It's not primarily fear of rejection. It's more like fear that she'll think I'm weird or creepy or whatever and tell all her friends and then I'lll have a bad reputation and nobody will like me then. Maybe I'm just a failure at this. i'm better off not trying.

There are 2 types of hot girls in my eyes. Type 1 is the type that is attractive but we have not much in common so there is no mutual interest in ever talking. I watch from afar and wish I could talk to these people just for social practice but they are usually too popular and have a lot of friends. Type 2 is the down to earth friendly acquaintance. Maybe not objectively hot but a combination of looks and personality makes them seem gorgeous. I'm usually friends with these people and secretly ha…

It's weird because I recognize all my positive qualities which I am proud of but at the same time I have low self esteem and looking for approval. As for the clothes I have a distorted view of my body and I feel more comfortable in the ugly clothing that I grew up with.

I can't talk to them because they won't be interested in talking to me. And if you fail too hard there could be long term consequences.

Also how can I use being a med student to my advantage? It's such a time commitment and the major ev…

I feel like I'm maybe a bit too honest. Everyone has fears and shortcomings but maybe those things should be kept hidden sometimes.

Yeah but the only girls I have time to hit on are my colleagues who are also medical students so that's not really a factor haha.

Yeah I guess my low work confidence is dragging down the social confidence. In the past my work confidence was always high and was part of my identity. Now I don't know how to increase social confidence on its own without increasing it by improving work confidence.
