I went through a really messy divorce. My ex took advantage of me not wanting to completely up end the kids lives and ended up with full custody. She also financially ruined me. After declaring bankruptcy while she lived in our beautiful 4 bedroom house I ended up in a shitty little 1 bedroom divorced guy apartment. I remember the first summer there they decided to replace the balconies. So there was no longer any railings on them. Just a concrete slab and an edge and long drop. They had screwed…

It is stupid isn't it!? But then again So is family law in this province. For example... She could win 50 mil in a lottery and I'd still be legally required to pay. I can't afford any more lawyers. I spent the last lawyers fees I could afford on fighting to have my kids 50/50 which as I said I lost. But if I could file something on my own with the court I would.

I'm currently having to fight tooth and nail just get 50/50! Well actually to be fair. My ex wife has no problem letting me have 50/50 access. So long as I continue to pay full tabled child support for her as primary residence. The fact that I need a lawyer to force her to obey the law astounds me!

Hey man.. Do yourself a favour and get a lawyer now! Get a lawyer to write up the seperation agreement. We downlaoded one at the time seperation and that really fucked me up. Also as much as you think we can be reasonable adults/ she won't try to screw me.. You can't and she will! My biggest mistake was thinking she could be a reasonable human.

thanks for the link.. I'm a bit concerned that I might fall into the "to rich for legal aid, to poor for a lawyer." trap. But I will certainly give them a call.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
