Technology advancement also relies on a stable non-SJW society based around science, logic, commonsense. Obviously this is not the case for today's society which is a man-hating SJW gynocentric mess which is in the process of collapsing.

On top of that, a lot of the smartest people are men who will be going their own way not contributing to technology advancement. This is because we're not gonna waste our time, energy, and life advancing technology for the scumbags who treated us like shit and fucked us over. Smart men like Einstein, Tesla, Newton, etc, all wasted their life doing that only to be treated like shit by people who used them as disposable tools and who are ungrateful for the inventions they made, and we're not gonna make the same mistake.

MGTOWs (and men in general) are minimalists. That is, we're happy with what we got and the fact that we're not in the same slave position as most men stuck with wives and children. We'll work and do what's needed to make ends meat for ourselves, but the rest of society is on it's own now. They can have their "strong and independent" women and beta males take care of the technology advancement from now on.

Progress is being made, but it's been very slow.

The pace at which we advance is primarily being throttled by our limited computational power. Current computers can only process so much data, and the complexity of our present challenges demand much more than we can handle.

Essentially, when we have adequate quantum computing power, then we should witness profound, monumental advances in scientific research and engineering, occurring in very short time spans. At least, that's the expectation.

The U.S. and China are in a race to perfect the first proficient quantum computer. In theory, whoever accomplishes this first will become the strongest superpower in the entire world.

I mean, at a hardware level technology hasn't progressed that much since about 2008. Just look at CPUs. The clock speed maxed out at about 3.2GHz, as the transistors can't physically switch any faster. Anything beyond that is overclocking and sacrifices accuracy to do it. The only way they improve on CPUs now is by stuffing more cores in to allow parallelism and improving bus speeds and number of registers / layer 1 speed. But when it comes down to it they still have the same clock speed deep down.

Graphics cards are more of the same. Just bigger chipsets for even more parallelism, but at the core the clock speeds are all the same now. If you test a 2005 game on a GTX 480 at a 480p resolution vs a 3090ti at a 480p resolution you'll get basically the same results. The only way they improve now is bigger monitors, more parallelism - more simultaneous processing for each pixel.

Even storage has hit a wall. The best is large SSDs now and the only improvements are RAID array setups and improving the transfer interfaces.

I agree. My feeling is that much of the current R&D is in AI and VR, so a lot of it just isn't visible yet. Although, the Oculus Quest 2 is getting a lot of press for being very advanced.

Interestingly enough, 2019 is the year Moore's Law became obsolete, as transistors on a circuit board have literally been reduced to an atom.

The only progression from that point is quantum computing.

Electric vehicles go bonkers. In 2018 a 500W skateboard was considered good, now in 2021 unicycles are 2000-2500W nominal and peak at over 10kw. That's more most 125cc motorcycles, the device has one moving part, weights under 40kg and is the size of a briefcase. One more battery tech upgrade and gasoline motorcycles will be outperformed in urban environment. If you were to graph human technological evolution and zoom out, the curve would look exponential. But that doesn't mean the line won't look a bit bumpy when you zoom in. There will always be some periods of stagnation, it's not a smooth, 100% predictable process.

Agriculture is seeing lots of new tech to improve efficiencies, but the end result you see is still just a tomato or a lettuce. The details are being pushed higher up in the supply chain and out of sight.

AI is constrained by processing power, but can still be improved by new methods of using the data. The field of AI is hugely based around designing the layers of a network, and what each layer does with the data. Generally, more layers gives better results, but requires vastly more processing power. Achieving the same results with fewer layers requires vastly less, and so new AI technologies that can actually be used are dependent on design and math.

VR is fun, but the tech isn't compelling enough yet to inspire mass adoption. More people need to buy VR tech for it to get funding to improve faster. Otherwise it will probably improve about as fast as smartphones do these days. A new gimmick, and maybe a slightly better screen for the headset. What would really improve VR is better haptics / force feedback, or full-dive tech (hijacking the brain's sensory perception to drop you into another world). Full dive might be possible with Neuralink, but currently implanting nodes into the brain isn't safe and can cause scarring in the brain tissue. Hopefully it can be done by wearing a highly sophisticated hat or bodysuit instead of jacking a metal spike into the spinal cord.

Other than processing speed limits, I believe that there is a conspiracy keeping certain technologies from reaching the public. These may include "anti-gravity" devices that could teleport across the universe FTL, and zero point energy or maybe ether energy that could provide infinite energy. The problem with sharing these two technologies with the public is it would give the average person way too much power. And elites don't like that. Also imagine if the next mass shooter had a ray blaster instead of a gun, and they could level buildings with it (zero point energy gun). Not fun.

For some reason, this reminds me of a rant I had several years ago. I noticed that a bulk of our technology was pioneered about 100 years ago with the car, air conditioning, superchargers, even down to the television with current technology just refining older tech. Our latest advances aren't of rockets, but more like a blanket with sleeves.

My phone requires more lines of code to turn on than the most advanced machine of the 80's, the space shuttle.

Tech has been stagnating and tech companies have lost their ability to be original and innovate a long before 2019.

Take UI's for instance. Instead of designing and testing a UI for usability <GASP>, most companies are lazy and copy whatever the new UI changes that Apple, Google, or Windows added to their own products, and often the worst ideas are copied.

UI's in apps, applications, OSs, and websites have been flushed down the usability toilet during the past 10 years. Everything is black, white, or grey, and flat. It's like every software company hired a 100% colorblind cyclops with no concept of vertical relief to design every UI to look good only on the original grayscale 1984 Mac instead of today's devices.

Up to about 2010 mostly men designed UIs. Anyone want to take a guess at what sex is now mostly responsible for the lousy UI design nowadays?

This is my own belief here.We haven't had any true innovative technology since WWII. Everything we have now is a derivative of something we already had before 1945. This is painfully obvious in the evolution of the assault rifle, with the vast majority being direct copies of, or slight variations on the StG44.

There is only a certain amount of the tech that the general public is permitted to know about. Everything we have has been obsolete for at least a century. Technological growth is exponential, and we get the tiniest amount of that technological growth. It makes us easy to control.
