I think it lends more to mystery. Every guy out there deals with awkwardness by smiling. When you don't smile you demonstrate mastery over the awkwardness. She begins to subconsciously think, "who is this guy who has so much strength in difficult social situation "

This is the point in which Christianity and MRP part ways --- the purpose of marriage. I agree that many principles of MRP align within the Christian worldview, and there is nothing wrong with leading, taking ownership, and pursuing sex in your marriage. MRP assumes the purpose of marriage is self-fulfillment. So, if the marriage is no longer providing that, you ditch it. Christianity believes there are other purposes to marriage, maybe even more important. Which is why divorce based on lack of …

I know we are generally against counseling here, but that behavior sounds like an extreme coping mechanism. Like, the only way she could get someone's (maybe you) attention before. I don't believe anyone is broken beyond repair, but she will have to want to unlearn these mechanisms. What he is saying is that a woman's emotions are not your enemy. They can be your ally, in fact, once you befriend them. As far as dealing with that behavior, I would suggest slowly backing away from giving her extre…

The opposite of a "Nice Guy" is an "Integrated Male", not a slimy shyster. Morals aside, a real man takes pride in building a business and successful career on a sustainable model. He doesn't need to use underhanded tactics to get ahead, let alone steal.

The thing is, he didn't have the balls to own this, but just dipped his toes into it. "I want kisses, but I also want to save my marriage." It was probably less about the sex and more about validation Yes, the attention from other women was a slipperly slope for me, that I went too far down, too early. It was validation that I hadn't gotten in nearly a decade. I don't know what other reason a married man ends up kissing another woman. I never said it was a good idea, I own that it was a poor dec…

Exactly. This will play out slowly over the next few days. I'm watching her from an emotional distance, with interest in how she chooses to react to this also. I can see through the emotional smoke now, and I see the hysterical bonding train starting to come down the track. I know what it is. I'm taking it one step at a time. We legally separated today, as far as the courts are concerned. We have to be separated for a year before the court will issue a divorce. So what is the rush to throw aroun…

No joy here. But you sound butt-hurt and defensive. Not good. Perhaps. It has been a rough morning. again defining yourself in her terms, stop it. I may have phrased this poorly. If the marriage is over for me, it is not because she says it. I was just pointing out that my failures before, and during my journey here aren't the sole reason for the demise of the marriage. I meant to say that even she has admitted that it has been peering over the edge for some time. My actions may have finally pus…

I cannot control what she does. If she wants to end it, then I cannot stop her. She is finally taking some responsibility for herself and her decisions. My approach and decision will not be defined by her perceived options for herself. I will decide what I want, and proceed with that course of action. A relationship is a two-way street, however, and if I decide I want to stay in the marriage and make an effort to re-connect, then she will have to decide the same also. But, I cannot make that dec…

This is good advice and what I have been thinking about. On the one hand, I want a divorce. I'm not sure I can un-see the years of rejection I have endured. I have generally STFU through this for the past 48 hours, but she is still trying to control the situation. Last night she said she feels like she has 4 options --- Separate Divorce immediately (from what I can tell, we have to live separate for at least a year before divorce is granted. Maybe she will seek on grounds of infidelity, which I …

In reality, all he did was give her ammo to continue to fuck his frameless ass To continue to try. I'm not saying I'm walking through this difficult situation perfectly, but I'm certainly not bending over and taking it like I have in the past. You guys say that your here to fix the man. I know that early on you offer a beating to weed out who is willing to stick around and work to adopt the praxeology. At this point, I would appreciate your advice and help with direction.

Is that what any flaired user would've done? Prarrott has done a great job of going Rambo and setting himself up to be totally ass fucked because he decided to be a lazy ass and abdicate responsiblity. Spot on as usual. Do you want this marriage? (a lot of MERP's have asked you the same question.) With each passing hour I lean towards no. I still love the idea of being in a happy marriage with the mother of my children, and cruising along in life on the track we have laid out. But with each passing hour as I assess my circumstances and her brief interactions with me, I think this is untenable. I have my faults, to be sure, and I think I have owned them here, in the open. But, you have her pegg…

Its not quite hindsight yet. Lets see how this plays out over the next few weeks/months and I can answer that question better. Right now Im inclined to say it was because it gave me the confidence to end (and the circumstances to end) a marriage that was likely doomed, and has been for many years.

Here's an idea --- go approach real women in real life in the places they gather. If you are an in shape 56 year old mid-40's women will swoon for you. Hell, 30 year olds may. Most single 56 year old men are a mess. I was recently in a city for work and there is a music venue by my hotel that was having some type of DJ night. I was looking for somewhere to bump into some women, so I peeked in the window. It was clearly the hot, 40-something, single gathering spot. But most all of the men looked …

This is exactly how it is playing out. We have not said much to each other but I did mention that I could count on one hand the times she has kissed me in the last 8 years. As an update, she locked me out of the bedroom last night, and has told me to leave the house this morning. I told her I am not leaving my house. She tells me she has no other choice but to take the kids and leave. Another of my fears is dealing with this type of stuff. She is not the type to work it out amicably for the sake of the children and her own financial benefit. She will fight me to the death just to punish me. She has done this for years on a smaller level, and I have always feared it…

The sister is here as a shoulder to cry on. She came in through the side door. At this point, if we divorce, I will never see these ppl again really (FIL, etc) so why DEER? It is easiest for everyone invilved if I just essentially say "yes, I did that." And leave it there. Problem still remains of what do I want. I truly hope your journey has led you to face all fears Of this there is no doubt. My greatest fears were divorce and its impact on my children and social ostracization. I am facing both. Because I grew up, stopped cowering before my wife, and sought fulfillment elsewhere when she denied it of me. I will face my fears and the consequences of my actions. And I will live to tell the story.

Which is it ? The answer is .. man. Its just a new look for me still. To what do you give credit fir the need to Rambo your journey ? Time will tell, but I'd have to say the better part of 8 years of a sex-starved, affection-less marriage. When I started to become a man, and other women noticed, well ... that escalated quickly

By interacting differently I mean I gave her attention. I touched her and kissed her. I made sure we went to bed at the same time. I sent her a nice text. I had been withdrawn, but I re-engaged her. But, after two hard-NO's and her actually telling me not to touch her, and actually changing nothing on her end, I shrugged my shoulders and dis-engaged again. I did not want to continue to reward that behavior.

But here's the thing--she can't fix anything if she doesn't know what the real problems are. I mean, I believe I've made it clear to her what I expect in the marriage. It just seems the problem is she points the finger back at me. Tells me Im not capable of meeting her needs emotionally. She said after we had sex last week she did not think it would change anything in me. I consciously interacted differently with her, but she told me last night she thought I did not act different at all. Its not…

As some time has passed the victim mentality has washed away and DNGAF has replaced it. I'm not ready for a main event, so I'm not going to go there. Just going to go about my life, seek to become strong and enjoy what I can, and let her deal with whatever is in her mind.

You know its funny, I was ready to puke my guts to her earlier when I was in a confused vulnerable moment. I just wanted to diffuse the situation. It was weakness. But, she wouldnt let me. Called me a liar, wont believe anything I say so why waste her time. She said she wanted me to live with my guilty conscience. However, what she allowed me to do was calm down and collect my thoughts. Be reminded of where I am, and what I have to fear (not much). You still are confusing "improving the relation…

What is the worst thing that can happen, that is not already happening? I know, I ask myself this. And the other answer is --- I dont know but I have a feeling she'll find a few ways to try

The only thing you have to lose is your frantic grip on a false reality. Everything you wrote is spot on, except this. I am mot afraid of losing her, at all. But I'm afraid of losing my kids and I'm afraid of what they lose in divorce. They love thier family. But I was aware of this risk when I made questionable decisions so I must accept the consequences whatever they may be.

Mine will be: 3) wife finds out and stays in the marriage but ices the man out completely. Attempts to sabotage his life when she can. I really doubt it will be either of the two you wrote. I dont think she has the guts to leave, and she certainly doesn't respect me in any way.

I don't believe its my right to have my needs met elsewhere, and really I haven't been fucking anyone else. Yes, I understand its covert contract-y, but I was thinking of it more along the lines of an indication of where she's at. You say youre going going to make an effort, but you cant find the interest and investment to engage sexually on Father's Day when you know I want it? Just a telling sign that she does not give a shit (listen to what she does, not what she says), which is disappointing.

"Welcome to my frame." Don't care, had sex. I kid, but if her frame has sex like that in it, I'm not opposed to dip in every once and a while. I really dont think it was much of that, though, because of how she broke down after. I think it was her way of hamstering an initiation, and she was happy I took charge

Edit: she might be taking some credit for your success I cant control what she does. I know its one foot in front of the other, slowly. But it feels nice to break through every once in a while. I can't be afraid to mess up and overdue it (go beta) like I have in the past. It needs to be different this tim. This is just new territory that is uncharted for me to move forward in.

Exactly. I didn't want her to come because I wanted some special time just daddy and the kids, out of the house. She is around them all day now in the summer. But, I can't control her, so I tried to make the best of it. Like /u/FireTempered said, I failed to create an enforceable boundary. I am still learning about these, I have been terrible at boundaries my whole life. But thanks to you and him, I am figuring it out. That was a small failure I will learn from.

As the rest of the night played out, I don't think you realize how spot-on this is. I don't even know how to sum up the rest of the night after I wrote this, but I'll do my best to provide the short version. As I head to the shower I say to her, "Did you have fun at the park?" with a smirk. It starts a conversation between us where she DEERs about her behavior, and the only actionable point is that I didn't give her advance notice, and she didn't like that. Noted, I'll let her know in advance ne…

Your points are appreciated, taken, and heeded. It is my goal, and I am pursuing it. At the risk of DEER'ing, I am generally very involved day in and day out, but just do to my schedule and my children's school schedule, it has been a while since we did one of these "adventures" on a weeknight after I get home from work. I spend time with them at the house, and we do things as a family, so its not like this is the only time I spend with them. This is just another tool in the bag of fatherhood, a…

Well it was PMS and then shark week, just ending in a day or two. So, no, I haven't. But as I mentioned above we are not even talking to each other or touching each other. Initiating sex feels a little ridiculous. You may say --- "well talk to her and touch her". To which my reply is, that is what I did for about 8 years before the red pill to no reciprocation, and for the past 2 months (6 mos into red pill) with no reciprocation. I'm pretty tired of being the only one to make any smidge of effo…

Well as you pointed out she holds grudges. Though she seems to forget her positive moods fairly quickly in favor of a critical mood, she often remembers days/weeks later "Remember, I don't want to have sex with you." in a way that harkens back to some previous time. Its just excuses on her part. We are not touching each other, or even talking to each other really. Its completely gone off a cliff. Since I stopped propping it up with my effort at spending time and engaging her, there is none now. …

Agree. Just work on small conversations in coffee shops and in line at the grocery store. Maybe just 2 or 3 sentences. Focus on thinking "I am calmer than she is." In Day Bang Roosh talks about the one who is least nervous has the upper hand. Focus in these small interactions as being the one who is least nervous and the most calm. Once talking to strangers for a moment becomes the same as talking to your buddy at the backyard BBQ, then push the conversation with the stranger just a bit past tha…

Sadly, no. She has not been able to maintain any meaningful, intimate longterm friendships with anyone. Except her mother and sister (who I believe talk about her behind her back). I'm in the middle of that book too. I've liked a lot of what he says about women (testing, etc), but I have not cared for much else. I like the idea of "living at your edge" in that it is another way of looking at "give life your all", that adds a little more dimension and provides motivation against complacency. But, some of the practical advice (like what you've excerpted above) seems over-simplified. Making a decision like the one facing you is quite complicated and there's - you know, lotta …

I would not advise keto diet for beginners. Ive made tremendous progress with carbs. When you are just trying to get your life together a keto diet can be a bit of an undertaking. I see what your getting at, but its a covert contract. "I become a man women want to fuck, and my wife will respond to me the way I want" I know this because I know as a fact I am a man that other women have openly expressed wanting to fuck, and my wife is not responding to me the way I want. My journey to become this man was based on the covert contract above, and as it became a reality I was angry and bitter inside (and sometimes externally) at my wife.

Your thread title describes exactly the way I felt multiple times in my journey. Maybe I did take actual steps back at the time, who really know. The thing about confidence and motivation -- they are fickle. You don't wait for motivation, you just DO. When you are feeling down, you just DO. Do what needs to be done, and when you've accomplished that do some things you enjoy. Confidence is fickle. You do not rest in it to accomplish your mission. You accomplish your mission regardless.

Look, lift your chin up. Many come here with a big ego, you may err on the other end. You have the code to the matrix now, and you are no longer a victim. Your life internally (and many ways externally) will be what you make it. You will fail, but the joy is in the journey. One foot in front of the other, with your head up. +1 for response. I forgot to add to the list to fight the mental fight to do the things on the list for yourself, not for a response from her. You can do things for her, but you do them in and of themselves, not as a mechanism to generate a response from her. And it helped me to think as outlined above -- do them because they need to be done. Lift and diet properly. Get your physical life in order, it is the prelude to being able to accomplish the mental and emotional aspects, and it will give you an outlet as you reorder yourself mentally and emotionally. Be above reproach around the house. Take care of your shit, clean up after yourself, give her (and yourself) nothing to complain about. STFU. It is. Its about how I've changed in as little as a few months, and did everything different than I've done my whole life. It will be interesting to see if this principle ends up playing out with my wife. In my OYS I mentioned that I am not pursuing divorce, but due to a choice on my part I am essentially withdrawing from her completely. I can do this mentally, for sure. The problem begins to present itself logistically - we'll say. For instance, tonight I want to go out with a few friends. She never goes out with friends. She gets upset that I go out, because she feels it burdens her at home. Even though I almost always leave after the kids have gone to bed. Basically it just pisses her off because I am going to do something, and I don't care what she thinks. Over time though, she begins to threaten me that I cannot do this. Sh…

I played the abstinence game. Gets you nowhere you want to be, in and of itself. I agree with the Christian principles behind it though. Here's the thing, the sex you want to experience together in marriage isnt going to come from her submitting to yiu because God calls her to. It will come because she is attracted to you and wants to sex. The sex yiur marriage needs is sex she wants to be a part of, not sex she dutifully puts up with to obey God. I'm not saying dont agree to the abstinence or d…

As I said above, you need to create an undercurrent of sexual energy that permeates your relationship. This is the precursor to regular sex. Hard to create this if you never spend time with your wife - gaming, teasing, giving her dem good feelz, kissing

It sounds like generally you have the approach down. But, as stoney says, these aint parlor tricks. This is a small tactic in the larger war of becoming a fun, attractive, assertive MAN who creates an undercurrent of sexual desire in his relationship.

How about using no words, and NOT hoping she finally figures it out. Instead, hoping you finally get a life together enough (mentally and externally) to where it does not matter what she does. This is not a game you play with her. Its a step you take for yourself.

Alot of talk about her here. If your enthusiasm and participation in the marriage rises and falls with her behavior (and how it makes you feel), then you have a rocky road still ahead. This sub is not for stories about how your wife got fixed, its for stories about how YOU got fixed

You are right, I am not afraid of the consequences with her of decision either way. However, a good captain considers the wants and needs of his first mate (regardless of her actions/feeling toward him), so I want to make a fair and right decision, carefully considered. Whether she is a cunt or doesnt put out should not affect the concrete decisions I make regarding her, and our life, right?

Don't mate guard. Be attractive. Become someone she will think twice about losing. Smile when she leaves, smile when she comes home. She will smell the jealousy and worry on you a mile away, and it will provoke her to cheat more than it will prevent it. So you better lose the worry (abundance mentality, NGAF, have an awesome life).

FRAME I got into it with my wife last night. She made some hyperbolic comments about my character and my actions, and I let it get to me. The blue pill is still strong with this one. If you want to maximize her response, then dedicate the time & energy to making that happen. This is where we're stuck. I fell like I'm giving her proper opportunity to come aboard and have a happy intimate marriage, after smothering her a bit early on. But, she needs to respond. Some bit is on her. I don't know what more time and energy I need to dedicate to her at this point.

Well because I married her. She's still my wife because my children, financially I'm in deep, and I'm very young in my MRP journey so she gets plenty of time to respond. She had to deal with a shit version of me for plenty of time.

That's what I read from the response too. However, when we talk about leadership not being authoritarian, or dominance vs. domineering, it seems like it would apply to this situation. Since she is the one going to help, its her decision whether she wants to bring the kids. What do I want? Though I think the tools you've pointed out are crucial, if OP uses them now they are more akin to parlor tricks to aid his covert contract. I would think some type of refrain from the duty sex would be needed both to clear your mind, and maybe to shake things up in the wife's mind. But, as you know, if you do anything with a response from her as the ultimate goal in mind, its only a matter of time before either she sniffs it out, or you make it clear in some way.

Its a mindset, first and foremost. Start with a positive attitude when you are around them. Think of them positively. Smile. Develop an "inner game" that doesn't have room for negativity, frustration, and performance-based affection. Internalize that life is short, and sweet, and its what you make of it. So make it fun. Once you change yourself internally first, then the actions and concrete advice from abdada will flow more naturally.

Maybe this goes without saying, but she'll need to have a strong desire to be your "girl" or this will just sound foolish. For those whose wives have little respect or desire for them, AA is probably best. Ultimately you can't control her, or even influence her, if she doesn't desire you. I like it. It has a small FR element at the end, "This is what has helped me". All the concepts we discuss are a bit esoteric, and images and metaphors that ground them are generally helpful.

If you didn't outwardly express your discontent with her reaction, I dont think you failed any test. If you would have set some weak, unenforceable boundry, or made some snide comment acknowledging her disrespect-- then you would have failed. If this was even a test. Kind of just sounds like an AWALT wife moment. Who cares how she responds? Your reaction internally is what should be of most concern to you. If this little interaction can get your hamster spinning that wildly, then you are still s…

You (and others) have been particularly helpful in me putting some brass tacks on the concepts of expectations and boundries. Even boundries with myself. Please keep tracking with my story because I think there will come a time when I verbally express some expectations and boundries (again, but I've only done it poorly before). A main event of sorts, but without the express intent of divorce as the alternative. Maybe it can be done effectively. We'll see. But I'll want some concrete advice ancho…

On the question of me pulling the trigger to fuck another woman --- let me answer here to all of you. I'll just let it out that I'm a committed Christian. I'm struggling to reconcile all of this to my worldview, to be sure. But, I know very clearly that having a true sexual experience with another woman is wrong. Thats reason number one I am avoiding it. The second is that I believe if I cross that line it marks the true beginning of the end. And I'm just not there yet, and I frankly dont ever w…

This hits right at the heart of my miscongruence. Thank you. First, the old posts you reference are a stark reminder of what a faggot I've been just recently. Even more reason not to necessarily be discouraged, or threatened to pull the plug, because of my wife's lack of response I'm not reading that you are actually changing in her eyes. Do you 10 second kiss her and pull away first? Do you kino her? Does she defer to you as captain on issues and if so, on what? When you initiate...do you feel …

I would say yes, but it was short lived. We got married after dating 11 months. It started going downhill just before the wedding. But through the dating and engagement we were pretty hot and heavy. I remember in pre-marital counselling we were asked to write on a piece of paper how often we expected to have sex and she wrote 5-6x week But that was truly so long ago, and I've been a beta my whole life. I was even beta when things were good. Thank you for the encouragement.

As you know, kids are a lot of work and put a good deal of stress on your marriage. She is not on your team if she is demanding another child irregardless of your feelings. This is just a symptom of her general lack of respect for you, and can likely be reframed over time. I would advise against having a child into a contentious, disrespectful relationship. I can say I relate to this concern somewhat. Not that it is hindering my sexual performance at all, but maybe my game with my wife. A great example of the oak and rock discipline that is a foundation here. She is going to storm from time to time, because she is subject to her feelz. This is good. I'm going to chew on this all afternoon. I believe I'm doing much better than I was 30 days ago, but I really didnt want to face an issue like this yet. Letting her buy new couches, despite the fact we just incurred an unexpected expense in private school seemed like a supplicating beta move I've built my 8 years of shitty marriage making. Here's the flipside, your thoughts on this: she's hinted that if she doesnt buy the couches then I cant go anywhere. "Im not going to stay home and watch the kids to support your social life". For instance, I had planned to go to a concert this weekend, after I put the kids to bed. She says, if I cant have the couches, you cant go (ticket is free, but lets even say it was $20). I'm inclined to just fucking go anyways. Nothing seems more beta than staying home under those circumstances

I think I'm ready, captain. What do I have to lose. My situation is fucked beyond recognition anyways. Good stuff PV. I gaven't set the boundry yet verbally, because I wasnt sure what I wanted it to be. I did say "if you disregard what I'm saying and buy them anyway, there will be consequences." Kind of weak, but so be it. If I decide that cut her off from free access to the checking account is the proper punishment for breaking the boundry, I most certainly plan to follow through with that. I'm not a troll I'm really trying to change. If you dont know how difficult it is after a long day at work to deal with a 4month old that must be held, while feeding and bathing a 3 and 5 year old, I cant help. Just so your bitchy wife can run off to do something she had all day to do, including the time you already took the kids earlier that evening. But I know I am failing but I feel completely powerless to stop it.

This is where I'm lost. I do take care of everything that needs to be done. Just not the supplicating request from her to do more than usual so she can run off and do something she wants, with last second notice. It feels like a damned either way. If I do it no questions, I'm a supplicating beta.

No, my wife doesnt look up to me at all. But, I fear it is because I have been a supplicating pushover for all these years. That's an interesting thought. How could I have handled it to produce the latter. She was being uber-bitchy from the get-go and I was calm and (I thought) assertive. Part of the point of fogging, per the book, is to actually hear the criticism (because you have to be able to acknowledge some truth in it). Though its used this way in the rhetoric on here, I dont believe fogging is a way to dodge your faults. Instead its a way to truly hear the criticism, without being manipulated or crushed by it. Then you can internalize the criticism later as needed and evaluate.

The problem I get when I start going down this road is that the resulting shit/comfort test from my wife are complicated. When I go to initiate: "I don't feel close to you" "How can you expect us to be intimate when you have just been living your life like I'm not around" When I go down this sort-of independent road I need to do better at looping her in emotionally and physically throughout the day/week, I suppose.

Agreed. My wife and I have seen 6 marriage counselors in our 9 year marriage, and not one of them did a fucking thing. MRP, sidebar, etc is in the process of fixing me, and erego my marriage (now not so surprisingly), WAY better than any of the counseling we did. Oh how ai wish I had that money back.

Checking in via text all the time when you are apart may be the type of marriage you want, but its not one where you are attractive to her. You need to do some introspection as to why you want this as a part of your marriage. If you are worried about her actions or fidelity , so be it. You cant control her. If she's going to cheat or make poor decisions its not like shes going to include this in her hour by hour text update to you "Just got home from drankin' wit muh girlz!! Made a few poor deci…

Thanks for the input and encouragement. I am on my way, and of course, wanted it to happen quicker than it will. Patience. Put in the work on myself, the only thing I can control.

Recompositioning your body is difficult, especially as you age. It sounds like your time in the gym was characterized by a lot of "fuckarounditis" as Martin Berkhan puts it. There are plans and approaches that will give you results in the gym, and with your body, if you adhere to them. And if you aren't recieving positive response from women as a result, your simply not "wearing" it with any confidence.

I'm new and a bit of a talker too. Reading your tirades reminds me why I shouldn't be talking. Woman just don't want, or need, to know whats really going on. I'm preaching to myself here, but talk way less. Smile and nod. When you calls you freaking out you say "I'm busy with X, I'm not going to talk about this right now. We'll talk when I get home tonight." Her: "No! We'll talk about this now rabble rabble!" "No, we'll talk about this later, when I get home. Thanks" When you get home pull her a…

I must be misunderstanding what negotiation is, because I didnt seem to me that I negotiated anything with her. I just told her what I want and expect from our relationship in that arena. It had not been said anytime recently, if ever. All the sudden I'm initiating from time to time, something I really hadnt done in years. I wasn't expecting this to illicit desire. She responded as she did, and thought I know its all about me (it always is), I just wanted some feedback on the response. So its he…

My first ever OYS here: 8 weeks in, with a 10 week old (3rd child) in the house. Diet and Lifting: A I am in the best shape of my life at 33. Just got off a small cut while rehabbing an injury. Reverse dieting this week, then starting a slow bulk through Jan. Excited about this as I have mostly been dieting this whole year (down 18 lbs, with serious beginner gainz). Frame: B For this week at least. Generally have made all decisions and wife is gettingon board with me at the lead. She still asks …

Agreed. I've gotten nothing but gut punches since I've showed here, but I'm starting to be able to at least see them coming. Lately, I've frankly been asking for them because I'm ready to learn how to get stronger.

I really appreciate all these comments. Sometimes, you can't really see things for what they are ("from 30,000 ft"), because they are happenning to you. You guys are absolutely right, this is emotional validation seeking. The BP me has lived off this for his whole life. I haven't been able to indulge in this with a girl in a long time, most likely because I didn't have the tools or confidence to exact it. Along comes this little girl and all my BP emotional fires are raging again. But, I couldn'…

You're on your way man. It doesn't happen overnight. I'm in the middle of it myself. I'd say be a little careful with your last paragraph at this point. In order to learn DGAF sometimes you have to think of her as just some woman, albiet the one you chose at this point. She's not your snowflake. There are plenty others out there, in theory only now, that would make a great wife for you also.

I have embraced TRP in many ways, of course I only post here about my confusing episodes, and the gaps in my thinking. But, this whole 'turn down my wife when she offers me a blowjob for the first time in years (under any circumstance) because she wants me wear a sweater in return for it' bit is coming on a little slower.
/r/askMRP26/10/16 05:14 PM

So let me get this straight: When she asks me to do something, I'm supposed to playfully respond by sexualizing, correct? But then if she playfully accepts that, I'm supposed to turn her down? Or was it the coming here and sharing I was happy she offered a blowjob (albiet in return for some pointless bullshit I was doing anyways, because I sexualized her request)? From what I can gather, how I should percieve this all comes down to if she follows through, and what its like. If she doesn't or com…

I guess I was kind of replying to the group there, as most all the comments thus far had been negative regarding my wife offering to blow me for the time in ages. But really, its kind of why I come here. This place will bring you back down to reality, that's for sure
/r/askMRP26/10/16 03:12 AM

I've negotiated sex with her in the past, this was much different. I almost read this as a sort of ASD for her. If she just goes and starts blowing me we'll all know she's lost her control of the relationship, which she is still fighting not to give up. Maybe she kind of wants to blow me (already a confusing thought for her I'm sure) and she knows she can probably get something for it so she will try. Not something that's going to last, but could be a decent start? Besides, everything she asked …

We grew apart the moment you closed the door behind you to the hotel room. I'm just not there yet. Forgive me for accepting some positive, albeit not perfect, sexual progress.

Its a work in progress. And I'll take bj's along the way. Are you suggesting I just ignore her when she offers the favor? Things are tricky between us, and though I am getting my frame back, any sudden movements have bad consequences. I don't guess ignoring her sexual response would have moved things in the right direction.

Of course I'm for real. I don't have time to come to internet forums for married men to spill nonsense.

It really does boilmdown to this. I don't know hownto ngaf with the wife. I'm all invested in her, and she knows. I truly could care less (on the meta level) what happened with the strange, and she could smell that too. Its truly a pickle for me right now
/r/askMRP25/10/16 12:58 AM

This is a good reminder. I can fake it with the strange, but how much of me is truly changed. If I want to have sex, outside of fucking other women, how do I truly NGAF with my wife? I'm just having trouble arriving because I do want to fuck, and my wife is the only one I'm choosing to do it with

I do have friends, but I don't feel comfortable sharing with them that I made out with some strange. Your second question is the great mystery. I'm having a real hard time translating this. Maybe some of it is because the other women respond positively right away and I feed off it. I just cant seem to get this momentum with her.

Hell yes it has. I completely take care of the other 2, except when she randomly decides she is going to do something in my place. Though I'm absolutely tired of being completely disrespected regularly, at the advice of the group I'll back off. I have improved tremendously in every other area, but I continue to get pushed away and disrespected regularly. She is livid with me currently, and blames everything that went wrong in that interaction squarely on me (despite physically engaging me). Do I…

Actual answer : I was with the kids in the other room. She started thier supper early, before I had a chance to. Not sure why. I came into the kitchen to make thier supper, like normal and thats where this began. Its easy to say I'm a pussy, can you say exactly why? Its hard to learn when you ask for advice and the response is "stop being such a pussy" And how should have I responded to my wife's barked orders? Go acquiesce to them, tail between my legs (like I have done for 8 years?)

Appreciate the reminder. At the risk of DEERing, fist of all she's not sleep deprived at all. Baby has been very easy and is sleeping through the night, plus she naps in the afternoon. I am generally more patient and giving her a lot of room, but it just keeps coming to the ninth degree with her. Most of the time I have just been ignoring it. She has talked to me this way for 8 years. I am more than willing to help (She is a STHM and I've stepped up my involvement generously), but she eventually…

Your point is overall well recieved. But I used broken record throughout the conversation, telling her I wanted more sex. So I did tell her what I wanted.

Ok, I'm in. Regarding the sex, do I just begin to initiate at random? Start rubbing her back, then kissing, etc. ? Right now our schedule is pretty set, and sex is not a part of it. I have always "talked about it" before, but that was bullshit that got me nowhere, obviously. I only had this coversation to use the WISNIFG techniques to actually find out what I was up against regarding the mountain of sexlessness.

Thank you guys for all the good words. Its just difficult because I've been in a BP low sex marriage for years, I stumble here and it all makes tremendous sense, and I'm ready to put it in action right away. Oh wait, I just left the hospital with a baby. No big deal, press on, initiate, AM, etc. I'm sure some of her response is due to breastfeeding, but I'm sure some of it is she is still so strongly conditioned to be annoyed by/unattracted to me and disinterested in sex with me. I'm so ready to…

How should I better have drawn that line? How do I continue in it? The suggestion had to do with a method of feeding the child. The details weren't important to the thrust of the question and story here.

I appreciate your response, because it was the track I was on. I was just acting fun and like I DGAF. "Come here momma, gimme a hug" wry smile. Youre cute when your angry is good though. I told her to talk about it because I am just trying to get her past it. She said she didnt want to so I told her maybe she should and she'll feel better. Still didn't want to, so "okie dokie" and on to something else. Was this too beta? How do I get her to get over it with a strong frame?
