I don't know what kind of power fantasies the people in this thread have, but you're 17 and there is almost no way that a 40 year old employee is going to take you seriously. You have your entire life ahead of you and there will be plenty of other times to be alpha. Just relax and learn as much as you can.

Thanks man. I'll go ahead and check out rsd and keep improving. I was just wondering because I lack a lot of important game knowledge like ioi's and what not

Though I agree with you that this system is extremely wasteful, letting the uninsured die is the worst possible way to address this. What if you were in a car accident and you needed blood immediately. Should the hospital let you bleed out wile trying to call the insurance company?

Thanks for the great reply. Would you recommend a career in the hedge fund industry? I like math and from what I know working as an analyst for a hedge fund pays very well. But I have also heard it is really stressful, especially if your investments are not doing so well. Also, is the environment like that in the wolf of wall street?

So don't know anything about investment banking at all, but I was wondering why you need to work 100 hours a week? I always thought it was a 8-5, M-F job. Also, are the hours that crazy at hedge funds and other market analysis jobs?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
