I work from home 2 days a week. The other 3 days I have a 35 min commute. But my job is flexible enough, I can take vacation or paid sick time anytime it's needed.

We are currently in massive debt. At least 50k in credit card debt alone. Her not working in the last 3 years has set us back financially. Only assets we have is my 401k around 70k, and around 60k equity in the house.

This is actually something I hadn't considered. She quit her job during COVID and didn't want to go back to work. I was fine with it because we have 3 kids, but now they go to school during the day and she could work nights and weekends if she wanted to. I've been the sole income earner the past three years.

Why do women not see that divorce is almost always a bad outcome for the family, with the exception of physical abuse (actual abuse!)? Financially, it just doesn't make sense.

I was shocked to hear my wife say " it's not like I won't already have someone else lined up" by the time she's ready to file for divorce. She didn't know I was listening. She asked for separation 2 months ago, and immediately signed up on dating sites. And now it seems like the dating sites are not looking so promising...

This is exactly what I'm going through right now. Going through a separation from wife. I can't seem to find joy in any activity.

We took the kids to the zoo last weekend. It felt really good to go out as a family again. We actually talked more than we had in a month. I'm trying my best to connect with her. I cook and clean the house more often now. I watch the kids when I'm home so she can get some rest. But she shuts me out most of the time

I don't drink. I've never smoked or used drugs. My whole world revolves around my wife and 3 kids. Don't go out much besides work.

Yes. She did lose a lot of weight recently. I'm happy for her weight loss and do support her in that regard.

I really want to work things out with her. I'd do anything to save my marriage. I don't want a divorce. Our kids need the care of a two parent household.

I don't believe she's had any physical relationships yet. But she's definitely chatting with men.

It really hurts that she did that. To make matters worse, she signed up on a dating site on my birthday. Didn't wish me a happy birthday even though we talk and see each other living in the same house. I was shocked. This was after a week of separation, sleeping in different rooms. And now she's spending a lot more time on the dating apps. Sometimes, I think she's trying to find my replacement before filing for divorce. I'm so depressed, I started going to counseling last week. My wife refuses m…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
