This point towards a bigger problem in general. The a lack of a father figure in a man's life could be detrimental to his quality of life.

Dude, I'm 5 ft 4. Yeah, I may be short and I may suck at dating. But my height has been the least of my problems. Don't worry. You'll do great.

I prefer to call it "personal development" rather than inner game. Ultimately, the goal is to become the best version of yourself. Here are a few recommendations (some already have been mentioned): Man's Search for meaning - Victor Frankl Mindset - Carol Dweck Grit - Angela Duckworth The obstacle is the way - Ryan Holiday Courage is Calling - Ryan Holiday Can't Hurt Me - David Goggins I hope these books serve you well, my friend.

Looks can only take you so far. There on, you'll have to mae use of your charm. What has been your strategy for working on your weaknesses?

Yeah, at the end of the day height matters, unfortunately. I've liked girls both taller and shorter than me, and the outcome has been pretty much the same (in regards to girls I liked for a relationship).

Great book. I'll listen to the audiobook again.

Yeah, how do you market yourself? I don't use social media anymore. Only twitter to read some news and have a few laughs.

I accepted it a long time ago, so it does not bother me a lot. It does limit your dating pool, but I'm not against the idea of dating someone a few inches taller than me. Besides, I live in Latin America. A "tall" girl here is 5 ft 7 or 5 ft 8 at most.

Yesterday I was feeling kind of down because I was thinking that girls usually don't have a crush on me. I'm really bad reading signs but in the past few years no one has never told me "Hey, my friend likes you" or "I like you". I'm not unattractive by any means. I consider myself to be a great guy. But from time to time this kind of things get to you because they ignite feelings of loneliness and self loathing. But it is impossible for a guy to not be desired by at least one girl. Perhaps it is…

This post just hits home. Great job, OP.

Where are you from? There should be at least one person with enough knowledge to give you counsel.

Therapy, my friend. That's the best investment you can make right now.

I agree with you. They want someone "Great" with good morals but usually tend to fall easily for pretty faces and sweet lines (Not hating on these guys. Props for them and their pickup skills).

We are making progress. It turns out I have some kind of bipolar disorder, so we are working on it. It won't deny that it's kind of expensive, but it's worth the investment. I wish I could have done this years ago. Give it a shot as soon as you can.

I could not agree more. If you feel stuck none of the things you read here will make solve your issues in the long term. Therapy is the way to go.

Just don't give a fuck. This may sound like a no brainer, but you got to understand that the pain you feel is part of the process and that your goals require at least some suffering or discomfort. A small bump in the way is necessary, buddy. Don't get discouraged.

This guy has some serious social skills. He killed those silly random lines. They looked extremely natural. Thumbs up.

I do get urges sometimes, specially when I'm feeling stressed. But I manage to calm them. I believe nofap encourages you to release your sexual urges through sex with another person and this works as a motivation to pursue successful human interactions. In my case I'm still a virgin and have not kissed a girl since New year's Eve, but Im working to overcome this.

I'm on my 4 month straight of nofap, but I do not feel extremely motivated.

You are right. My approach anxiety is the effect of an underlying fear of rejection and social conditioning.

To be honest. I'm just afraid to jinx it. The last two girls that I was romantically interested in, rejected me. I was heartbroken for a while. I don't want to admit it because I'm afraid I'm going to condition myself to screw it up by actually giving a fuck about her approval.

Great post. I'm recently getting out from a 2 and half year oneitis. I had to learn the hard way. I introduced her to one of my best friends and they hit it off. My friend and I had an emotional conversation where I told him that his happiness and friendship was more important than some girl. As of today, it still hurts a little bit. But the pain is fading away. And now I'm starting to get into to game to improve my social skills and have fun.

Totally agree. I once texted a girl who is actually my friend that we should hang out one day. She didn't answer. I think she misinterpreted the text and thought I was asking her on a date. I have not spoken with her ever since.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
