For me theres a difference between idealizing falling in love and wanting a companion w whom I'm in love with. It's the mindset of nothing's missing. Love doesnt come from another person, some of the greatest poets and philosophers speak on this often. "The most important aspect of love is not in giving or the receiving: it's in the being. When I need love from others, or need to give love to others, I'm caught in an unstable situation." -Ram Das He was also known to say that when you are in lov…

I've lived all over the country and I've been dating for ~15 years. In many ways I was a serial monogamous w a few polyamorous situations w (mostly) hot men who were talented in some way. I've enjoyed deep connections and mind blowing sex that took both participants straight to God. It's not that I don't like men but they're no longer at the forefront of my mind and I am not motivated by the above mentioned thoughts or ideals. In my codependent and serial monogamous recovery I am enjoying gettin…

CoDA stands for Co Dependancy Anonymous. It's a 12 step program like AA or NA. Fortunately it's a younger group so theres a lot of open mindedness surrounding the concept of a higher power

I also feel like it's time to stop putting up with and validating LVM. The future is matriarchal and feminine 💜

Yas!! I'm a sensitive empathic artist and my career is fitting for that. Instead of craving to share that with men, I crave to use that to build a community of like minded women!

Yuck. This reminds me of my x who pleaded and begged to take me out for my birthday. I had to work late and didnt want to go. But he insisted on doing something special and was "hurt" I didnt want him to do anything. I worked at a restaurant and he showed up AFTER we closed (if you're in the industry you can understand how embarrassing that can be to your co workers) but still had guests, a whole hour after he was supposed to be there. He was busy making my "gift." He had no dinner planned and I…

It was a large high school with over 2k kids. I was friends with everybody, the preppy kids, the drama kids, the sports, the science nerds, but I wasn't friends with her small krewe. I dont remember much besides her air of pretense and "my shit doesn't stink" attitude of not talking to anyone that wasnt white or well off(large native American population). No one really liked her.

Thanks all! The situation is intricate as we have a lot of mutual friends and acquaintances. I blocked him on all accounts because I realize further communication is not worth it for me. I let him know that I would be taking distance and that if he absolutely needed to contact me he can reach out to my friends to get the message across and that I would contact him in a month or so about returning things. It feels empowering to block his access to me and I feel more at peace not having to anticip…

He also gave me some appliances and when we broke up he said he didnt want it anything back from me. Now that he's angry, he wants it back. Keep or give back?

Update: In spite of being out of his league, I realize the man I broke up with was the kindest, most giving and loving man who was 100% committed to me. But because of my past of not facing the music, I was unable to function in such a relationship. Self worth, playing the victim to my life circumstances (even when I thought I was done with that roll), lack of trust in myself, self betrayal, resentment over giving up time, etc. I was unhappy w myself and projected that onto someone that was noth…
