I would guess that's probably because of the entry-level hiring fee. Good guess. Actually, stores are small and managers would want to mold their employees to exactly what they wanted. Besides, nearly every applicant would receive minimum as starting, unless they transferred from another store. But this is not what we're talking about here, Do you have any scientific/statistical evidence of this? No, just the explanations given to me from the managers that I've worked with, which is what I alrea…

The exercise I mentioned was at the end of the lecture, during his Q&A portion. He did an example talking about pizza, which led to talking about girls in LA, I believe. Whether it's a psychological ploy or not, it's true in real life, at least from a retail perspective. My manager would prefer to hire and train someone without any retail experience rather than someone with some experience already to ensure that they don't carry over any bad habits from their old store and to cultivate good ones…

You need to get your mind out of that depressed mode ASAP, because you won't be able to achieve anything in that state. The purpose of this post is that I feel I've misrepresented myself at work and don't know if I can change the perceptions of me. This should not matter at all. Fuck other people's perceptions! What matters is what you think of yourself. Instead of comparing yourself to your coworker, you ought to be working on your self and getting out of that depression. The more you dwell on …

That was a great video, really resonated with me. He went over working on the fundamentals rather than going over a single methodology and emphasized growth in the skill rather than the success of it, which helped change the way I see approaches now. Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfdD0uDgSiY&feature=fvwrel. One of the conversation exercises you mentioned is having a fastpaced conversation with yourself, where you make a statement related to the topic to the previous statement.…

"Maybe that's true. But girls LOVE sex more than guys."

Haha, those feelings are far from what I feel! You're more like a breath of fresh air, another color of the spectrum we haven't been seeing lately. And as the saying goes, better late than never! The ones worth having will show up again. Hope to hear more from ya!

Say Hi, smile, find something about them that catches your interest (whichever comes first), let them know why it interests you, smile, tell them a story, have fun, and smile.

Man, you've shown so much growth in the last FRs. I absolutely love what you've shared with the Lessons Learned, especially the shame tendencies. Good luck in life, and I hope you post more!

It felt good saying it out loud. By the time I got to the 3rd time, I was saying it with a smile and swagger. Thanks for that boost! I'll be writing this down so I can wake up early in the morning and work on this chant outside, away from the roommates.

You did the honorable thing after a not so honorable act, that most people would try to tip-toe around or avoid. You proved that you have strong values and you stick to them, regardless if the consequences would favor you or not. /edit. Sounded like a fortune cookie. Just wanted to add, you're a good man, and I commend you for doing what you believe is right.

It seems to me it's the environment. Girls that go to a notorious douchebag bar and expect notorious douchebags to hit on them. They want that atmosphere.

Lately, whenever I get nervous, I just think about the fight or flight response. Usually, I'll want to wuss out on my intentions and use my surge of hormones to help me escape the situation. But clearly, I should be using it like rocket fuel to get over my stupid fear of rejection and fight for what I want. "People aren’t out to hurt you. They don’t know who you are and what you’re all about, so stop taking life so personally all the time." I will internalize this.

That quote struck a chord to me as well. But I also found a different interpretation for it in terms of AA: "If you won't talk to her, who will?"

I gotta give credit where it's due. I found his blog from the Nice Guy Contract, posted by Benjamin_Wankin. I liked this post because I always give myself excuses to put things off or to not do an approach because I'll see her tomorrow or I'll have more free time later. You can fabricate a better situation to see yourself in, but that may or may not ever become a reality. "There's no better time than the present," is what comes to my mind.

I get stuck in my head every so often. I focus so much on what I think I should be saying or doing instead of just doing it that I fail to get anything productive done. On the outside, I'm as calm as can be. But inside, I can't help but think, "Okay, what's the next step? Uh.. is that right?" It boils down to my confidence and discipline, which kinda wanders here and there. I want to be able to have control over it.

To me, pickup and seduction is a learning how to communicate to women, which involves learning to care and respect your self and your self interests to be able to convey your interests without inhibitions. Magic Bullets, Vin DiCarlo Escalation Ladder. I've read through them and understand the main points. I've yet to practice head on because I feel like I still need to wrestle with my inner game first.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
