road kill is kind of hunting

well but you have to see how marriage rates develop as well to see the context. Not that I now the one or the other. But just a decreasing rate of divorces could also be due to just a decreasing rate of marriages in the first place. One value alone without context says nearly nothing.

hey, keep us updated if he responds. Would be nice to know how he reacts.

It is not that long of a read and Rollo really knows his stuff. You might even learn something from articles you thought you knew about.

don't be outcome independent?

I think doing chores for your Mom is even good for you. Learn how to do everything that needs to be done at home, because at some point you want to be independent and able to look after yourself. This possibly even includes cooking (especially since homemade food is in general healthier than bought stuff). Learn whatever you can, it only makes you better.

not a pro here, but my 2 cents: Outcome Independence: if you would truly not care, how she would react you would not even have a problem asking her. Obviously you are interested, so you are not truly OI but the question is, what is the worst that could possibly happen? Shes not interested... won't kill you. Awkward seeing her again? Why? She is good looking and you showed interest, one of the most normal things on Earth. If she is not interested, that's just the way it is. You are both grown up …

actually I can not see the problem, unless she get's so insecure that it starts to manifest in bad behavior.

although this doesn't mean you can not get laid by just having a hot body and dressing well. Game just further increases your yield.

actually it doesn't. I was just wandering how to best display, that it doesn't. :-) And obviously I sill got to learn a bit.

actually she is looking for someone to LTR up... might have played my hand by stating that I'm not the one. Still learning.

Thanks for the advice. Sadly I have not found married sex life primer in German. But I will try and talk with him.

I think you worry too much. Just go and approach. Try "fake it till you make it". Have fun! What's the worst that could happen? Everybody gets rejected. The only thing you have to learn is deal with that in the proper way as /u/fnordsnord said. Don't let it drag you down. Then you can try to keep "this" in mind or "that" while approaching, and sometimes you mess up and sometimes you don't. Stuff that works will stick and you will get better. The advantage you have from TRP is, that you already h…

I agree with you, but it does not invalidate my argument. If this was what it took for him to recognize then everything before was not obvious enough or she got careless

still he wouldn't have known that his GF actually was not worth his time. And the story would not have been that interesting.

Won't comment on that. I'm still new and do not yet feel in the position to actually give advice. Previous comments was just my 2 cents. But I can understand you totally. I myself hate to have to commit to something without knowing what I am actually doing, so I made a habit of default quit if someone is trying to force me to do something, without me knowing, what it is.

still his mother could have relied on his good judgment and told him without his commitment. If it is in everybodys good interest why would he act otherwise? He didn't say he will go around and make the matter public afterwards he just said he wants to decide for himself, and I think that is totally ok.

I guess it just hurt that much. She really was the center of my world and it really took me some time and help from you guys to find out that the new center of my world is and will now forever be me. After realizing that it was just the only sensible course of action left... to get the fuck out of there and start living. I just bought myself a guitar. I already can sing, lets see if I can rock that singer/songwriter vibe.

can fully agree... same stuff happened to me. We have been together for 8 years, met her when she was 22. Beautiful, intelligent, studying veterinary medicine and rocking it. We had a wonderful time. She even followed me when I graduated and moved to do my PhD. I proposed and we married. From then on everything went downhill. I was bluepill to the core, gave her everything she wanted and had happiest time of my life (I thought). I also was totally sure about her not being interested in other men…

If I would really take a job somewhere I would definitely try to learn the language. I'm happy that I learned English in school but I still feel kind of stupid if I can't talk to other people in their language.

as a job I'm looking for something in my field, as a physicist my prime advantage is that I can teach myself quickly nearly everything that has to do with technical stuff, can do programming, simulation. Best job would be in research and/or teaching since I'm a natural at explaining technical stuff. I'm rather looking at bigger companies for job security and opportunities to progress and even relocate without necessarily having to change the company. The Idea to travel came a few days ago when I…

as a European I never understood the need for something else than the metric system. And is totally frustrating when you are hunting in the lab for your only set of imperial hex keys for that one screw on your imported laser edit: I know what got me... I'm 6.135 feet, but that's not 6'13, it is 6'1.6"

actually I wish it to my (soon to be) ex-wife who did exactly that (and brought me round to TRP in the first place). I'm determined to cut her out of my life as fast and as thorough as I can.
