Your comment deserves an award. The US government's war on men has disincentivized smart men from working hard towards bettering systems and putting their best when it comes to engineering. For many men one of the biggest incentives in life is having a beautiful and good-hearted woman. If all they're going to be getting is used-up trash, likely of cheating on them with absolutely zero consequences, why put extra effort when their regular pay pays the bills and more?!

To add to this, I think in many of those instances, the technology already existed, it wasn't applied, and now some company has taken advantage of the opportunity and applied the technology to say automate a certain task in agriculture.

Yes, progress has only been incremental. The hope is AI will do all the advanced level thinking we are incapable of and thus, solve our problems. I don't think we will see this in our lifetimes if ever, however, if I had to bet my money on who would win that race, it would be China.

It's already there, but social media, corporations and government put a lot of effort into censoring this information. For example the entire mgtow sub has been quarantined and there are constant threats of deleting the entire sub by reddit.
