There was a thread on there debating about how bills should be split in a cohabiting situation. There were actually quite a few commenters who posted about how they split things equally, or proportional to their incomes. I think you'd find a lot of white middle aged male suicide is by divorced men, given how fucked the family law courts are and how easy it is for well off men to lose everything. And I'm not saying the number 'involuntarily alone' men hasn't increased since the 80s, it definitely has (due to a range of factors), I just think 25% is a bit too high an estimate.

I'm not so sure it's as drastic as 25% of men being 'obsolete' and 'involuntarily' not fathers just because they don't have kids by 45. That's not an average girl. But yes, young women are very privileged in the dating/sex arena. Mainly due to age gaps in relationships, the average 21 year old girl has a pool of guys from 20-30 who she could realistically date and hook up with, whilst the average 21 year old guy can really only date/hook up with women from 18-22, meaning he has half the dating pool of the girl.
