They are aware of it in the context of have a conversation with them about it tho. “Why do you watch X? Isn’t that [not your political position]?”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 05:29 AM

This probably isn’t a controversial point here, but I find it odd when I run into people with similar political views that mainly consume media that supports that view. Podcasts, YouTube videos, etc. What is the point of interacting with that stuff after you understand the topic and where you align? It’s so much more interesting to see opposite perspectives and weird outliers on both sides

What? Isn’t the whole point of movements like feminism (and also MRA stuff I guess) to point out the inequalities between the two sexes? Earnings are different. IQ distributions are different. Physical strength is different. Emotional intelligence is different. Mental health and sociology is different. Does that sound equal to you?

Auto-piloting social situations is different than auto-piloting your thoughts. If you don’t keep those kind of thoughts in check, that’s on you

Kinda disagree. It’s pretty easy to separate weird online bullshit and any doubts you might have about the other gender whenever you’re actually on a date. Confidence is a different matter

Every time I match with a really hot woman on tinder, it’s somehow still as intimidating as it is IRL. With most women I message (if I do), it’s easier to not give a fuck, but for the 9/10s or 10/10s I suddenly take it more seriously

Men don’t make it worthwhile, but if a woman in our age group is even interested in being a traditional wife, chances are she will convince herself to enjoy that path despite her husband’s shortcomings. She may not have married the most handsome, in shape, richest, or most thoughtful man, but she’s married, which is the end goal. And if you have achieved the end goal you must be happy, right? Not to slam on traditionalists too much, I just see a friend of mine in this situation

I have done this in the past and he didn’t believe me and actually cut contact for about a year. Everything is all good now tho. Basically, I found out through my girlfriend at the time that his gf was cheating on him with a guy we knew, so me and another friend of mine sat this guy down and told him… and he sided with her. We had made a lot of jokes about her in the past because we knew she was a cheating whore before they dated, and I guess he took this as a final sign of disrespect toward the…

I think I’m a bit younger than you so most of my friends are single rn, but previously we always kept the gf-time and the friend group-time separate. I don’t know why people insist on bringing that shit together so much

Reading this kind of shit over and over makes me not want to date at all because it makes me feel like a woman’s opinion of me will never fully be her own. I want to date someone who forms their own opinion of me and doesn’t look around to see who else is attracted to me or whatever, because I sure as hell don’t

IME it’s not as common IRL as it seems online. You can maybe get away with painted nails and looking generally feminine with some girls here, but anything more than that and you’re gonna have a really hard time. It varies by area tho

Didn’t someone post some stats a couple months back that marriages between whipped cream dudes and uh… cocoa women were the most successful?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/22 04:51 AM
2

I’m down for that shit, but you’re right that whipped cream dudes don’t seem to be for some reason. Went to a couple parties at the same house, months apart. One was a more diverse group of people, there was music and lights and some girls were in the living room twerking on guys and dancing and shit. Then when we came back, the whipped cream frat dudes took over, there was no music, hardly any women, and no one looked like they were having fun No idea what the fuck is wrong with them

I’m assuming that’s a different type of guy than me, but you can still focus on finding certain qualities in a partner while expecting a bare minimum of other qualities. Sex and looks are the most important for those guys, sure, but they still want a bare minimum of common ground to find a woman interesting. There is no such thing on being to focused on “sex and looks” or any other quality, that just means you haven’t found someone well-rounded yet

Why not get her a Pepsi? I don’t think her mom will give her one. Just one Pepsi

I got this one! I agree with the premise that men are looking for more than sex, AND it is also true that good looks and sexual compatibly are arguably the most important factors in finding a satisfying partner. Why? Because for many men like myself, it is much easier to find a woman that you are satisfied with her personality than you are with her looks or her libido. “Sex and good looks are WAY MORE IMPORTANT” to us because out of those factors it is the one that is hardest to match to what we…

I don’t think pressure is new to men, the pressure is just different. Before the pressure was to provide, now it’s shifted somewhat to looking good and being personable because most women can provide for themselves. The only times I feel like women without makeup have put no effort into being attractive are when a woman that I normally see with makeup appears without it, and suddenly their face is greasy and covered in acne, with dark circles under their eyes, all of which they’ve hidden with ma…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 08:23 PM
3

Yes. The most attractive woman I have dated did not wear makeup because she grew up poor and didn’t learn how to use it. Once she did start trying to learn how to use makeup, it didn’t go well because she didn’t know what she was doing. Not saying other girls I have dated were unattractive because they wore makeup, but they just happened to be less attractive than some women who don’t need it. That and they displayed a higher level of insecurity in general
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 07:08 PM

That’s what I was saying by “men should put more effort into their appearance, just not makeup”
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 07:06 PM
4

The makeup argument isn’t projection when you see firsthand how it affects the self image of your female friends. Instead of being this fun thing that’s supposed to boost your confidence, it oftentimes will instead become a requirement to have on to cover up an insecurity. IMO it’s less about cheating and more about the fact that women hold the effort they put into makeup as some kind of high ground over men (which, admittedly, most men should put more effort into their appearance, just not make…

I had issues gaining weight when I was younger, and if you aren’t already I would suggest something like mass-gainer shakes to make digesting a lot of calories easier. I had luck in just increasing portion sizes over time, but if you’re struggling then liquid supplements will help (provided you are still getting enough macronutrients and vitamins)

I don’t currently have a girlfriend and I wouldn’t date someone that weighs more than me now, but back in high school there was a point where I weighed about 120 and my gf was 130-140. I didn’t mind her weight because she was in good shape and looked good, I just hated being so skinny for my own self-esteem. Now that I am like 210, there is zero chance that I’m dating a woman that weighs this much. I’ve never seen nor heard of a woman that is healthy at this weight, even women that lift don’t ty…

/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 10:07 PM

That just happens to be the case for a lot of people
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 05:42 PM

That, too. Habits are largely born out of affordability for a lot of Americans, but I don’t see any logical solution to this issue that wouldn’t be something that sounds relatively absurd to us currently, like steep taxes on fast food, trans fats, added sugar, etc. Even then, that only disincentivizes people somewhat, and aside from the time it would take to fix people’s dietary habits (probably an entire generation or two of people learning to eat healthier) that still doesn’t automatically fix…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 08:14 AM

I don’t think so. Overeating is obviously a huge issue, and it doesn’t seem all that rare for young women to have an eating disorder where they eat too little, it’s just rare to where it leads to a noticeable unhealthy level of being skinny. What isn’t talked enough about is proper nutrition. If the general public had more knowledge on proper calorie and macronutrient levels, then I think people in the US would see a huge improvement in not only their weight, but their strength and levels of ene…

Asked out a woman to coffee from my ethics class, we had previously talked about the tattoos we had and a little bit about the various instruments we played. Matches don’t mean a whole lot, but given what we know about female selectiveness and the amount of men that get little to no matches, they mean something. That something being that you are at least at some level of attractiveness to either be relegated yo FWB/hookups, or to have your attention be desirable enough for them to match with you

The only women virgins I’ve met in college it seems are self conscious about it, but not made fun of specifically for being virgins but rather, “why don’t you have a boyfriend yet?” Because for women commitment is a more important marker of value to others than sex is for men. In fact it’s kinda an inverse analogy between men and women

You mean on themselves or on men? In my experience, they’re overly conscious about stretch marks on themselves, but I have some on my inner bicep running up to my shoulder from working out and I’ve never heard any comments about it

There’s a pair of roided up dudes about my age that go to my gym who run small fitness instagram accounts with fake last names referencing Naruto and some posts referencing anime. Even just that little bit makes me think “dude, come on, just fucking lift and go home” That and these guys are notorious for hitting on underage girls and striking out with women despite being absolutely jacked

I agree, I feel similarly about RP. FDS and RP want to have their cake and eat it too by insisting that most of the other gender is beneath them, but yet they will devote their time to bettering themselves in the hopes of snagging a partner that fits all of their arbitrary needs

This is the best part about beauty being subjective. I wasn’t rated as objectively attractive across the board on this sub, but I’ve noticed once you find out that you are someone’s type irl you can say literally whatever you want and they will be hooked

If this somehow were the case that they both want to have sex with me, I think the most likely scenario is that they both have that desire individually but haven’t shared it with each other. Out of insecurity, feeling like it would ruin their relationship, whatever it may be, I can’t imagine those two agreeing that they want me in a threesome. Not to mention that this guy already had an inferiority complex regarding me before his wife started doing this shit, he would really have to be a cuckhol…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 01:41 AM

You’re probably joking, but this is another possibility I have considered, since my ex-girlfriend told me through the grapevine of this guy’s girlfriend at the time that he was bi-curious. Never heard anything from him about it, but I could see it. I don’t think I would do it. Not a fan of threesomes, and if I’m going to ruin their marriage it might as well just be me and her. Hypothetically.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 01:32 AM

I have had that thought before, but I don’t know if she’s actually the cheating type. I don’t think I would even feel bad for my friend anymore considering how many times this shit happened before they got married and I told him to reconsider. But no, they were in such a rush to have sex that they had to do it

Hung out with a friend earlier who is married to another friend of mine (I introduced them). She simultaneously insinuates that I am a man-whore and also asks me “when are you gonna get a girlfriend?” as if I can’t. I love them to death, but Christian conservatives can’t seem to grasp that there’s more to life than dating and marriage, and we are all like 21 so there is no rush. Not to mention this feels like her trying to gauge how much female attention I get in order to rate my value, because …

I’m just in the process of cutting off my female friends, actually. I went to a small high school (graduating class of about 60, 75% of which were girls) and I was the only guy my age that really hung out with any of the girls. From high school through college I had an easy time making friends with girls because I was funny and, in their words, “emotionally intelligent”. However, within the past several months I realized that without exception they have all used me. Mostly for emotional support …

I agree about volunteering, I just was so used to seeing cynicism on here that it took me a second to realize your comment was genuine. I guess I can say I dabble in social media being that I don’t post much anywhere and am lucky enough to not feel as pressured into certain standards as a lot of my peers seem to feel, but I do find myself caring less and less about individuals on these platforms and more about discussion of ideas (mostly here because this is what interests me) and just general e…

At first, I thought you were making a sarcastic point whenever you mentioned volunteering, like you were saying that you have to do a bunch of extraordinary things to even be considered. But maybe you’re right. I’ve been thinking about deleting social media for a while now (I already got rid of tik tok, thinking about getting rid of Instagram and Reddit) but I guess the main thing holding me back in terms of dating is that for a lot of women it feels like they want you to have something out ther…

Ultimately it doesn’t matter what “beauty standards” are, especially for women with the way that dating works. Regardless of what you look like, there are plenty of people who will find you attractive (this is true for men also but maybe to a lesser degree/less obvious degree). That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to be fit and healthy and attractive, but it should be for yourself rather than for what you think beauty standards are. In other words, don’t worry so much about your looks and validat…

I don’t know, I think myself and other people I know that grew up in fat households grew to resent their families for being fat and lazy (unless they also became fat). A lot of guys like me probably work out in part to avoid ending up that way, and have even less tolerance for it than people who were not raised around fat people But that’s just a minor nitpick
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 08:46 PM
1

Yeah you’re right, I would consider most women that weigh 115 to be underweight for my preferences, maybe depending on height. Even still, my hottest ex was 5’2” and around 130-140 when we dated, with a decent amount of it being muscle. I guess maybe that’s a sign to not move to Europe for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 08:44 PM
1

Maybe that is true overall, but honestly in my experience your interests matter much less than how attractive a woman finds you. I’ve had conversations with women that clearly aren’t interested in weightlifting but will feign interest in what you’re talking about just because she thinks you’re hot. If a woman doesn’t show some form of interest in what you have to say then odds are she isn’t attracted to you
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 07:25 PM
2

Well, I don’t really know any guys that like very fat girls either, most prefer average to thick/muscular. The one guy that I know that has dated a fat girl was fat himself at the time. Personally, I’ve tried being with overly skinny and overly fat (to my standards) women at points because I felt my standards were too shallow, but it was horrible and I learned my lesson.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 07:19 PM

The modeling industry definitely affects women more than men. Guys don’t look at runway models and go “oh, she’s hot” more than they do “damn, she needs to put on some weight”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 07:06 PM
2

You’re probably right, but since weightlifting is something I’m passionate about I would rather talk about it than try to pretend that it isn’t important. Women like guys that are passionate about things, too, it just depends on the woman and her level of security and interest in your interests

/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 06:47 PM

I know this isn’t directly related to your main point, but for what it’s worth I don’t know any men my age that prefer tall, stick thin blondes. I truly don’t understand why that used to be a beauty standard or what some guys find attractive about that
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 06:46 PM
1

I don’t feel the need to project all of that shit, but plenty of women do fear being alone. Not as many as there used to be, probably, but it’s not uncommon for women to still be heavily invested in their romantic relationships first and foremost and they fear being alone because they don’t have much else going on (typically)

The only argument that makes sense for men always paying is just the logistics of how women vet during the dating process. Now that a lot of women are making as much or more than the men they date, the idea of men paying has no basis in monetary dynamics anymore. Chivalry is dead and equality killed it, because chivalry only existed as a means to compensate women for their unequal footing in society.

It’s very easy to find these opinions out in the real world. Probably not voiced by anyone you aren’t close to, but I have heard plenty of hate from both sexes. Maybe it’s a result of Gen Z becoming increasingly isolated and polarized from one another
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/22 10:01 PM

I don’t want it to be my chance one day. I would rather date women my age or a little older. Relationships with large age gaps gross me out, and I hate how normal it is for women and men to seek this older man/younger woman arrangement out.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 08:41 PM

I had a friend of mine get raped by an older woman in high school that he was trying to get alcohol from. His girlfriend dumped him, people generally didn’t believe that he was raped, and then he had an alcoholic stint for months where me and a mutual friend had to watch out for him. That shit sucks, I’m sorry you had to go through that. It’s amazing how little people care when the victim is someone they can’t perceive as one.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/22 03:48 AM

Well, I’m inclined to agree, but success is also relative to what you desire. I’m somewhat progressive when it comes to relationships, but I live in a conservative area and I have seen a good amount of my friends find success (so far) in traditional relationships/marriages. I am interested to see how this plays out in the future, however, because everyone I know that is married is around my age, 20/21, so it will be interesting to see how those relationships develop

I find that shorter women more often have the figure I’m looking for and maybe appear cuter/more feminine in some way, but ultimately it just becomes too straining on my neck to look down at someone all the time when I could just have someone taller For reference, I am talking about girls in the 5’0” to 5’3” ish range
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 03:06 PM

Sure, but honestly the main issue is just having to look downward at someone all the time, and simple stuff like having to bend over while they stand on your tiptoes to kiss you

Preferences: not super short (I’m 6’1” and dating short girls gets tiring after a while), thicc/muscular, dark hair, soft/round-ish facial features. My age or up to a few years older. You don’t think you’ve had any positive experiences from it? I was wondering if engaging in hookup culture to a small degree might lead to more confidence/better sexual performance in the future
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/22 03:11 AM

I have done this, but to a much lesser degree. No racism or anything like that, but if a girl likes you enough you can say whatever you want and they will still display interest

Attraction is the only reason a lot of guys stay in relationships most of the time. Try talking to more guys about it and you will find out

You could literally keep going for either gender. Also, my point was that it’s more common and accepted for women to have sex toys or to fuck inanimate objects
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/22 06:31 PM

I don’t treat women as lesser than men, however the way women are socialized to be feminine in certain ways often makes them less productive and less interesting when their only concerns are male attention and romantic relationships. I think that dropping a lot of feminine expectations on women would be beneficial for everyone because a lot of them are inherently not helpful (over focus on beauty, submissive personalities, etc.) As much as I understand where the stereotype comes from, I wouldn’t…

I wouldn’t disagree that they don’t hang around waiting for sex, but I have had times where I didn’t realize that’s what they wanted until I found out that they had a significant other and were just looking to cheat. I get general interest/attraction confused for explicitly looking for sex
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 04:53 PM

I think that generally applies to women that obviously don’t workout. No one is pointing at female lifters and calling them overweight just because their bmi is off

This mentality tends to come from men below the top 20%. All of the best men I know tend to uplift each other, or at the very least do not feel in competition with others. If you feel like you are in competition with other ken, chances are you are losing.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 03:34 PM

Hell yeah, dude! Also I thought your comment about “connect the dots” was funny because I don’t socialize much within my major. Most of those people are not super well adjusted or charismatic (even less so than I am anyway)

I am also a math major.

If you didn’t go out with sex as your intent, what (other than alcohol) changed your mind? Was it about the way you were approached or more about the way you felt at the time?

2

Yikes. Hope he got treatment
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 04:06 AM

That is interesting, and when you explain it that way I think it makes my experience make more sense. It just sucks to go from being told not to be overtly sexual and take it slow to finding out that it doesn’t work that way. I will say, the best results I have had came from presenting myself as more of a fuckboy than I really am, but trying to pivot the conversation after you’ve opened the door that way is useless
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 04:05 AM
1

I would not define myself as high value across the board, but I think there is something to be said for the environment you’re in and your age group as far as whether or not you will find the type of connection you are looking for. If you are shooting above your pay grade and getting rejected, then that is another story, but if you and another potentially high value person are just looking for different things, is that struggling or is it just unlucky?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 04:00 AM

How do you feel about it, and how old are you, if you don’t mind me asking?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 03:38 AM

Well, I wouldn’t say I have permanently decided to be celibate, but yeah pretty much. I’ve tried hooking up a hand full of times throughout college and ended up uncomfortable and leaving every time. I’m sure this is at least partially due to my anxiety disorder, so I’m not sure if my stance would change if I felt like I had a better grasp on it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 03:36 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 03:25 AM

I could see myself doing that. For me personally, I struggle with anxiety so it takes a lot for sex to feel safe even within a relationship. If I found ways to manage it better, maybe I would feel more comfortable with casual sex

/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 03:13 AM

I would disagree with the last statement. They talk somewhat about “leveling up” (as cringey as that lingo is), so they do some self improvement, but it isn’t the main focus as much as it seems to be with TRP
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/22 04:07 PM

I’m not RP, but if I came to someone with romantic intention and they said they wanted to be friends first it would probably turn me off as well. I don’t think this is a good test for RP tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 09:38 PM

I’m not sure what the difference is. Isn’t the point of self-development to get rid of insecurities by bettering yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 09:35 PM

Good to know that when a woman can’t remain monogamous it’s still the man’s fault
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 09:29 PM

I’m not sure that women are overtaking stem at all. I’m a math major and I see that in my small college our major is about 50/50, but in things like engineering and computer science it is still overwhelmingly male. Something like 80% male for both of those fields I think
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 10:02 PM

Women sexualize very mundane things. Sure, guys can be very obviously creepy and ogle women for features that are clearly attractive, but what women sexualize sometimes is puzzling and gross in it’s own right. Forearms? Fashion sense? Disrespectful and avoidant behavior? (Just naming a few head scratchers here, I’m sure there’s more I could think of)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/22 09:01 AM
3

As a guy, I agree with him/her. No one is entitled to sex with anyone else, and men are to blame for being so easily appeased/attracted. I personally don’t like how most men find the majority of women attractive and seem to have no specific tastes or dealbreakers since so many women are low quality as well, but that’s the way it is. Until that changes, women will hold the power in this dynamic
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/20 02:42 AM

The partners I’ve had so far have been mostly against oral due to their own insecurities, and I don’t like to push the issue. That being said, my fingering game seems to do the trick so far so idk 🤷🏼‍♂️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/08/20 01:13 AM
4

Yeah, I’ve already taken care of that for the most part. I’ve only had full penetrative sex with one partner because I’m not a fan of hookups, and with her I always make sure she orgasms at least once before I do. That doesn’t mean I don’t feel pressure to perform better otherwise, sadly.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/08/20 01:11 AM

I gave up porn & severely limited masturbation within the past several months. Beyond that, I’ve always been receptive to feedback & always try to make sure I’m not overstepping boundaries. I tried using those kegel exercises a for bit to last longer in bed, but I fell out of that habit & still suffer from premature ejaculation when it comes to actual intercourse
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/07/20 01:52 AM

Yeah, I don’t fully understand how people get in relationships where one person is abstinent and the other isn’t
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/20 03:41 PM

How is that a lie? You don’t think any short men can find partners? You don’t have any concept of how relationships work if you think your height automatically disqualifies you altogether
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/20 09:18 PM

Maybe you won’t be a “Chad” or anything, but the fact of the matter is there are still plenty of women for short men.

I get the “just be confident bro” meme, I just couldn’t think of a better way to say “don’t be pessimistic because it doesn’t do you any favors”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/20 07:25 PM

Hey man, don’t disparage yourself. Short men aren’t unlovable. A short friend of mine has had more relationships than I have. All it takes is confidence
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/20 06:52 PM

I think women value companionship more than men do on average. Just based off of anecdotal evidence, the men I know are more interested in physical relationships and often feel like most women can’t satisfy what they look for in a life partner. On the other hand, most women I know are more interested in companionship, and will sometimes even sacrifice their physical fulfillment in order to stay with a partner that they feel fits their other needs.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/20 09:37 PM

Not everyone wants a permanent partner though. I’d say it’s more correct to say that human nature encourages social interaction, but not always lifelong partnership

There are almost certainly some destinations that cater to this demographic of men, but my point was that most men in general aren’t looking for this. It’s definitely possible that most men going to underdeveloped countries are looking for this kind of shit, but the majority of the men overall don’t spend their money to travel abroad just for sex. As long as you’re not a total cretin, getting laid in a first world country shouldn’t be a big enough issue to where you feel the need to take advanta…

Okay, first of all, don’t say “you” as if I’m doing this personally, I’ve never had sex over seas. Second of all, you’re implying that there aren’t women in other developed countries that are looking for hookups just like people in America, or that men only look to go to underdeveloped countries for sex, which is not what most men want/plan to do

Men tend to have lower standards because it’s all they can do. For example, I have a friend that’s maybe a 4 or 5 out of 10, and often he doesn’t match with girls in the same ballpark as him (looks-wise). After listening to how my female friends talk about men, and knowing what I do about how women act as the deciding factor in 90% of interactions between men and women, it’s very apparent that women often overvalue themselves, or they know from experience they can shoot upwards because many men …
