I think this should be stickied. I know some of us want to see a high number of subscribers but personally I'd prefer to keep it to people who are genuinely mgtow and not "I broke up with my girlfriend this morning".

Sure everyone has to start somewhere, but you're not doing yourself a favor by making a hasty decision. This is a lifestyle choice. Are you truly done with women? Great. Welcome. Gonna be the outlier here...

The most important thing this community provides for men who are starting to come around is: 1. The sidebar and 2. the comraderie from all of us

This is an alt acct but I began frequenting after I found this place, and introduced myself with a similar post.

Chances are only half of us will stick here but it's worth it to show empathy to these men still. I've always been public (on first acct) about being open to a relationship if the girl seems truly unique, like 99% percentile of unique

Where I agree is that I don't want MGTOW to become the 'my gf broke up w me' sub.

It was a rational choice, not based on emotion (only, not even mostly), but more based on reasoning, logic and choises. What was more important to me? etc.
I came to the logic conclusion, based on what I want (and don't want) and how to get there. That MGTOW lifestyle gives me that best chance of getting there (and/or sooner getting there).

MGTOW for many years here, even before the name was built. This is a journey and it may happen to fall sometimes but all in all once you are old enough you will get there eventually, there are no half measures, MGTOW or pussy worshipper. I agree with your post but the gender wars are raging on and you will get a lot of wounded people, some will retire and some will just go back because their dicks are stronger than their minds.

I think the MGTOW “definition” is very loose. You have people saying a MGTOW can pump and dump, others saying stay away from women completely, and others still saying just dont get married but keep dating/screwing, and then on the extreme cases actual anti-woman haters. So what definition or actions are we supposed to agree upon as the true definition? A guy living alone in the woods who barely interacts with anyone or the alpha business man going through women like socks?

So a guy who is venting about a bad breakup can still be a MGTOW in the beginning stages and in reality most become that way through bad personal breakups or things like that happening to parents, family, and friends for one to witness.

Sure it can be annoying to see people complain all the time especially if they go back into it right away but that doesnt disqualify them from receiving some redpill truth they might find here or at the very get some options moving forward.

I don't agree with this post. I've been single for 15+ years, zero interest in dating / having kids or getting married. I think woman are beautiful but there is no fucking way in hell I'm doing anything serious with them.

I started following MGTOW when my relationship became increasingly difficult, to the point where I was telling her "Even if I KNEW I would be single for the rest of my life, I won't put up with this any longer."

Sometimes I feel like I want her back, but I consider myself MGTOW in that I came to the above conclusion, and I have no intention or desire to wade through the muck of 'modern dating'. Even if some of us come across MGTOW and then fall for some dumb, sexy, horrible bitch, at least we know that there is another way. Maybe some of us still need a harsher lesson to really understand that our own way is the only safe, sane, healthy way.

I can't say that I agree with your post, if a guy stays for a 1 week, 1 month or 1 year; it doesn't matter as long as he goes his own way, even if that means going back to a relation. I think that as long as you become wiser than your previous self, it was worth it.

People learn from other people's mistakes, I think it's better to have this conversations than to not have them, I for one, would have loved to learned before hand to read the signs of my ex cheating on me prior to it happening, and the shitstorm that followed it.

My 2 cents.

GYOW is putting yourself first. Improving your well being by doing the things you like and not following the conformities the society has places upon you. Since women are and have always been a big part of our lives the decisions we make regarding them will also affect our quality of life.

Given that most women want to drain your resources until they are either bored or feel like "soul searching" it's logical to GO YOUR OWN WAY and stay away from those Sirens.

Don't get me wrong, i like the idea of what women suppose to be, i enjoy the company of a pretty lady and i like fucking them. But remember the rules of the game you're playing. Don't act all surprised when they actually do what's in their nature.

Just don't center your life around them.

Work on your craft. Be you and do the things you like. Let ambition be your fuel and not hatred towards women because hate can only get you so far and defeats the purpose of achieving personal happiness/peace.

True. There a a lot of people trying to make a "MGTOW constitution", or a "holy bible" of MGTOW you have to follow in order to truly earn the title. Like "don't do that or you are no true MGTOW".

But iam glad this post dosen't make this mistake. Its just spot on by explaining that MGTOW isn't about following certain rules - but being MGTOW is simply something different than being frustrated with women.

It may be a part of the red pill rage phase, but the point of MGTOW is, well, going your own way - and being pissed off by women in general (or even worse: a specific woman), is not the independence that MGTOW truly is about.

The MGTOW path is a huge change of the usual (western) lifestyle. It affects so many parts of your life, no man in this world can simply turn on a switch and become MGTOW within days or weeks.

Just like you don't become Japanese because you spend a 2 week vacation in Tokyo.
