It really isn't that difficult to comprehend. My daughter is 13 but has the ability to look 18 or so. Her best friend is 13 (will be 14 in a couple months) and easily passes for mid 20's when she wants to wear her mom's clothes and spend an hour putting on make-up.

I tell both my son and daughter: Physical violence is an idiots way of resolving conflict. Both are martial arts students. Both could do serious damage to each other and those around them....however both know that physical violence is better left to idiots.

Don't only shop around for different airlines but also look at towns within a reasonable drive both to and from specific locations. As an example we live about half hour from SeaTac airport; a very expensive airport to use. On the other hand we are a reasonable distance away from Bellingham, Vancouver and Portland. Most of the time I can fly out of Bellingham to nearly anywhere for typically half the cost of flying out of SeaTac.

Upside of this is when the kids are in their 20's and realize who cares about them (dad) and who cares about the money they provided (the mom) things get real for everybody involved.
