around much here but I'm hoping there is more productive conversation than that echo chamber. I don't think it's all so bad over there but I assume they let some closed-minded pussy become a moderator and any point of view opposite to their own beliefs is apparently not welcome.

I was recently banned there and I've been following the subreddit for over a year. I've been a mgtow for 9 years now. No hard feelings, but I realize if you say anything contrary to the hivemind, they won't like that and I think that's the height of hypocrisy because it limits discussion.

I suppose that I personally am a reject insofar that I am expected to live up to an impossible standard and I won't. A standard that the people who might call me a loser don't even live up to themselves. I think I'm more of an outcast, but the thing is I don't care because I don't measure my worth by how much wealth I can accumulate before I die. I don't measure it by what I can buy for people who only pretend to give a shit about me because I make ends. I live by my own standards. You learn ear…

No disrespect to any veterans out there, but I agree. Fighting in a war is courageous and noble in itself. I have the utmost respect for a veteran. With that being said I wouldn't fight for politicians and a society that doesn't give a damn if I live or die. I saw a meme earlier in which people were unironically saying it takes more bravery to be a stripper than it does to be shot at and potentially die. I would only fight if there was virtue in exactly what I was fighting for. Men sacrifice the…

I'd say most girls who identify as nerdy do it as an aesthetic or facade. Like you said they aren't genuinely interested in intellectual subjects but rather want to appear smart to other people, or perhaps look different because that shit seems to be hip now. Since they are following a trend they end up looking the same therefore it's self-defeating in itself. They'll have similar make-up, clothing, haircut, and glasses. Not saying some girls don't have niche interests but generally speaking I n…

Nah not really for me. I threw my flesh light in a fire. It was inconvenient to clean and rubbing one out does the trick anyway. Jerking off is better than sex sometimes too IMO unless they can utilize their vaginal muscle. A flesh light doesn't quite squeeze like a natural vagina does.

You're right. After a few google searches I've realized microchimerism is a real phenomenon, but there are two plausible origins. "(1) cells from an older brother that had been retained in the woman's mother were incorporated by the woman when she was growing in the womb or (2) cells from a male twin that was absorbed before birth." That's from an evolutionary biologist so I'm going to assume that's accurate.

I agree, but I've also noticed an inherent contradiction in women that lean towards socialism. Generally, they value things like money, makeup, clothes, and a plethora of other materialistic possessions. They drive 70-80 percent of consumer purchasing. My question is any of that possible under socialism? If it isn't then they'd be voting against their self-interests.

My dude, you just described the State of which relies on violence and coercion to maintain its funding and its monopoly of goods. For example, if you don't pay taxes you will be thrown in jail. For that reason the state in itself is antithetical to individual liberty. I value liberty over coercion and collectivism. As long as I am not violating the rights of others then I should not be forced into forfeiting my rights to the despotism of the state. I suppose your point is that we need a centrali…

Yes I agree for the most part but not every man pays child support, that's my point. Men are not exempt from the responsibility if they fuck around and get a woman pregnant. You are dissing some of the community here. Some MGTOW were raised by single mothers and they didn't turn out to be simps. You are also claiming every man with a deadbeat father is a simp and that's not generally applicable. There are men without fathers who grew up to be great men. I would never deny that boys need a father…

Yeah of course. I'm not disagreeing with you but I still think their value resides in their character. Like I said, I haven't met a loyal woman other than my grandmother and she's dead.

In defense of that a lot of boys are raised by single mothers. They have to grow up fast, to become men without fathers and essentially protect themselves and their families even though they are boys. At least the mother in those circumstances provides the bare necessities and gives the guidance that she can. Not looking to place the blame on anyone and essentially it's her fault for being knocked up, but it's not her fault if the father busted in her and then disappeared, so hopefully you can s…

Right on. Therefore give guidance to number one. Provide for ourselves and protect the ones close to us, but more importantly protect ourselves from thieves and emotional vampires. Also, this is secondary, but it's always beneficial to try and redpill young men if we can get through to them so that they aren't socially engineered into blue pilled simps. Albeit unfortunately it usually takes firsthand experience to open their eyes.

Also to reiterate, I do agree with the OP insofar that women do lose their reproductive value as they age and they lose their SMV, too. They start to close in on that wall at around 30. The saying goes "Men age like whisky, women age like milk." That's a biological fact. However, none of that is of importance to what I value in reality because I am not merchant in the market for a woman.

Thanks for the reply. I agree it objectifies them now that you mention it. It objectifies men as providers (wallets) and protectors (women and children first; men are expendable). It objectifies women as baby factories. If I'm being analytical about it and the conclusion of the op is a consequence of its premise, then I'd like to add: wouldn't a man's value decrease with age as well as a woman's value? Think about it this way. A man in his 60s is less capable of protecting anyone including himse…

Not sure maybe they thought I was white knighting by implying that I don't consider women valuable based on their fertility. That's merely my perspective because I don't have a desire to be a father. I don't claim the wall isn't undefeated either, btw. But back to the fertility thing, there's a double standard there because if a man is sterilized does that diminish his value as a person? If a woman was loyal and average looks, keyword if then I wouldn't care about if she was sterile, and I'm say…

I think a woman's value resides in her character. How she treats others. Loyalty being a trait which is valuable, but I've never met a loyal woman besides my grandmother. Even my own mother divorced my father, and she's part of that 80% percent of divorces are filed by women statistic. Theoretically, I'd date an average looking girl considering that I am average as well, and I wouldn't care whatsoever if she was sterile, that's actually preferable because I don't want children. What matters to m…

Did we just become best friends? Haha. I think most important thing is to prioritize happiness. You could do the career thing and make bank if that's what you truly want for yourself, but it will come at the cost of valuable time. It is worth it if you save and plan a retirement. What you described is my ideal too. It's gonna take a little work to get there, but if I'm frugal with my money and don't buy useless shit I will get there. Exactly. Do not suffer from oneitis and everything else should be good. That longing for true love can be a killer because it's like searching for something in the dark, and it is a search for something that does not exist in the literal sense of the word.

My advice is acceptance or change if that's what you desire. Did you used to have motivation and somewhere along the line you lost it? Was there anything that used to make you tick? Also, do you truly need to have children or true love to have a reason to live? It seems to me that you value those things because those things seem to give life meaning or a purpose. Spot on! It is the result of this culture of escape we have at our fingertips. Distractions can have positive or negative outcomes. There's a negative outcome if we distract ourselves as a form of self-denial because that form of escape stems from an inability to intuit unconscious emotions and make them conscious; it is a method of keeping thoughts from conscious awareness. No personal growth can come from sweeping something unpleasant under the rug because whatever it may be, it is still there…

This shit is fucked, man. It pisses me off that women are capable of lying about something so serious and destroy someone's life. I find solace in the fact that I don't associate with anyone. I'd still need to be careful even in a scenario where I am not interested in someone like for example at a bar and still be accused because her ego is hurt and jumped at a bar by a bunch of white knights. Thankfully it's never happened but I've heard stories.

I think they know this and that's why there's that narrative about how women are so great in general. They like to assume they are great by default. The truth is that even the greatest women in history pale in comparison to the greatest men. There's a reason Joan of Arc didn't fight in battle. It's the reason the bar is set so low. Women can't compete with men.

I agree our numbers are growing but I think it's erroneous to call mgtow a movement. When calling it a movement there's an implication that it's comparable to a campaign. We are not herd animals. On the subject of a woman going her own way I think it's theoretically possible, but she'd have to deny what makes her a woman and develop masculine traits. In other words she'd have to become a man. The ability to self-overcome and be alone with herself, to physically protect herself against any threats to her safety, and have the strength of will to renunciate her hypergamous nature, of which is arguably an inherent biological force. The typical woman is too dependent on others to do this on h…

I hear you. Without delving too deep into its implicit meaning I don't think it intends to sound profound in itself I merely think there is an air of truth to it. Yes that's true and I wouldn't stop there. It is society in general; the weakest of society imposing their values on the rest of us and calling their values good. It's evident in how the weak often call the strong evil. It's like the feminists saying masculinity is a bad thing.

I see nothing wrong with the desire to have a family only a contradiction with the morality itself which seeks to make a virtue out of weaknesses like obedience and submission. It seeks to punish the strong and powerful and call their qualities evil. The debilitating aspect of that kind of morality is that it prevents individuals from self-actualization by instilling guilt into their conscience. It's the weak imposing their values on the strong.
