Even with most of my assets from inheritance and me still in my 20s I still pay more in taxes in a single quarter than most people will ever accumulate in their adult life. Seems as though with competent preemptive legal measures and being careful enough to keep finances seperate during the marridge these things can be avoided. All bank accounts and names on legal oenership for things purchased such as cars houses etc.. seperate and wills and trusts written to direct next of kin in the blood family.. The vast majority of prenups hold up in court.
