People are products of their environment. Just where do you think they learned their behavior? Right from Mom. Make your life better.

If she is always angry at someone or something, eventually it will be your turn. You're handy and when the 'new' wears off you will be her whipping boy whenever she wants to lash out.

Marriage counseling is a complete waste of time and money. Personal Counseling is about looking closely at uncomfortable times in your life. You have to stick with it but in my opinion it is valuable.

Look on any dating site. The nearly universal theme is 'being out DOING something' . Like it is a crime to sit still. Before anyone chimes on with 'living your life'...I disagree. I've thought about this and all I can figure is that sitting quietly with yourself may lead to introspection.

If you involve yourself in a relationship with a woman you are playing a losing game. The law puts all Men at a disadvantage in modern relationships. Men have to take care of themselves. All the way around. They must learn all aspects of living a neat, organized and productive life. Go ahead and date but be prepared... Freeze some semen. Get a vasectomy and don't tell ANYONE about it. If you wish to procreate, go ahead but don't get married.

It will go OK at first while your wife dumps all over you and they both gang up on you about your 'issues'. When you try to talk about the things wrong with your wife's behavior, suddenly she won't want to go to marriage counseling any longer.

Frankly I have so thoroughly embraced the happiness of being my own person that I want absolutely nothing to do with all the foolish social expectations of men. Walk away from them and stay away. Men have learned to care for themselves. Up to the point that if you, as a man, ask for help you are usually given a disgusted look and told to 'man up'. That's OK with me. Self sufficiency should be striven for. My problem with society is...if I walk past a female that needs or wants help of some kind, there will be some kind of outcry about not helping the female. The reverse, a female ignoring a man in need of help, is totally acceptable. THAT is the issue. My goal now is to compose several t…

Welcome to the club of the enlightened. I don't look at women. I don't talk to women unless absolutely necessary. I have pointed out the spectacular bias of the media toward men. Some people have come back and said that they never really noticed it before. It's everywhere.

HAH... I worked in an auto assembly plant for 7 years. There were many jobs women flatly refused to do. I spent a couple years installing front bumpers on full size cars and station wagons. Many women were hired after me but they went to much easier jobs. If a woman went on a job she didn't like, it was not unusual for the tears to start flowing and then she'd get moved. Equality my ass. I never saw a woman do the job I had even though they had a pneumatic hoist. You still had to muscle the bump…

The carnage that is online dating is a real eye opening experience. Don't waste your time. What a man reads about in any mens rights site will give you pause also. I guess primarily I am tired of being the recipient of the blame for the world's problems. If the women of the world are all that they say they are they can get by without me. I make my home a safe place. Have you gotten nasty looks from women in public places? It's just unreal. Learn to workout at home. Public gyms are real dangerous…

Unfortunately, in my experience, the space she needs is to fill with another person. She wants to see what's available out there and doesn't want to deal with full break up drama until she sees what's going on. Marriage counseling is a total waste of time. The male is just a punching bag that pays for the sessions. Move on.

She just wants total and complete control of the marital sex life. The males wants are inconsequential. OK. It's her call. If the OP can look at this and still continue into the marriage, well, he deserves all he's not going to get. This is just the tip of the iceberg. She will have complete and total control of everything. She does not care for his feelings or desires.

We, as males, need to change the way we do things. Without announcement. Without fanfare. Without any display of anger.. In fact, with quiet politeness. Just start removing certain things from our lives. Altering our expectations of society. All the comments here are right on point. The opposite of love is not hate. It's Indifference. Lashing out in any form is counterproductive. It only hurts you. I'm 66M. Any interaction with women, particularly on the internet, is largely a dangerous waste of time. I have stopped interacting with women unless there is no alternative to it. It is just not worth the trouble or potential negative outcome. First. Sorry for your troubles. Second. Unfortunately no gives a damn what you are experiencing. 99.99% of people only care about themselves and what you can bring into their lives. Third. Seeing a therapist is one of the only ways a man can share his troubles. I should qualify that...seeing a MALE therapist. If you cannot afford that I think there are local programs available usually. I am always mystified that the 'therapists' allow this bashing of one partner to continue. A good friend and his ex went to a 'marriage counselor' . After a handful of visits that were made up of the wife spending the entire session bashing the husband, the counselor said ' let's spend this session hearing what your husband's thoughts are. The wife flatly refused to return again.

4 years of no dating. 65M. 2nd best decision I've ever made. Divorce is the first. I just can't sit through another 3 to 4 hrs of listening to how every thing in her life is someone elses fault. After she knows me for a while she starts critiquing me on my obvious shortcomings. Oh lord, then comes the BAGGAGE. Which is why she is on the dating prowl any way. She needs someone to tote all her baggage. Joy. I am pretty happy now. Wealthier.

The comments here are correct. You will never regain trust. She will do it again. Stalling is just giving her time to get in a better financial situation. Divorce. No Contact.
