Why is it when they say they feel like they “missed out” it’s always about sex?

When you no longer have romantic feelings for them and they no longer have romantic feelings for you. Friendships are supposed to be neutral and until you can get there it's not the right time.

This is so true and also debunks the idea LVM have of “well, she let me treat her like garbage.” A HVM will always treat you with respect and will not take advantage of you- even if you’re a pickme.

My uncle left his country to work in the US solely to support his wife and pay for her medicine and therapy once she was diagnosed with depression. When he finally returned, he got himself a truck and started up a good business for himself and is still a devoted husband and father. A true HVM example in my life.

I mostly envision myself dressing up to do activities in the country I plan on moving to to keep myself excited. It’s fun to think about what I’d wear to a bar, to a date, to a concert, to run errands etc. and just thinking about how exciting and fresh the move will be :)

I love to play dress up and come up with fun outfits for fun hypothetical scenarios in my head. It helps me manifest, get creative, and appreciate my wardrobe more :)

Some will also ask for things that you used to do/allow with your exes to pressure you into breaking boundaries you have now. Never reveal your past. As far as anyone knows, all my relationships went well and we just decided to go our own ways.

FDS has definitely pushed me into decentralizing romance from my life and focusing primarily on my own growth into a woman and building the foundation for my life. I don’t think dating is off the table forever for me. I still believe that I can achieve the partnership I desire, but it’s not a top goal like it was before. The right person will come at the right time :)

I also had a relationship with a “spark” that always had me anxious. I understand your struggle for sure. I think you should be interested in someone to begin with and over time the spark may develop in a healthy way. However, I’d also been seeing a man who had a bunch of green flags, but he gave me the “ick”. Not because he treated me well, but because I just didn’t want to do those kinda things (kissing, holding hands, sex etc) with him and the thought grossed me out. Just don’t make decisions…

I think it’s important to stick to the FDS handbook and respect yourself and your boundaries when it comes to men but I think you should also strive to develop a healthy sense of optimism. Not just when it comes to dating but life in general. Having a positive outlook and keeping my spirit high has attracted a lot of good/better people into my life and a lot of joyful experiences. While the men I’ve run into have not boyfriend material (not necessarily LVM but not HVM or not a good fit), my expe…

Friendship is supposed to be neutral. Unfortunately, now that this situation happened, I don’t see the possibility of friendship. I think you should also consider that you felt awkward/uncomfortable when this happened. Why hook up with someone you don’t even feel chemistry with? How does that “benefit” you. Guys always want a FWB but have no actual benefits to offer you. Personally, I’d never speak to him again or avoid him entirely/block. I don’t see this ending well if you try to figure it out…

There just have to be signs that the man was like this before the pregnancy. I just can’t imagine giving birth and finding out the father of my child is that much of an asshole. I wish only the best for this woman and her baby.

I would tackle it in a few ways: 1. I would look up YouTube videos about what it is and how to start being mindful 2. When you start noticing that your thoughts I headed in that direction it might be useful to pause and observe your surroundings (feel the floor beneath your feet, what furniture do you see around you, how do your clothes feel on your skin, etc). This is called grounding and will bring you to your here and now. 3. In addition to the above whenever you start thinking negatively, yo…

I suggest you practice mindfulness so that you live in the moment and enjoy the here and now instead of worrying about something that hasn’t happened.

I spent 3 years in a relationship in college. I went through a lot, learned a lot, and grew a lot as a person. After I ended it, I wouldn’t say I regretted it, but I spent too much time with someone who I felt never really envisioned a future with me or respected me. What I would say is that I could’ve used those years to really discover who I was as a person and meet more people and experience dating more. If you can help it, don’t jump into anything serious. You don’t know how incredibly fortu…

Must show basic level compassion and kindness to people— especially people who he can’t get anything out of. Respectful of all boundaries that I place. Someone who is financially stable and generous. They don’t have to be loaded, I just want them to be good at managing whatever they do have. They are able to prioritize for the long term and work hard on things even if it doesn’t interest them in the moment to achieve long term success. (I.e you focus on a class you don’t like in university and p…

A simple question to ask yourself: Do I feel comfortable and safe with the idea of potentially marrying and spending my life with someone who I cannot count on in moments of need? Love is not enough, my darling. I hope you make the right decision for yourself based on the answer to this question. Life is too short and too long.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
