Got it. At mediation my attorney and the mediator said to just use venmo since its instant, free, you can get monthly statements, and you can put a memo/note so it proves what it was for. My SA just says per monthly rate and has nothing to do with how I am paid. I'm guessing the easiest method is to confirm with Ex venmo, then use venmo probably. Got it, I still don't think this applies in my situation however since this is alimony/spousal support and not child support. Does that exist for alimony/spousal support and if so in North Carolina? Thanks!

If possible, I would have your employer take a proportionate amount of of each check, and direct deposit that to your ex spouse. She'll have a very hard claiming she didn't receive that when she actually did and you have your company's accounting department to back you up if challenged. I am not sure this will work since I'm paid bi-weekly and the alimony is a monthly payment. This is what scares me about leaving it to the bank's bill pay, if there is no memo, then she could claim it was for something else like I just decided to start giving gifts of precisely the alimony payment at exactly the time an alimony payment would be expected.
