3	Gender Equality in the Marines Just to follow from this - you wouldn't pitch men and woman against each other in boxing/mma would you? Why not? Oh yeah because it would be completely unfair. So why would you do this in war where lives are at stake and the prize is your country/family/friends being safe? Its about winning. The stronger the better. Yes unfortunately this means men.
