How much SMV do you attribute to being sub 12% body fat, and getting there really worth the pain? I find that women care more about being big than being ripped, assuming you can stay in the 14-18% range, which if you don't pig out and drink a ton is easy to do.

It's not clear to me from the first quote that the writer is advocating for the mental point of origin to be yourself. He is merely stating that it is our instinct to make ourselves the mental point of origin, and that this can only be overcome by social pressures. I would say that even social pressures cannot overcome this instinct; only the indwelling of the Holy Spirit can do this.

Good observations. I often question whether or not the Church is just another form of a country club where the well-adjusted go to socialize, and how this tendency can be combated. Regarding women, I think it is pretty well established that all the "good" (i.e. attractive) Christian girls are married off relatively young. I would bet there are attractive women in your congregation - it's just that most/all are taken. But stepping back from the assertion that there are "no good looking women in t…

I don't know... that post reads a bit like fan fiction to me, not real life, but who knows? I'm not a 9 yet so I can't say with certainty. I think your greater point stands - sex for sex's sake ultimately is very unfulfilling. It's interesting that a lot of the posts here lately are from guys worried about settling, as if getting the hottest girl in their church/town/city/state/country/world would lead to their ultimate fulfilment - to real joy. Anyone who has dated/married a high SMV woman know…

Lead her to a healthier lifestyle and thin her down. View it as a test of your leadership skills. Should be easy if your description of her is accurate. Any woman who is thin and has a cheerful disposition is by default a head turner (unless you gay.)

Are you sure you're not just being lured away by make-up and slutty clothing? It's just hard for me to believe that in a "sorta mega" church there are no attractive prospects. In general I have observed that church-going women are more attractive (especially as they age) than their worldly counterparts. But maybe that's just the Mid-West. I would say don't let the (((powers that be))) warp your sense of beauty. Instagram models look good in photos, but up close can be rather disgusting. Much bet…

27 still puts you in the acceptable range to marry a 20 year old. Just get one while she's young if you're really having that much trouble. Also, at this point you're just talking orifices. It's not as if once you transition down to the vagina, you will suddenly be free to pursue God's will unburdened. It's clear that you are not finding your satisfaction in your relationship with Him. We've all been there. Make the sacrifice - that's what we are called to do - if not for your future wife, than …

Listen: you have no moral imperative to "force" a relationship into being, and have no obligation to figure out or help this girl come out of her shell, etc. I know early on in my own dating life, I for whatever reason would try to trick myself into liking a girl more than I really did. I think because at that point in my life I didn't have many options. I also took dating a little too seriously. The whole point is to find a woman you want to spend time with and potentially make a life together …

Thanks for your response to me, as well as starting this thread. Question: was your wife familiar with bondage, edging, etc. before you were married, or were these things entirely introduced to her by you? If I talked about edging with my wife she would think I was talking about the driveway...

I mean, what is the difference, from a sexual satisfaction point of view, between having sex with your wife or having sex with another woman? "Talent" aside, it's the thrill of sin, the lure of the forbidden and the validation that another woman finds you attractive enough to bang. Other than that, the feeling of sex is pretty similar no matter who you're with. I absolutely agree with this. It's purely an ego thing. One problem for me is that the idea of a sexual encounter devoid of love and hol…

Indeed, if you frame any situation such that your wife has to "forgive you" for something, she will never truly forgive you as that would be relinquishing a great deal of power she now holds over you. I know this from experience. Instead we "force" her to forgive (even against her own will) by doing those things you've outlined above.

Thank you. I understand the distinction you are making vis-à-vis competition with other men of the church vs attracting the attention of other women (often the spouses of those same men), but you would have to admit the distinction is a subtle one, no? As someone who is a reluctant adopter of the red-pill philosophy part of me is still disgusted by it. But the "proof is in the pudding" as they say, and my wife's attraction to me has certainly improved since I have implemented some of its princip…

Your perspective is a valid one, but I don't think it would qualify as being "Red-Pilled", and we are writing on Red Pill Christian sub after all. Do you think that a woman, even if she is a Christian and mature in her faith, loses her hypergamous tendencies? That the rules of attraction suddenly change when marriage happens? Personally, I don't buy completely into the Red Pill philosophy, but I did eventually come to the realization that I was putting women on a pedestal, not realizing some of …

I'll take a look when I have some time, but what is his basic argument against SMV?

Thanks for the wisdom brother. Per my above comment, I think by nature my communication with women always has a playful element that could be construed as being flirtatious, though that is not my intent. Frankly, I'm not sure I know of any other way of interacting with them. Perhaps I need to just cut myself off from them for a bit.

Now, if you are inciting temptation in women by gaming them, etc, that's a different story. This is the tricky part for me. I might indeed be guilty of this, though I wouldn't say I'm gaming them intentionally. The thing is, I really don't know any other way to interact with women except by being witty and engaging in a little banter, especially when the woman is an attractive one. Even with the old ladies I'm always on a little bit of a charm offensive. Maybe there is a sinful aspect to this, b…

What, if anything, do you feel you have given up in exchange for the freedom of an open relationship?
/r/askMRP01/06/18 03:56 PM

In one sense yes, but in another it can drive a man crazy, especially if one's moral imperative is to remain faithful. I just hope my T-levels drop as I age to quell the "drive" for strange.

I admire your ability to settle. I say this with 100% genuineness. I wish the temptation of strange would leave me.

So that's what Christ was scribbling in the sand... Is it not clear that the line is drawn when you are lusting after a woman other than your wife? If that means you can't go into the Greek sculpture exhibit at your local art museum while others can in good conscience, then so be it. If you insist on extending that reasoning up to materials that are specifically designed to get your blood rushing, I would say that I have yet to meet the man who actually read Playboy "just for the articles", and …
