People like that who like to give their unwanted opinions on your appearance clearly were judged so much what they looked like in their childhood and teenage years. I would have been like “men don’t like women who stink of booze” and she’d be like “huh” then chuck your drink at her.

Maybe this is about something to do with your childhood - usually the things that happen (no matter how big or small) when we’re a child or a teen can affect us subconsciously in adult life (assuming you’re over 18 now). Could be a self esteem issue like someone else suggested. Could be that you’re punishing yourself for something so you pull away from these women. Or they just genuinely don’t tickle your fancy.
