Never go alone that is lame. I have to strongly disagree. I think it's way lamer to have to have friends out with you in order to have a good time. IMO, that's real needy behavior. Have fun for yourself.

Don't get me wrong; be critical of the things you need to improve on. But if you're being so hard on yourself that you psyche yourself out and you end up doing nothing, then maybe you need to take a step back and reevaluate things, and break things into smaller, less intimidating tasks.

Yeah, I'd even say you shouldn't even have to worry about approaching everyday. It's like if you went to the gym and pushed yourself really hard everyday, you're going to end up wearing yourself out.

Exactly, but you have to start somewhere.

How is this cheating? These exercises are designed to gradually get you over AA. You're not trying to do anything too extreme at the moment. That's the whole point.

Tell me about it, man. A field report of mine was downvoted as well. I have no idea what goes on in the minds of some people on here. And yeah, this was a great post!

For a guy who doesn't follow them and thinks what Julien does is bullshit, you sure defend them a lot. But whatever. Maybe I should give them another look. Maybe the media has blown him up. I guess I'll just have to see for myself.

That's fine and good, but he still has stuffed girl's heads in his crotch. Explain that?

Did you even read my second sentence? There are better resources that people endorse on here. Guys like this should be obsolete to all but the most amoral asshole.
/r/seduction10/01/16 07:49 PM

So, the only way to get women is to act like a dickhead? There are better endorsements on here like Mark Manson that don't involve assaulting women.

I don't care if it works. The dude is a creep and I don't think anyone is doing themselves any favors by continuing to support his behavior.

He sexually assaulted women in Japan. He did things like yell "Pikachu" and force women's heads into his crotch. Unfortunately, it seems like the original video was taken down, so here's the best thing I could find that sums it up quickly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jJBAKcU0KI

I'm not even sure if I'd say it is good. It seems kind of all over the place.

But how do you feel about the Julien Blanc thing? Are you completely comfortable learning from a company that continues to employ someone like him? Maybe those people "that aren't cool with you learning how to better yourself" have morals and don't want to associate with people that give people like Julien a mouthpiece.
/r/seduction10/01/16 04:36 PM

Tyler also seems a little arrogant and like he looks down on his students. He also said something like "people that get into this can never be normal" and did some mocking twitching gesture (I have to find the video). Something like that seems like it would cause more harm than good. Edit: This is the video and part in question: https://youtu.be/GGp25fn25Cs?t=12m40s So, so cringey.

Don't you get worried about your friends, family, or any girls you're with finding out that you're learning from RSD? The Julien Blanc incident was pretty big in the news when it happened and he was banned from many countries. This says a lot about how his behavior is unacceptable almost anywhere despite cultural differences. And before anyone says that they were all politically correct countries, he was also banned in Japan and South Korea, two countries that cannot be any further from being PC…

Don't sweat it. The way some of these guys jerk about online dating being the devil is ridiculous. Getting a date/sex is still just that. Who gives a shit how it came about.
/r/seduction10/01/16 07:25 AM
2

I agree. I'm not even sure if I'm being completely fair to RSD as a whole, but Julien is a sleazy douchebag, full stop. There are so much better resources out there than his.

He's an asshole that sexually assaults women. Remember the whole "Pikachu" incident in Japan last year?

I think we should be distancing ourselves from this ass hat. Edit: Decided to look at the video. I couldn't even last 10 seconds watching it. He's such a cringey douchebag.

Same here, man. I was relying solely on online dating and I would usually just go to the bar and sit at the bar. However, New Years Eve, I decided I was just going to have fun and dance. 7-8 girls danced with me (note that I wasn't approaching anyone and they came up to me) and I got 2 kisses (one on the neck, and one that was a full on make out). My results with online dating weren't too bad (in terms of getting dates), but a lot of the girls weren't very attractive or interesting to me. By jus…

Yeah, that's the thing! If you're on the dance floor just to dance with girls, you're probably going to have a bad time. Human beings have been dancing since the dawn of time. It's a natural behavior. Who gives a shit what people think. Get out there!

Not to sound rude, but did you respond to the right thread? Seems like this comment was meant for someone else. :)

Well, what did you do then? Sit at the bar and not talk to anyone but your friends? I'm not saying that's the only thing you should do ever (or that's where you should start), but start somewhere.

I'm not really a fan of the rest of the book, but Neil Strauss's "Stylelife Challenge" has some vocal exercises for different aspects you'd want to work on (making your voice louder, slower and calmer, etc.).

They'd also tell you to wait to move out until you have all of your student loans paid off. So, are you going to wait that long?

As long as your acting normal and respecting her boundaries (as well as yours), you shouldn't get slapped. Just don't take things too seriously no matter what happens. You'll be fine as long as you have confidence in yourself.

Well, I mean, there is definitely good advice (mostly, stuff like confidence, body language, etc.), but you have to wade through a lot of crap. There's just a lot of negative, toxic things that could mess you up. Guys trying to pass what they teach as the "one true way". At a young age, when you don't have the life experience to make connections about things your taught and think "this is absolute bullshit", it's very easy to get drawn into it. At 13, you're probably starting to learn to think m…

As someone who got into this at a young age (16), don't do it. It really messed me up. All it did was isolate me from my classmates and made me socially weird. The problem is there is a LOT of bullshit and at such a young age, you're going to have a lot of trouble discerning the good from the bad. It could end up creating limiting beliefs that didn't exist in the first place. What I'd recommend is that you just forget about all this for now, and just talk to girls. Make mistakes and learn from t…

This really need more upvotes and comments. That was a great motivational read. I'm saving this to read for the next time I go out.

I get what you're saying, but I still think it's important to go out and make mistakes. Yeah, maybe this post could have did without the "macho tough love" talk, but the message is still real important. Edit: Can anyone explain why I'm getting downvoted? Both the above comment and the post we're talking about make good points.

I feel like Mark can sometimes be very opinionated, sticking firmly to his own conclusions and not looking at other perspectives very much. As a result, he tends to look down on the community and see his way as the "one true way." Not that he doesn't have valuable things to say, but I think his way of thinking is a little more rigid than others. Keep in mind, this is coming from a perpetual newbie, so take this with a grain of salt.

"Not giving a fuck" is a mentality I've been working on for a long time. Unfortunately, it's usually short-lived for me. Do you have any tips for someone that struggles with this mentality?

One of the links in the side bar is a story about a guy whining about how women ignored him throughout his 20's and how he is incredibly spiteful about it. If /r/theredpill isn't really like that, maybe they should update their sidebar and the image they're giving to the outside world.
/r/seduction04/12/15 04:22 PM

It doesn't really matter if they get laid. It's the way they go about it. It's about the misogynist views they hold. You really can't defend them when they use acronyms like AWALT (All women are like that) and view women as nothing more than something to get their dick wet with. Honestly, our community gets a bad rep as it is. I don't think defending /r/theredpill will make things any better.
/r/seduction04/12/15 03:13 PM

Don't know why you're getting downvoted. I guess the Red Pillers are lurking.

But if you've never made a move, how do you know if you're getting signals that they aren't interested? Trust me. I've had times where I thought a girl wasn't interested in me only to find out later that they were. Sometimes, your mind is your worst enemy.
/r/seduction03/12/15 09:22 PM
2

Well, there's your answer. If you never make a move, how do you know if that's what they think? And you're only 28. You're not old. I thought for a second you'd be in your 40s or 50s based on that comment.

As a guy who is the same age as you with a baby face, I couldn't agree more. I think guys tend to underestimate how good looking young is. Embrace it, OP. Someday, we'll lose it, and we'll wish we still had it. It's much better to look young than to start aging early.

Listen, man. I looked through your search history. I don't know if you're a troll, but if you aren't, you really should get some sort of help. Being too afraid to approach women seems like the least of your worries. Your mind seems like it's in a dark place, and if you don't do something, you're just going to get more and more ensnared in negativity. And that's going to hurt you not only with women, but also with people in general.
/r/seduction02/12/15 07:24 AM
2

But then why do you wish you were a woman? Why not wish for gender roles that encourage women to approach as well? And what's wrong with learning to be an initiator? It gives you more flexibility in who you can date.
/r/seduction01/12/15 09:12 PM
1

Well, if you think that, maybe your trans then. I'm fine with my gender. Why is this thread getting overrun by Red Pillers/FAs? I'm thinking of just deleting this thread if this keeps up.

Has this place been overrun by Red Pillers the last few hours? Between you and /u/Heightpill, jeez. I'm not what you call an SJW. You do realize that there's a place in the middle, right? Just as much as I disagree with you anti-social justice red pillers, there's a lot I disagree with the typical Tumblr SJW. And if you read my post, I said that I recently got into it, so I doubt that's what has been "holding me back", as you say. You're being taught that women are special snowflakes that have n…

Are you a troll? You just wrote a similar post to me as well. I don't know if this is what you actually believe, but I don't feel this way at all. I've been told that I'm good looking. I've never had a problem getting a date or making out. Have you talked to a therapist about your issues? It sounds like you're in a pretty dark place (that is, if you aren't a troll).
/r/seduction30/11/15 02:56 PM

Well, I haven't jumped to any conclusions like that. I've been on dates and have kissed, so I doubt it has anything to do with my looks.
/r/seduction30/11/15 02:52 PM

Haha I'm not too picky about age. It's just the 16-17 range that had me worried. I also look pretty young myself and sometimes attract high school girls without meaning to. I have done a lot of what you mentioned, but I'll admit, that I've fallen off track with a lot of them (going to the gym being a small exception). I also have really neglected visualization type exercises, so I'll look into that.

I definitely need to work on that. I have a problem with treating people equally. I don't act like a dick to people, but there are some people I'm warmer to than others.

The truth is, I'm not too close with too many people around me at the moment. So, that's something I probably should work on. Vulnerability is something I need to work on.

Thanks! Just curious, what do you think is the reason why you've been having trouble connecting with women? What would you say the problem is? (If there even is a problem.. maybe it's just a matter that you haven't met a girl you have a good chemistry with yet) I think a number of things: I think I hold back on talking about a lot of things. When I went on my dates, I was ashamed of my situation (I'm beginning to be more confident about it, though, since I'm taking action to improve it). There w…

In the sense that I like all girls, yes. I've made out with a few a couple times when I was over there. Perhaps their dating culture would more suit your personality Well, yes and no. In my experience, Japanese girls feel a lot more receptive to me than girls back home. It's the foreigner effect. (Not that I think girls back home are less attracted to me; they're just more used to being around white guys, so it's not as much of an icebreaker) However, I never really went on an actual date with o…

A decent population of men GET WORSE from the seduction community. So true. I think if I hadn't discovered it at 17, I probably would have been much better off. It's only served to give me more limiting beliefs that have held me back in many areas of my life. Now, to be honest, I do almost the exact opposite of what like RSD teaches. Seriously. And my connections with women NOW, after I left behind teaching like RSD, are infinitely better. I've never got good vibes from RSD. It just feels more l…

TBH, it's been an on and off process. I was doing Mark Manson's approach program a few years ago, and was approaching 10 girls a day. I didn't push anything further with them; it was just going up to them and asking for the time/directions. I got stuck at one point; I think it was when you had to give compliments. If you know what to do and aren't doing it, then you're just too afraid to break out of your comfort zone. Why didn't you touch your date? It's probably because you were afraid of getting a bad reaction from her. Subconsciously you decided that was more uncomfortable than going home without having made any progress. It's a comfort zone thing. Even though you hate it, it's what you're used to so it's less painful than trying something new and being rejected. You have to make a conscious decision …

First of all, relax...life doesn't have to be this stressful and feel like a giant failure. You have a set of problems in front of you, take them down piece by piece and slowly improve your lot. I don't really care what people think of me. I've been suicidal and on the brink of oblivion and I've come to realize that if I'm going to live, it's going to be on my own terms. What's the point in living if I have to do it on someone else's terms or rules? If some people think I'm a douche, so be it. Unfortunately, if I'm going to be that person, I'm going to have to break some habits and change certain aspects of my life.

Also, I remember trying to do it a few years ago and being even more nervous about doing it than asking for time (considering I might run into the same person again). I know, it's probably stupid to be thinking like that. I'll probably try it on Wednesday. Even if I end up only asking on…

Also, I've been looking at courses on Udemy for stuff I'm interested in getting into (dieting, confidence, etc.). For the time being, I'm sticking with courses that are cheap or free.

Roppongi is the best. It's the easiest part of Tokyo to go to if you don't know Japanese or aren't at a higher level of Japanese. You should also check out Shibuya. It's not nearly as foreigner friendly (meaning there aren't as many people willing to speak English), but there are a lot of fun things to do there as well.

Yeah, I'm finding myself really motivated to change my life! Is that what you mean?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
