The golden rule of game is: if it works for you, do it. This looks plenty motivating to me and not more creepy than cold approach pickup in general.

I'm curious about what city you're in. I loved me some coffee shop game when I was in Europe, but in my current city (in the US), it's been slim pickings, cafe-wise.

I've found that coffee shops are a good place to do indirect approaches as well. Sitting near someone, and then turning to the side to say: "What are you working on?," has been a great opener for me. Since you're starting off indirect, you do have to use eye contact, body language, and "presence" to give off a more flirtatious vibe, but it's totally doable. Depending on your conversation skills, and how much rapport you have with a girl, you can actually have a longer conversation (not just 5 mi…

Hey man, fellow Asian chiming in here (Chinese-American). I really feel you, and I'm not gonna bullshit you by saying it's just your mindset that's the problem. Asian guys have it harder than other races, but it's definitely not insurmountable, and I'm not sure it's harder for Asians than it is for black guys or short guys. I think women's perceptions about Asian men are changing a lot as Asian people become more visible and there's also more and more fetishists these days thanks to K-pop. I liv…

Damn, son, you are fine as shit. You really need to learn some game because you should not be having this hard a time with girls if you’re this good-looking. Try to find other ways of meeting girls besides anime conventions and don’t get fixated on one “type”. Also tinder can be tough on ethnic guys (coming from an Asian guy). Just be aware it’s not a good option to meet attractive girls for most guys.

It’s up to you whether you want to lose your virginity to a prostitute. I think it will help you to be more physical with girls, but it won’t be a magic bullet. You have to push yourself and learn the mechanics by yourself. That means making a move when you feel nervous or don’t know if the girl will reciprocate. I’ve been to a German FKK club, and it’s a bit of a weird experience because the women are just walking around like meat. I found it a little mechanical and unsexy. Sex does not feel as…

Bitch is just how a lot of European dictionaries translate the word “prostitute” from European language into English. I see lots of Italians, Spanish, Germans, etc. use the word bitch for prostitute. He’s just using a dictionary or Google translate. Source: lived in Europe for 4 years.

Getting blown out is part of the game. Just ignore it and move along. "Have a nice day," works if you have to say something. (This is because [1] that's what you want for them, and [2] there's nothing to apologize for.) If you're getting ignored, it doesn't necessarily mean that the girl thinks your unattractive or creepy or anything, she just has other shit going on and is too tired to say let you down gracefully or explain why she's turning you down. When I was living in Eastern Europe, there …

Online dating is a venue for ugly girls to hook up with average-looking guys, and for average-looking girls to hook up with hot guys.

I feel like cold-approach has an inherently low success rate. (This is coming from someone who actually does cold-approach.) It's just not easy to have a meaningful conversation with a random girl you met on the street. It's not even about you and her. Like, the girl is usually just in the middle of her day, and she's not ready to give your conversation the energy it takes to make a connection. I get a phone number maybe 30% of the time when I cold approach during the day, and it's usually not a…

In my experience, every place feels like a weird place to run game... until you've run enough game there to get used to it. This question has been answered in a lot of different ways by most pickup literature. Anything we write here won't be new to you. You have to be willing to try in places that don't feel comfortable or "socially acceptable".

Agree with this dude. Maybe you're thinking about this girl because she was cute or whatever, but there wasn't much "there" there.

If some girls are calling your weird, but your game works on other girls, I wouldn't worry about it too much. You're just being polarizing. Don't get me wrong: Being called weird sometimes does mean you are doing something wrong, but don't overcalibrate to the point where you don't have a personality.

Thanks man! Only a couple of years, seriously. I think this is fairly standard advice, but I only give advice when something I've read works for me.

Definitely. I made a point to say "every other day" or "every few days", and should have emphasized that less often is better.

The quality of the girls is higher in real life. Also, ideally, pickup should be a regular part of your life. If you see a girl who you like on the street, in a cafe, or at a club when you’re out with your friends, you should be able to just go up to her and try to seduce her. Sarging and going out with the intention of running day game are for practice, or when you’re between girls.

Definitely acting or improv! Acting / performance is a really sexualized space. Before I got into pickup, the second girl I ever slept with, I got together with at a game of strip spin the bottle at an improv cast party (I was not doing improv, just invited by a friend).

I would have done the same thing you did. And then felt bad afterwards for not telling her, “Wait, stop. I think you’re cute, can I get your number?” But sometimes you hesitate and miss the chance.

I feel like this must be a biologically hard-wired trait for most girls, and it isn’t helped by messages from society. So I totally feel you. As human beings, our brains are pretty much fucked from the beginning by neuroses given to us from Mother Nature. I disagree that “conventionally beautiful” women get 100% positive reactions from men. Women have different tastes in what kind of men they find physically attractive and the same is true of men. Think of women like Megan Fox who are hugely div…

The other poster gave you exactly what you need to change your mindset: take action. The reason taking action changes your mindset is because it exposes you to new situations and experiences where you learn that many of the things that you believed to be true are not true. These are ideas like: “Girls will think I am a creep if I hit on them.” “Girls are not physically attracted to me.” “Girls will not enjoy having sex with me.” But you have to take action every day, and that is difficult becaus…

It depends on how she reacts. Minimize sending questions and asking her how she's doing, or what she's been up to that day (it's a boring question and sounds beta). Send random pics and stories of what you've been doing, and if she reacts, talk for a bit, and then cut out before the conversation gets too long. Do this every other day or every few days, or whenever you genuinely have something interesting to share. If she starts messaging you or sends you pics, it's a good sign, and you can have …

Yes, you should keep texting her to keep things warm. Two weeks is too long to go without talking to someone if you're going to go on a date. She basically won't know you by then.

She may be serious about it, or it may just be a friendly thing, but if you like her, you should treat it serious. Any situation where a guy and a girl are alone together is a chance for the two of them to escalate towards having sex or getting into an intimate relationship together. If you're into her, she will sense it, and that will contribute to her being attracted to you. Even if she's just inviting you as a friend, she might get caught up in the feeling if you two are having fun and vibing…

It's not ideal, but it is doable. If a girl and I are walking towards each other in opposite directions, sometimes you just don't have time to stop her before she's walked past you, in which case I turn around and go up to her from the side. You can tap her on the shoulder or say something to get her attention. I once approached a girl I was walking behind using the, "Hey, I like your backpack" line before as well (because I actually did, haha). Side and front approaches are obviously ideal, but…

(1) If I'm texting 5 girls at once, I'm not going to spend a bunch of time thinking how to make clever, personalized messages to each girl. This is great boilerplate stuff to text without having to spend a bunch of your time thinking of what to text. (2) It's better to get blocked than to be ignored. You have to polarize, and that means taking risks that may make you look stupid.

Turn to her and say, "So where are you headed?" Have some banter skills to be able to continue the conversation after the opening. Next time, don't wait more than 3 seconds to talk to her.

Everyone has different sticking points. Seduction is a multi-step process. Some people excel at some steps, and other people excel at others. We're all trying to get laid, and that's why give advice to each other about what works for the steps we're good at.

To be honest, I think that that’s hilarious and awesome. I think you could just say it and see how girls react. I think most will just find it funny, and you can use it as a segue into a more sexual conversation.

Warm up, man. It’s a huge thing that noobs may not be aware to do. Going from stepping out of your house to going up to a random girl and saying: “Hey, I think you’re cute. Can I talk to you?” is hard for experienced puas. Ask people for directions, for the time, talk to guys for a few minutes to get into a social mood. Then when you’re feeling more in the zone, start talking to a girl with seductive intention.

I can’t believe how many guys are white-knighting over this girl’s comment. You don’t go to a girl for pickup advice. Not because girls are dumb, but just because girls suck at picking up girls. Anyway, this article is the kind of good tactical stuff that we need on here to balance all the repetitive inner game stuff. These text strategies are all quick, low-effort ways to keep a text conversation playful and interesting before a date. I don’t see anything cringey about them, but even if I did, …

Cafes are great low-key places to pick up girls. The girl I've been dating this past month was a French tourist who I picked up at a cafe in Thailand. I saw her sitting outside by herself, and then I went outside to pretend to empty sand out of my shoe. We looked at each other, and I started a conversation literally by asking her what she'd ordered. If you're starting off, I would try to just get comfortable talking to girls at cafes, without worrying about trying to "pick them up". Go indirect …

I'm a nerdy-looking Chinese-American guy who does cold-approach, and has hooked up with a lot of white / European girls through cold-approach (these hookups happened when I was living in Europe). I'm 5'10", and I've hooked up with about 5 women in my life who have been taller than me (usually by 2-3 inches), and I met those girls either through cold-approach or situations similar to cold-approach (like meeting at a party). I would say that most (white) girls are not open to ethnic minorities, es…

You actually look pretty good, dude. Ethnic guys are really polarizing, but being dark and ethnic doesn’t automatically mean ugly. Look at Idris Elba. You might be shorter than average, but you could carry yourself well with better posture. Your shoulders look a bit tight / rounded.

Is it really believable that this guy wrote up two long-ass, complicated posts just to impress some guys in the internet? I mean, it’s possible but I think the simpler story is that this shit happened, maybe with a bit of exaggeration, but it’s overall believable to me.

I don't understand why everyone's high-fiving this guy over this story. The point of this reddit is to learn seduction, the art of making a woman sexually and/or romantically interested in you. This guy goes into monk-mode for a few months, and gets so zen that he doesn't need to fuck girls anymore. Good for you guy, but that's just straight-up not a good strategy for attracting women, and I didn't come to this board to shed all earthly desire. Like, yeah, one girl on molly wants to hook up with…

What does this question have to do with seduction? Is your goal to make friends with girls? If so, how is that going to help you get laid or get into a romantic relationship? Are there other, more efficient, ways you could get laid? If you're trying to seduce girls, having girls think you're interested in them sexually isn't a handicap.

The point of the story is that he was having a normal conversation with these girls, but used it to transition into a situation where he could display qualities that are attractive to women: (1) humor, (2) confidence, (3) non-neediness, and (4) the ability to influence and command others. He also created a situation where it looked (superficially) like both girls were competing for him, and that was enough for the two girls to feel like they were competing for him.

I agree. Something I learned doing pickup is that being the Alpha Lothario dude isn't necessary to be successful with women. Not every girl is looking for that kind of guy, and you don't have to be that dude to hook up with a lot of girls (or to get a relationship with the girl that you're interested in). There are ways to communicate confidence besides "the stare and command" method, and it's more about being consonant with your personality (the non-wimpy parts). Saying, "Mind if I get your num…

I think asking a girl out from service-sector jobs is high-risk, low-reward. I've asked out lots of girls who work at cafes and restaurants that I frequented when I was living abroad (this was mostly in Ukraine and Turkey). I think it's quite natural, they're people you see on a regular basis (or at least more than once), so you have some comfort/familiarity and a bit of "social-proof". It's the same reason you ask people out from your school: you're not strangers. But I ended up getting friendz…

I think the standard recommendation for improving your sense of humor is to watch a lot of standup. Or any kind of comedy show. I think watching UK panel shows can really up your wittiness factor. Just like any art form or creative pursuit, being exposed to a lot of it makes you better at it. Or you could do improv, but, man, you have to be ready to get into that lifestyle, lol.

Brilliant move. I love the epiphany right at the beginning of wait, let me take a step back and see what the non-beta move is. Now that is a key turning point in getting good at pickup.

I have bad news for you. If you have to ask the question, then I'm afraid when you try to pick up a girl, you're going to look desperate. I know this because I also used to worry about looking desperate, and when I went up to women in clubs or in cafes and tried to talk to them, they could read it right in my expression and body language. Which led many (but not all) of them either shutting me down right away or trying to find an exit as fast as they could. Let me tell you, it hurt, and it made …

Also disagree. There are tons of successful / otherwise fulfilled guys who don't have success with women, or who could have a lot more success if they improved their pickup skills. Being successful doesn't mean that much if it's in a specialized field that women or society in general doesn't care about. This is why physics PhD's still struggle to get laid. If you want to attract girls, you actually do have to (at least partially) invest in living life according to what girls and society deems at…

I want to reiterate what everyone else here is saying: you can't tell, and that's why you go up to to her and try to escalate the situation to find out. This was a huge block for me when I was starting out: not knowing when a girl was interested in me vs. she was just being friendly. You can try to do a lot of analysis and get the "right" answer (decide whether she likes you or not, or just being friendly), but you will almost never be sure, and it's not worth all the cogitation to try to figure…
