What, does he think you Googling something will lead to you unearthing his banking info? This is a red flag he’s trying to disguise. He’s surely hiding something else.

Okay wow, talk about high value people! I loved watching this. They’re so eloquent and intelligent!

Honestly it sounds like she now looks like how he’s always seen her on the inside and he’s short-circuiting. Or maybe he’s just a true fuckboy and was using her for emotional validation the whole time. Either way it’s happened to me before too and back in my pickme days I let it happen because it was validating. So I’d sleep with them and then lose a friend for a few months and never really get back to how we were beforehand. I’m glad she’s noticing the change and not taking it as a compliment o…

I really believe that if it’s supposed to happen, it will. Don’t force it or “wait” for him. Keep focusing on you and if you’re meant to find your way back to each other, you will.

Yesss get that degree girl. Speak with admissions advisors at the schools you’re interested in about assistantships. Most schools will pay YOU to go there if you’re a good fit, much less cover tuition.

Reason for doing so is if he continues to try to contact you, you can sue and pursue legal action (if you’re in the states, not sure how it is elsewhere) for harassment. ETA: you have to have that explicit “do not contact me again” to be thorough and clear that he’s voluntarily ignoring your request for no contact

I’m assuming you’re talking about straight men specifically. I think the urge to rape is such a broad spectrum psychologically so I don’t think it’s just an incel coping mechanism.

Got you are doing the right thing. Next step is to explicitly tell him not to contact you further in any way. If he does, threaten him with legal action. You owe him zero explanation, just in case no one has told you yet! Great job

I live with one as a roommate and it took me months to realize the reason I was so upset at her pick me ways was because they were a mirror showing me my former self. Forgive yourself for your past pickmeisha ways and you won’t give a damn how any other pickmes behave. Easier said than done, but so worth it. Personally, it helped me level up to be unphased by her behaviors. I still give advice when she asks for it, but I don’t care if she takes it or not. I have established boundaries and it’s j…

OLD has some success stories, but a sure-fire way to meet men is to be where they often are. This can include bars and coffee shops but doesn’t have to. Things like volunteering for male-dominated or at least coed organizations, taking up a sport like golf or an adult coed soccer league, etc.

This has happened to me before with someone way closer to me than a celebrity athlete (not to say he wasn’t important to people he hadn’t met but you know what I mean). My ex’s cousin’s husband was suffering from cancer when the two got married and because of this, my ex wanted to elope with me because basically he was faced with his own mortality. Doesn’t make him the right one for me and certainly doesn’t make it romantic. Just yikes.

While all age gaps should be taken seriously and imply significant life experience differences, the younger the two individuals are the more wary the people around them should be. An 18 year old woman dating a 26 year old man automatically makes me view the man as predatory.

I’m literally in grad school studying Social Media as a degree and I too sometimes have the urge to get rid of it all. However it’s so easy to say SM is toxic when one has trouble with moderation, is negatively impacted by opinions of others, and/or has a hard time with the notion of “if something upsets me, I do have the power to keep scrolling/put my device down”. Just like drinking, indulging in sweets, shopping, or any other vice humans in this society have, we must equip ourselves with boun…

I personally see a spectrum, yeah. I don’t consider dating the ones that are mid-value though. At that point I’d simply be dating for potential and that has literally never worked out for me.

So they’re done with Pickmeishas and prefer to play HVW who will see through them immediately? Sounds boring and half-baked. Typical red pill crap.

Therapy and birth control, friend. The BC will help lower your sex drive so you can focus on moving past an unhealthy relationship with sex (if you believe it is unhealthy, I’m not trying to shame here) with a therapist.

Again, I’m in total agreement. I’m also allergic and can’t be in the same house with a cat for more than an hour without having a major reaction. Some people DO begin to dislike the things that cause their body to negatively react, just saying.

Obvious exception, but I feel like it needs to be said: people with allergies. ETA: I don’t say that as an excuse to be unkind or resent animals, but definitely ask someone why they don’t like certain animals like cats or dogs. They may also have been traumatized by them as kids. Just make sure to ask why before assuming they’re a bad person for avoiding animals.

Love this so much. I lost 35 lbs in 2019, so I will lose 33 more lbs before the end of 2020 to reach my goal weight (slow and steady loss is most sustainable for me). Finish grad school with a 3.8 gpa. 2019 was about reflection and looking inward to figure myself out and improve the things I don’t much care for about myself. I’ve done a ton of self-work and feel confident and happy with who I’m becoming, so now for 2020 I’ll look outwardly for more quality friendships and connections.

Does he have any interests other than work? Any hobbies? Literally is he passionate about anything at all? He sounds either depressed or on the spectrum, or insanely introverted. Idk but my ex was the same way, never expressing anything outwardly even joy or anger. Hell, he never even smiled when he’d see me, or literally anyone for that matter. He’d give an upbeat (to his standards) “hey” and either look away or glance at me then get back to what he was doing. It was exhausting and felt like re…

I’ve tried the ring and a few different low-dose pill packs. Low-dose pills have been working for me (period regularity and zero acne), but I’m fatigued often, have lost all interest in sex/zero sex drive, and my mood swings while PMSing are really intense. I love my regularity and my clear skin, but I’ve considered getting off altogether as well. I’m not even sexually active right now anyway.

I’d ask him to spell out EXACTLY what he thinks a strong woman looks like. In detail. Would love to read it.

For sure. Immediately stopped the (albeit infrequent) pleasantries I was exchanging with my ex’s friends after we broke up. The friends were mostly bigoted assholes who enjoy debating Trump over Facebook comments of each other’s shared articles, and I’m ashamed of having associated with them for so long out of “love” for my ex/hoping everyone would grow up and out of those opinions eventually. Surprise, they haven’t, and I’m better off not knowing them. I don’t need that toxicity in my life.

My roommate is currently "seeing" (aka sleeping and "hanging out" with) a guy who is LV, but it's hard for her to see because he breadcrumbs her and makes her feel good when it's convenient for him. Basically I just ask her questions. She's an open book and is smart enough to know better, but I'm also smart enough to know that I can't change her mindset on him after having already slept with him. So I simply challenge her. For example, I've so far asked, "Does he improve your life in ways other …

I would support this so much more if I knew I wouldn't be risking physical harm. Those men are so fragile despite their "confidence" to hit on us and all it takes sometimes is calling them out this way for them to get aggressive. I do admit that this makes me more seriously consider taking self-defense classes, because I would love to be able to call them out and not be afraid for myself.

This is fair, though I personally feel like I can work with agnostic as it just means a person is questioning or skeptical about faith or the divine, and open to discussing it/probably open to connection. Atheist, however, is definitely a deal-breaker for me.

Your ears need to be cleaned both behind and in the folds. Per ENT doctors, I know not to suggest using q-tips inside the ears for ear wax, but my god PLEASE use a q-tip and clean the build-up in the crevices and behind your ears. I’m not kissing an ear that looks like it’s a storage spot for cheese. If you suffer from producing excessive ear wax, consult a doctor about how to manage it.

Unfortunately it will likely happen, but you need not be afraid if you’re prepared and on the lookout for the tell-tale signs that these guys always give. This sub helped me identify them and I was ready to block and delete as soon as the guys confirmed, which they always did through how they would speak to me. Don’t fear these guys. Pity them if you must, and don’t be afraid to block and move on.

This isn't always true though, right? I've read about men who play the numbers game and literally swipe on every single woman and message the ones they actually find attractive once they've matched.

Absolutely this. I'm also into minimalism, but I do not sacrifice my standards for it! Why is that so hard for the majority of men to figure out as well?

Honestly this is why I deleted the apps. And not even the disgusting bottom comment in OP's convo, but the constant "hi" messages from pretty much every match (as if that's supposed to capture my attention). I obviously vet them based on their profiles, and still get the same low-risk messages. Buh bye, OLD.

It may have been said on this sub before, but the fact that PUA stands for pick up artist and also means "flower" in Hawaiian cracks me up. Underneath the player facade, they're just delicate flowers with easily damaged egos

Say "no thanks" to a hug and definitely expect back-lash, but be firm. It's your body and you do not owe anyone physical contact at all. If you're too nervous to fully deny contact, offer a high-five. Do not offer a side-hug as he will most likely turn to make it a full hug like the one you described.
