3	Uni game discussion Try joining a sports team. You probably have to wait until the start of the semester to do that but it is generally a good way to get a few mates. The key is regular games, playing one off games throughout the semester will not do much in regards to making friends. Also I am guessing there is a pub or bar near by that will do student nights? 1	Attempting solo game in the punk/hardcore scene. Solid advice. I won't get right into the underground scene because I like other, extremely different, types of music as well as punk/hardcore (don't know the difference between the sub-cultures but the scene in re city is small enough that it all falls under the same roof). 3	Show of hands, who has actually gone out and approached solo? Still pretty new in the city I'm in so I have little choice. In addition I got a gig doing club promotion for punk/hardcore nights so I have to attend every week.
