The Christmas thing is probably about her being Jewish (or maybe just ethnically Jew but atheist, which is pretty common). I agree the meditation thing is pretty fucking weird. There's basically no one who couldn't benefit from a little more contemplation.

Contracts require an exchange. That's not a contract.

I would add don't write it down or put it in a computer at all. It's dangerous enough saying it aloud when there might be hot mics around.

Lol. What makes other guys so hard to deal with?

I wish I were gay. Life would be a lot easier.

I'm just saying, getting fired is an entirely predictable response. Unless he planned on leaving the job anyways, there are ways to post text documents anonymously and not get caught. It's poor decision making from a risk-reward standpoint.

Poor guy should have known better than to publish it under his own name. The author is pretty naive.

I tried to read this screed a couple days ago, but I got bored about halfway through it because it's all pretty obvious.

Women are disgusted on a visceral level by weakness in men. If your opening up means coming clean about how awesome you are and how many hos at work want your cock, you're probably safe.

Everybody seems to be assuming type II diabetes and that she's fat.

What, specifically, do you think is contradictory? I fit something like 29/33 of her bullet points. 1 I didn't understand (what is Grenier?); 1 I failed; and 1, I have no idea how charismatic she is, but considering her personals ad didn't spend any time on her qualities, I'm gonna guess I think more about how others perceive me.

I'm going to disagree with basically everyone here and say that the list is actually pretty reasonable. She's probably been in a couple relationships and knows what specifically causes issues in her relationships. It's better that she's self aware of it and heads it off. And there's nothing super unusual on the list, and no mention of money, surprisingly. The only odd thing is that she's silent on what she's bringing to the table - not even a pic.

I've had similar enough stories with multiple women that it doesn't seem like obvious bullshit to me.

There's nothing under the sun women don't lie about. Example: this tweet.

In all likelihood she didn't learn a truth. Dude was probably sugar-coating it by calling her a 6 so as not to hurt her feelings. He probably knew that she couldn't handle being told her real rating so fudged it, but didn't want to fudge too far because that would be an obvious lie. So he bumped her up a couple points, but he could not have comprehended the depths of her self-delusion.

I appreciate your perspective, and there are certainly many software engineering jobs that don't require anything theoretical. In my experience, it's been sometimes valuable to be able to see how the problems I'm trying to solve fit into higher-order frameworks.

I'm outraged that they get paid $0.77 for every dollar a man makes, because I've seen women work and no way it's worth that much.

Even in CS, there's a depth and breadth of knowledge that quickest and easiest to get in college. It's an actual field of study, unlike a lot of college majors. Note I don't claim it's the only way to get the knowledge, but I've interviewed over a thousand people for software engineering positions and I've never hired someone without a college degree (though admittedly, some of the hires had degrees in something other than CS).

I'm aware of the etymology of the word "mortgage". I was specifically contradicting /u/mentalidade_logica's assertion that "marriage" means "death".
/r/MGTOW26/07/17 09:20 AM

No. "Mort" is Latin (and French) for death. The English word "marriage" comes from the Latin "marito", which is a verb meaning "to marry".

It's pretty well documented: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/microsoft/9346371/Nigerian-scam-emails-deliberately-implausible.html It's immediately clear that the lady in question is not optimizing for swipes, but actively weeding out people who are wastes of her time.

Think about it for a second. She's not looking for a man with a brain. Nigerian 419 scammers purposefully put spelling mistakes in their emails to filter out the people who can spot an obvious scam. Same idea here.

Agreed, but in this case it's even worse. She now has blackmail material on him. You'd think that since she's a co-conspirator, she'd get in just as much trouble and thus wouldn't tell anybody, but I tell you I've seen it happen in analogous situations.
