–	Texting to confirm I think it's absolutely necessary. If someone makes plans days or a week in advance and there's radio silence until then, how am I supposed to know if it's still on? (Assuming it's a stranger), I don't know this person. I'm not about to show up just to be stood up. I'd even confirm with friends, because life gets busy & people can forget. Is it only women on dating apps that are 'lower quality', or are you yourself as well? If it is the former, then I think the issue with you is blatant: misogyny.
