Thanks! I'm 5'10" and am in reasonable shape. I have good shoulder, chest and arm definition but don't have a six pack as although I workout a lot, I also drink heaps of beer! I was dressed in nice slim fit navy blue jeans, a white shirt, brown chelsea boots and a blue sports coat.

It was seven minute for each 'date' so I didn't really have to use any other questions - I mainly focused on asking the women follow up questions. I avoided using questions like "what do you do for a living? ", "do you have kids?", etc as I wanted to stand out from the other guys as I knew they would be asking those sort of boring questions.

It's an excellent opportunity to practice openers etc. I'd highly recommend it to guy's who struggle to approach women.

The first question I asked when siting down at the speed dating tables was "If COVID disappeared overnight and you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go?". The women spoke for 80% of the time and I just listened and asked follow up questions like "why did you like that place so much?". I didn't have to use any other questions as typically you will find that most people over 40 have travelled a fair bit.

Very cool, but I'm wondering if the girl that is most attracted to you would be the first to say "which one?". What happens in that case if it's not the girl who you are interested in? You'd need a solid comeback line otherwise this entire approach would fall apart (but massive points for trying!)

As harsh as this may sound, she is only reaching out to you for security and validation. Don't take the bait! Wish her all the best and then move on.

Probably because most guy's don't realise it's happening and think they will eventually win her over by being a nice guy with romantic guestures.

Here's my no.1 tip for meeting guys in bars... If there are a bunch of guys at a standing table and you like the look of one or more of them, find a gap in the table, go over to that space with a girlfriend and ask if you can put your drinks down. 99 times out of 100 the guys will say yes and they will start chatting to you. The logic behind this is that when I go out with a group of my friends we eventually get bored of just hanging out with the guys so when women join our table it's quite exci…

100% agree! As much as it hurts, you have to walk away and don't look back. Focus on yourself and self-improvement which helps to take your focus away from her.

Great advice! Just because a woman decides to put you in the friend zone doesn't mean you have to accept it!

Sounds like she likes you but is not that attracted to you. Women need time for an attraction to build. If you really like her then play it cool, don't be needy, focus on other things in your life and then message/catch up with her every other week as friends. After seeing her a few more times then simply ask if her attraction to you has changed and her answer might surprise you. If it hasn't then I wouldn't invest any more time with her and simply say you can't continue to be friends as its rom…

Just say "We should exchange numbers", then message her the next day and say something like "It was great to meet you, have a great week".

Great post! It reminds me of a sales quote: "If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate." Also, another relevant quote I like: "If you don't ask, the answer will always be no."

This is excellent advice!!! I'm single and in my 40's which can be difficult at times to say the least. I'm average looking but I've followed advice that many post in this sub and it works. Focus on your health, fitness, clothing and grooming - try and be the best version of yourself! That's what I have done and the result is confidence! Woman are attracted to a man with confidence and that comes from feeling good about yourself. Work on that first and then start approaching girls and you will b…
