No he’s divorced and likely has a higher count. Btw we’re married with kids. So he didn’t care

You had written a comment and deleted it… but the gist of it… which is that men are the ones who also will refuse to commit despite a significant number of dates … and feel like they have a ton of time and options … I think is also somewhere true: I had never encountered men who were so attentive and into me and came on so hard or spoke to me - 2-3 months on the phone and text…before just not wanting to commit.

He’s 31, not yet in med school, and is a scribe. If he’s constantly judging you on metrics that apply solely to women (body count), you’re giving him a fair amount of leeway for being mediocre/ semi unsuccessful right now. Remember that apart from being a good and kind partner, men are also valued by their ability to provide for their families. You don’t want to be a gold digger or judge him for his profession, but you have no issue with him judging you for something you can’t control. Also - to…

Imho this is too much effort and it won’t actually work. If a guy is super bothered by this stuff he’s never going to get over it. He’s always going to be in a position of power and you in one of weakness!

This is an incredibly lacking answer. His hypothetical commitment to a hypothetical family doesn’t tell you anything about him as a partner and a person. Further, if he’s truly spiritual, he would know himself better and understand just how much he’s mistreating you or wasting your time. Your answer should be a lot more robust, with examples of how he makes you feel loved and cared for. This guy sucks. What exactly does he do? Is he at least professionally successful?

Btw i want to make it crystal clear that it just got worse and worse with time and he became more shaming and abusive while I became more attached. And the more details I gave him the worse it got. He started shaming me about dudes I didn’t even date! Called me a slut nonstop. I hate him so much today when I actively think about him, so I don’t. Good news is I’m married and pregnant. And frankly it doesn’t matter that he’s single still - because men have the luxury of time. Don’t let him rob you…

Ugh. This post makes me upset. I was in a relationship like this and all the guy did was shame me day in day out. I was 28 and had a higher count than him, and he wasted 3 years of my life. At 31 I had to rebuild from scratch. Now when I look back I only have resentment for him. What values are you talking about? What about basic values of decency and respect? High value males are not so insecure. My husband now makes 7 figures and is the best man I could ask for. He’s head and shoulders above t…

What about in cultures where anything more than. 1-2 is bad? Is 30 a number you came up with? Where does one draw the line?

What is a high body count according to you for a 35 year old? After having 1-2 bfs my whole life I moved to another city for school and my bf wasn’t ready to get married so we broke up. During the ages of 28-31 I dated with an urgency to marry and men would go on 5-6 dates or chat for months would slowly ghost as they simply didn’t wish to be constrained by a relationship. As a result my body count increased to 9 (sex around date 5-6 or.month two of speaking on phone) which is a LOT per my stand…
