I just can't comprehend how a 10-minute mile is something to be proud of Confidence has to start somewhere.

Surprisingly enough, if you don't really care about having tons of useless shit in your life, you don't feel like going into debt for a degree or mcMansion, and you care more about your own passion than society's, then not having a job is the best thing ever. Look. Work sucks. Not only that, every day that you work, you're spending another day powering this society that wants to just drain you of all the time you will ever have in your life to actually do the things you actually want to do. Why …

Plausible deniability is absolutely important. Look, the thing is, I want to have sex with women, and so I understand that for them sex has to just "happen". Consent is absolutely important. So we're not talking about rape. Let me make this clear that the sex is consensual. Consent is obtained and consent is sexy. But texting a message of "Hey, I like you. Let's fuck tonight at 7pm baby. ;)"... Well, if a BP woman would be charmed by a man doing that, rad. I think you're probably lying though. W…

it's that you will get associated with people who talk like that and they are, for the most part, douchebags This sort of gets into Red Pill theory super hard. Women want men who are considered in their mind high value. Dudes who yell out of their car at women do not have the balls to approach a woman and communicate their intentions. A woman associates this behaviour with a low value human being, and cowardliness as she knows the man could not protect her physically. Because she does not know t…

Have you actually ever been targeted a mob of SRS style Social-Justice Warriors in real life? I've been involved in things where a group I was interacting with was targeted by such individuals. It's not paranoia. It's covering my own ass from those blood thirsty zealots.

That's funny. So you're telling me to run my posts through SRS first before I post so I can feel safe? Uh... sorry, but I'm pretty sure that's a terrible idea since I'd be basically giving them the info to destroy me. The difference between the mod team here, and SRSters is important in this context.

Life isn't "fair". Accepting that is part of the Red Pill. Just as you can't fully know if your posts will be deleted or not, I cannot fully know if SRS will end up taking over Reddit and doxxxing my information for being a Red Piller. Every time I post, I may lose my ability to find a job depending on what the future holds just for holding the opinions that I do. Is that really fair?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/14 07:17 PM

There is never a guarantee to what the future holds. We are all taking the same risk.

You can always run your topic posts through the mod team first before posting them if you are that paranoid. Get feedback from them before you do something which may violate the rules, and you won't need to be paranoid. Instead of guessing try clarifying with them instead. It will be much less emotional for you, as it seems this rule is causing emotional problems for you.

Damn! When it comes to token resistance it seems men do hamster more. Though only American men apparently. This seems to indicate hamstering over LMR is cultural. Definitely a lot of thoughts could be taken from this, but at this point I'd be hamstering myself.

Is it the use of the synonym, "polite" instead of "(not) rude" that makes you think requiring politeness will punish accidental pronoun problems? Yes. The words are different, and have different interpretations and usages. Polite and "not rude" mean very different things. This is exactly the problem. You think the rule can be enforced in such a way that we cannot even give a factual description of something that is true about TRP, because this undisputed reality "not neutral." There's actually a…

I guess what I am asking is. When you give me a description: A gender-bending trans woman was assigned as male at birth, and is a woman who acts "masculine. I want to know how: is a woman Decided on. Like where is this derived from? Biology? Society? Behaviour? I can't understand this at all. Is woman a choice? Is woman something someone else decides for someone. Or A gender-bending cis woman was assigned as female at birth, and is a woman who acts "masculine." the is a woman part again. How doe…

I'm curious. What is the difference between a cis person who bends their gender stereotypes versus a trans person who bends their gender stereotypes? Is it just their identification? I'm just not seeing where there is any difference between the two other than how they choose to identify. If you are able to clarify this for me, I would be able to understand the difference between the two.

Honestly. I'm open to the rules being changed. I certainly do not feel the rules are perfect. But I feel like if the rules were to be changed, they would have to be clear and leave little room for interpretative misuse as a standard.

most women are pretty well balanced I'm not talking about being well balanced. I'm talking about the ability of women to reject social conditioning. Which is actually harder for women to generally do as opposed to a men, because men are socialized in some regards to reject more of their own social conditioning. Additionally, men who can succeed in society while rejecting their conditioning eventually get rewarded by society while women are usually rejected regardless of their level of social suc…

My problem with this essentially is: What is being defined as politeness, and what is being defined as argumentativeness? If the definition on these isn't clear, it would lead to much abuse.

The only correction I'd make is to say it's more than something we are "now experiencing" since women have had to conform to really fucked up and hypocritical societal roles regarding their sexuality for a really long time. Infidelity has existed for a really long time. I'm just a red piller who accepts this how most women will be, and tries to make it work for myself by taking advantage of it.

If they want to have sex, yes. Legitimate LMR is to mean, when the person legitimately wants sex but is avoiding the act. I apologize if my wording did not make this clear.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/14 09:30 PM

Pretty much all legitimate LMR is hamstering. I would be interested in seeing the evidence of LMR, or how this fact was studied to come to the conclusion that men engage in a much higher rate of LMR than women. Is there a source for this?

Because you can define existence as that which only exists within objective reality. So things which are constructs do not actually "exist". This line of thinking is actually taken from when we argued about whether or not "The Patriarchy" existed or not. Considering you are the one who actually explained this to me, I am actually surprised you are telling me this is now non-sensical.

They can. But only if they see me and respect me as a sexual being. In my experience women who are unable to do this have actively sought to sabotage my sexual experiences with others. And if you're sabotaging me, you ain't my friend.

I would not be surprised if many men hamstered more than women did when it came to certain aspects of morality. We have had enough Hitlers in the world who hamstered genocide. However, I believe that many RPers express their hamstering towards women due to sexual morality in particular. Red Pillers aren't really wrong about this, but I think very few have figured out WHY women exhibit high hamstering towards sexual morality. Essentially, the society has given different rules for the sexuality of…

Are you aware that there is already a rule in place against rudeness? You mean: 3) Rude comments will be deleted. No personal attacks and no hate speech. Any of the aforementioned will result in a ban. I didn't realize that accidentally mislabeling someone's gender identity would be considered rudeness. Are you advocating that someone who mislabel's someone else's gender identity should be banned? Deleting rude comments is different than what you're advocating for which is: sincerity, proportion…

Ultimately the legitimacy of this sub requires Red Pillers to debate. If there's no Red Pillers debating, or the only Red Pillers debating are doing so extremely poorly, you're stuck with a circle-jerk that no one is actually going to take seriously, and look at as an extension of TBP. Actually, downvoting can cause problems if you haven't been verified. At least last time I checked it did. Many RPers have had to wait a very long time to reply to a topic simply because they've been downvoted. There were many times I just gave up on the reply I was writing simply because I had stuff to do, and I wasn't going to wait 8 minutes to be able to hit the reply button and have it go through.

Rule number 4 is one of the few things reducing the amount of blue-piller circle jerking. Though not completely removing it. As per your suggestion to replace rule number 4 with "Sincerity, proportional evidence, politeness." These are pretty subjective terms, and I can see these being abused by blue-pillers to stifle debate with red-pillers. Especially politeness. While such ideas seem great at first, it only takes a little while before the debate would become: "You didn't use the correct term …

I wonder myself sometimes. Is all the really terrible stuff done under the guise of feminism the same oppression as always: elites using feminist theory or whatever "noble" ideology (Christianity, Globalization, etc..) of the day to rhetorically oppress an underclass under the guise of equality? Or has feminism appropriated all the ways all people have been oppressed, and claimed to have remedied all their problems including slavery, racism, and transphobia?

how many different things you can take away from the same "ideology". Man, that's the thing. TRP really isn't an ideology or a cult. I think you may be getting a little lost in the words here. Terminate it, cut ties, stop the interaction, whatever term you like...unless it's all just some wacky free-form interaction where you let random chance dictate who you spend your time with, you are imposing expectations by choosing, as you say, to spend time (or not spend time) with people based on the qualities you value. Cynic that I am, I don't see how this departs from the consumer model as you described it. You'd terminate the relationship if the other person stops demonstrating those qualities that you appreciate (sex, support, intellectual exchange), wouldn't you? Expectations don't have to be explicitly stated. See terminate the relationship Nope. That's not how it works. You can't terminate something that doesn't exist. I guess I can't think of a relationship that doesn't. Okay, that's one way to view relationships. A relationship where neither party has any expectations of each other, and only wish to appreciate each other. This is how I structure my relationships. But you singled out women, so you must think they're especially superficial in this regard...incapable of viewing men as anything more than status symbols (like the purse or the dog)? Not necessarily. In law, an idea, even when verbalized, is generally not enough to constitute a crime. A person can say that it would be nice if a building blew up. It is only once that individual has taken some action toward making the idea a reality that a crime occurs. For this reason, many people find it difficult to understand incitement from a legal perspective. Guidelines spelled out in 1969 added three factors: to be subject to restriction, speech must have the intent and the likelihood …

It's a bit more complicated than that. For example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incitement#The_actus_reus The inciter is one who reaches out and seeks to influence the mind of another to commit a crime, although where, for example, a letter conveying the incitement is intercepted, there is only an attempt to incite (see R v Banks (1873) 12 Cox CC 393). So merely making suggestions is not enough. There must be actual communication so that the other person has the opportunity to agree, but the act…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/14 06:41 PM

Except that is not how incitement legally works. Incitement can only be committed when the defendant incites the principal offender where a principal offender is any actor who is primarily responsible for a criminal offense.

The judge who presided over this should be shot. All it takes are a few examples to change a system. Not an actual call to action. Just because someone says something SHOULD happen does not make it incitement. If it happened to me then instead of committing suicide I would do my best to kill the judge, lawyer and wife. I think it's more of a simplistic view on it. I think everyone loves differently. But ultimately love is appreciation. For some reason I think the status-quo idea for behaviour in love is, people have to love each other in the exact same way, in the exact same manner, or else it's not "real" love, or not "legitimate" love. There is no actual instinctual urge in men to want women to have unshaved armpits. Like think for a second. Human beings were fucking for eons before even discovering shaving. I'm sorry, but teachers get away with shit all the time. There are enough teachers who have gotten away with worse. This is in a age before internet was popular enough for random people to raise a ruckus. We'd have teachers swear, abuse their authority, and fights break out in the hallways. It was a shit show.

The example of "dudes with aspergers" always gets brought up but guys with aspergers are the absolute last people who should be getting their advice from TRP. Depends on what advice they pick up on. They should be seeking actual pick-up coaches or game practitioners if they're interested in learning more about social interaction, some of which are on TRP. The guys who get the most out of these kind of methods seem to be the ones who had somewhat of a grasp of social nuance anyway. Or had a teach…

All "game" really is is a way to try and smooth over insecurities associated with asserting oneself by presenting a narrative tailored to making men feel powerful and superior. No. No it's not. Game covers shit like logistics. Like figuring out where to fuck and in what sort of environment is conducive to fucking. How to structure a date so it will likely result in you having sex. In otherwords it gives a structural progression from meeting a girl to having sex with her. This is something that n…

I had a teacher in grade 10 who made it a point to say she would never give a boy a higher mark than a girl. Not a single boy in that class ever got a grade higher than a B. Most of girls consistently got A- to A+, provided they'd hand in their work. She was very proud of herself as a feminist. Second-wave feminism if I were to pin down what views she'd express. She'd often talk about it as part of her class lecture, along with other "facts" like how homosexuality could only happen because of se…

Lonely and neglected? That would be exactly the same fate most RPers face before learning how to use game. My advice is the following: 1) Take some time to fully understand your new reality. This is the same reality that 80% of men face. Your vagina made it so you were so privileged you could not understand what this existence actually is. Reflect on your previous privilege. 2) Learn how to appreciate human beings even though they aren't actually fulfilling your self-serving goals. That dude wit…

The patriarchy doesn't privilege men; the privilege men receive is "the" patriarchy. More simply, privileges received by men as a class is part of the defining features of patriarchy. Again, it's not like there are men in some evil tower handing out privileges to men. I don't understand this at all. The privilege men receive is the patriarchy? It's simply a term used to define observations in which men have been subjectively observed to have an advantage over women? Violence against men is (at l…

I don't understand who is responsible for patriarchal oppression. Also doesn't patriarchy privilege men as a class over women? So violence against men would be the patriarchy backfiring because men are considered less weak than woman? The patriarchy is evidence of oppression towards women, so it backfiring by committing violence against men is due to that oppression towards women. Because women are considered less weak violence against men is okay. So violence against men is due to the oppressio…

Isn't it saying that this is a result of patriarchy though? That same patriarchy that oppresses women. And since men are responsible for the patriarchy, the violence against them is their own fault and evidence of oppression against women.

Alright, clearly I've misunderstood your analogy. TBP would be a subreddit where people who hate, dislike, are indifferent to, stamp collecting gather. Since this is a massive and diverse group with no set beliefs or ideas, there will inevitably be a range of behaviors and attitudes. So then, I can say: TBP is a subreddit that allows for range of behaviours and attitudes some of which include bullying, virgin-shaming, and misandry. And that would be a truthful statement that is correct. You're c…

The philosophy or position of blue pill however is not the same as TBP. Let us take your analogy, and then apply it to TBP. Given that blue pill is stamp collecting. (blue pill = stamp collecting) And Neo-Nazism is bullying. (neo-nazism = bullying) Then TBP would be a stamp collecting subreddit where Neo-Nazi behaviour and attitudes were encouraged and cultivated.

So then you are saying: Yes, TBP is okay with treating people badly and bullying.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/13 08:51 PM

I'm not offended though. I'm trying to figure out if TBP is okay with holding opinions which are hypocritical, and what their justification is for such hypocrisy. The same things that TRP gets slammed for by TBP are the same things TBP proceeds in doing itself. It's one thing to advocate for peace. But you're not looking like Gandhi if you're murdering people in the name of peace.

There was no question of force or harassment here until you invented one. Indeed. Many members of TRP have been so conditioned by patriarchy that they cannot even question the force or harassment that is given to them. Hopefully this will change into the future as we all become more enlightened.

Are you telling me then that you believe it's okay to behave in the same manner as those you condemn provided they've done it first? Also my other questions are not trolling what so ever (nor was the original question as I did not have context). Please answer them. Is TBP is okay with objectifying women, as there is no orthodox set of beliefs? Do you believe that people only be defended when they're right, and offered no protection from abusive harassment and violence when they are wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/13 06:45 PM
4

Given that you do not believe that virgin shaming or fat shaming is okay. Why are you okay with members of TBP using such oppressive and bullying language to describe members of TRP. Does TBP feel that bullying and usage of oppressive and violent language is okay as long as it undermine's someone's credibility?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/13 06:39 PM

You've misunderstood. Individual blue pillers of course believe things but "the blue pill" is not a shared, orthodox set of beliefs. Awesome. That does not change what blue pillers are claiming. We aren't judging beliefs. We are judging the actions of blue pillers. Yes, your old "pray to grow crops" method. If the newest diet craze encouraged maligning other groups of people, justifying their unequal (sometimes violent) treatment at the hands of both society and law, then the same crowd of "blue pillers" who condemn TRP would condemn that diet craze. this all has something to do with TRP [but no explanation is given]. TRP believes that the feminist explanation that men being hurt by women is evidence of the oppression of women because of existing in patriarchal society is incorrect.

Perhaps that's because you have a healthy view of your own sexuality? For some men, their view of their own sexuality is so unhealthy that they believe "standing up for themselves" or "setting boundaries" is the same thing as hating women and causing them emotional distress. Which is why it gets termed "DREAD GAME!!!!" by those same men.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/13 08:40 PM

Dread game is a deliberate strategy of causing your partner to experience anxiety and insecurity over the stability of the relationships, as a means of inducing desired behavioral modifications. Which women then? The women who exhibit this behaviour. Why does hypergamy exist in some women and not in others? A combination of sociological and biological reasons. And besides, according to TRP views, women are biologically wired to be hypergamous. Rad. In regards to "Do the members of TRP believe that sexual choice is motivated by attractiveness?" Here's David D'Angelo giving a seminar on the subject "Attraction Isn't A Choice". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGa9B5c6B10 Incidentally "Attraction Isn't A Choice" is such a repeated line in PUA circles and TRP that it's a meme. Google "Attraction Isn't A Choice", and see what comes up. While there are people in TRP that may believe otherwise, it's not a mainstream Red Pill view.

There's are a lot of different definitions of what is rape and what is not, and there's no consensus. In arguing what counts or what doesn't, people get attacked ad hominem.

Your question is not very clear, as it can be taken to mean that TRP believes that heterosexuality is a choice. In addition, by saying does "TRP believe" you are committing a Reification fallacy. Groups are not capable of beliefs. Only members of groups are capable of belief. This is not a neutral question as it frames that members of a group all have the same beliefs. In addition your original question is actually two questions, not one. Do the members of TRP believe heterosexuality is a choice…

I tend to agree. PPD is pretty much an extension of TBP's circlejerk. Most arguments tend to be semantical, arguments in which TBP takes an opinion of a RPer and present Red Pill beliefs, or straight up dishonest portrayals of RPer's arguments. I feel like the only benefit of posting on PPD is learning how to deal with the rhetorical abuses that BPers and society push in general.

Nope. It's loaded. Does TRP believe that straight men choose heterosexuality because they're too ugly to be gay? Presupposes that TRP believes that heterosexuality is a choice. This is not a neutral question.

This post violates Rule 4 on the side bar. Try to frame your questions with neutral language. "How do you think dogs should be trained?" is a much better way to start a conversation than "Why do you kick puppies?". Give your views in the comments--don't start the thread out by attacking people. Posts that don't strictly adhere to these guidelines will be removed, and could result in the user being banned. They seem to believe the contrapositive is true. No. A post does not equal the beliefs of t…

Life can be depressing. We aren't all born equal, nor do we have equal experiences in life. This is a harsh world, and some people will never have a chance to experience being loved by another. Others simply are not capable of being loved. There is no game to be played for these people. Only unending loneliness. Forever.

Actually it's more of a divide in user base, of which there are a two main camps. 1) Traditionalists looking for marriage (Most new Red Pillers start out as this, and most older Red Pillers) 2) Nihilists looking for ONS and FWB relationships (MGTOW-PUA Hybrids). Additionally, what many RPers come to as a solution is being part of a third camp: 3) Those who have given up on all relationships with women, though may occasionally have sex with prostitutes. (MGTOW-Ghosts)

Yeah. This pretty much happens in any PUA community as well. Bullshitters who are making shit up because they want to be worshipped by other men. They make up impossible stories about the most ridiculous sex while ripping off material verbatim (as in stealing their actual stories from other people and claiming that they were the person who was in the story), and lie lie lie lie lie. I hate it too. It doesn't serve a Red Pill purpose at all. It's that the Red Pill attracts a whole lot of dudes ar…

I still wouldn't be wrong saying that The Red Pill has a misogynistic streak. It really depends on what your definition of streak is.

I think part of the problem is how feminists narrowly define what societal power is, while ignoring any of the societal power women do have as power.

I haven't misunderstood intersectionality, oppressive structures do not exist in a vacuum. Maleness cannot be looked at as just maleness without also looking at other class traits. Black men did not have the same privilege over women as white men did. Nor do poor men have the same privilege as rich men. Their maleness is defined not just by their sex, but also a combination of other classes. They are young, white, educated males from middle to upper class incomes. Compared to the members of TBP,…

Depends if you understand intersectionality theory or not. Just being a man doesn't mean you have power. You have to take into account all of that person's classes and privileges, and the men of TRP are clearly not the men with power. Bigotry requires power + prejudice.

Because TRP gives men a chance to finally deal with their emotions and express them without restraint to other men who are also dealing with similar emotions so that they can know, they are not alone. Many of these men could not express these emotions anywhere in public, TRP lets them experience that expression and let them come to terms with who they are as an emotional being.

The Red Pill is admittedly a work in progress still going through the growing pains of having a coherent theory. Lots of theories are still being proposed. Some admittedly worse than others. Just like any conceptual theory. The thing is, a faulty framework can still produce results. We may not know exactly why what we are doing is producing the results we get, however we witness an effect, and we hypothesize on the cause. We can only discover through further experimentation if these theories cou…

Yes. That's an opinion. So you're asking TRP to debate your opinion? My opinion is, TRP works. There have definitely been weirder concepts that have worked to change the lives of people. At times it may be crude, rude, and unapologetic, but so is life. Just as every Red Piller comes to realize, you just gotta deal with it and push forward despite all the shit.

It doesn't really make sense to say for "evidence" or "proof" that the Red Pill works. The Red Pill is simply a concept made up of empirical observations. Concepts aren't supported by evidence or "true" in any objective way - they are simply useful descriptions to base our framework of knowledge on to. Asking people to prove that The Red Pill works is like asking for proof that the concept of "The Patriarchy" oppresses. It's a definition of a set of observations that we find useful in seduction …

How do you figure? We can quantify the number of Congressmen by gender too, and this is another quick example where feminists see structural inequality. This argument is unsound. Yes there are more male congressmen. This does not indicate that it's conceptual structure is unequal however. Every person has the equal right to run for congress. The laws behind the conceptual structure do not restrict on sex, gender, or race. Just because the majority of a profession are male does not mean it is the…

It is not discrimination based on gender. It is the result of legal discrimination based on sex. Semantics absolutely. This is similar to saying laws that restricted same-sex marriage laws did not discriminate against gay people because they were free to marry anyone whom they chose, provided they were of the opposite sex. Yes transgender men, and intersex individuals exist. The sex of the transgender man is still female. Someone who is intersex is not male. The future possibility of technology …
