Good luck brotha. Stick with it. Lifting was the best thing I ever decided to stick to.

I'd recommend reading the wiki on the fitness page on reddit. Pick a program there based on your goals. 5x5 is fine but is only 3x a week. When I was starting out it was annoying not going to the gym the other 4 days of the week.

They're going up. Feeling stronger, feeling bigger. I am running a bodybuilding split with strength and hypertrophy phases. In the strength phase now, lifts are going up. Also total volume in my hypertrophy phases are going up.

Yeah so I started at 144lb. The first couple of weeks I shot up to around 148. So Im assuming I gained like 3-4 lb of water weight. Since then, I am up to 153lb in 6 weeks, which comes out to 6lb in 6 weeks. I can probably gain slower, so I'll taper back the cals. But more concerned with the fat gains that will inevitably come with this and mentally dealing with them...

Probably any hobbies that involve making money or furthering your career, but you know that. Learning guitar, dancing, etc will improve who you are as a person because it offers you new experiences and new viewpoints on life. Learning a note for playing the guitar might offer you a new perspective on how to learn/accomplish something, which you can then translate to your career, personal life, etc. In short, any new experiences you offer yourself in the form of a hobby will likely enhance your l…

lmao bro this guy definitely lifts. thats what happens when you get up above 15% bf. you start looking small af. if this guy cut to 10-12% he'd look huge.

We all feel like this from time to time man. Even the most alpha guys out there get down. The way to really deal with it IMO is to just accept that some days you're gonna feel fucking euphoric, and others you're going to feel down. Nothing you can do about it. What you can do is keep moving forward. Keep chasing your purpose. Keep setting and achieving goals. Keep meeting new people, all through both the good and bad times of life.

fucking phenomenal read. but as someone above mentioned, you can read all you want, and youll never make it. the way to really do it is reading, picking a few things from a section or two of the reading, and applying it in real life.

Yeah you can lose about 2% bf per month if you're strict enough / are in a large enough caloric deficit. I def pushed the envelope a bit and lost more muscle than I'd like to, but it's worth it now. For reference, I cut for 3.5 months, bulked for 3, and cut another 3 months. Also I only weighed 167lb when I started, which means that I lost about 28lb of fat in 10 months (17% of my weight). If I weighed 240, then 17% bf lost would translate to around 40lb in 40 weeks (10 months).

I was 167lb, 28% bodyfat. Recomped to 144lb and 11% bf over 10 months. I'm still small. But girls have definitely been giving me more looks and have complimented me on how much better I look. I started lifting to look good, and I do look better now. But I've kept lifting because it makes me feel good, SMV increase or not. Going into a lean bulk now to put on size, which will not be ideal for my SMV in the short term as I'll put on some fat, but it's part of the process. I've stopped lifting for …

Yeah this. If you're posting this on TRP I'm fairly certain you're interested in attracting females. Most girls will like a leaner guy. If I were you I'd cut to 12-13% and then bulk up to 17-18% and back down just like this guy mentioned.

Is one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the US extinct of hot females? Do you actually need to ask this question lmao.

No shit they'd prefer a bigger, leaner guy. Doesnt mean some girls dont also love a leaner frame. Willing to bet that the majority of women like a leaner, smaller build than a guy 180+ and 20% bf. Either way, it doesnt matter. Not like I've chosen this as my end goal physique. It's just a temporary stopgap as I build my goal physique. The goal for me is 160-170lb and 10% bf. Just so happened I started my journey 8 months ago at 30% bodyfat. Rome wasnt built in a day. I merely brought it up to sh…

70k a year isnt bad. All relative to the area in which you live, but 70k at 24 is fine. 152lb is light but focus on your BF % and body comp, not weight. I used to be 5'9" and 170, but around 30% bf. I'm 149lb not but close to 11% bf and chicks are loving it.

If you want a girlfriend for validation then you have more work to do. You should be OK with who you are currently and be OK with yourself before wanting (or needing, I should say for your case) a girlfriend. Getting into an LTR for validation is a terrible idea man.

I think a bad mindset to have is "I'm swallowing TRP to get girls." Its more of a "I'm swallowing TRP to become a better person." Improve your life, learn more, grow more, be on your purpose, and the fruits of all of that (girls, success, etc) will likely just be the side effects of it all. If you're trying to be red pilled just for chicks, I think you'll be disappointed. Learn game and PUA if your only real goal is to get girls.

I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine but I find if I take pre at like 5pm I'm ok. If its 630-7 ish, I'll take 1/4 scoop. If you work out hard enough you should be tired enough to sleep.

While there is merit to bulking up right now, I do believe in getting lean before bulking. At 10% bodyfat, nutrient partitioning is much better, meaning better muscle gains. That and you stay sub 15% (which is relatively lean still) all bulk long if you lean bulk properly and controlled. You can ultimately alternate in between 8-15% between cutting and bulking phases, staying lean forever while building a great physique. That and bitches like a leaner build, even if your skinnier. So in both the…

Yeah so lemme give you some anecdotal advice. If you cut, cut all out. If you lean bulk, lean bulk all out. That's the point of cutting/bulking cycles. You need to commit to them until the end. You cut until you're 10% bodyfat, lean bulk until you're 15-18% bodyfat (depending on how much fat you can mentally handle carrying). At first, if you start with a cut, at the end of it you'll look like a skinny piece of shit. If you start with a lean bulk, you'll look like a fat piece of shit. Either way…

Not much research out on it but look at guys like David Laid and Dylan McKenna. Pretty sure I've read somewhere that they're in SARMs. Also Ryan Casey was on SARMs. Def can get you strong af but they are risky due to little to no research being public. They're still testing SARMs. If I were to take something I'd probably flirt with the idea of a low dose of test instead.

Seems like you have bigger personality issues that inhibit your ability to enjoy the fruitful rewards of your labor (i.e. 315 bench and abs). Work on being a little more optimistic and proud of yourself, champ.

If I were back in college, I'd dish the meal plan and cook everything on my own. That way I knew exactly what I'd eat. If that's not an option (no kitchen, school forces the meal plan, etc) then focus on eyeballing when you're in the cafeteria eating, and tracking everything outside of that. Ex, you have a bar for breakfast, and a chipotle bowl post workout, all before dinner. Track that shit. Let's say you have another 50g protein, 50g carb, and 15g fat left after that. Go to the cafeteria for …

Not really sure the point of this question. You're trying to find an excuse between lifting and being beta and diving into TRP and not lifting. Why not lift and read TRP? For curiosity's sake, yeah, lifting as a beta is probably better in most scenarios than not lifting and being TRP in my opinion. But it generally depends on your level at each. A man very deep into TRP and who is very alpha can pull more chicks and be more successful in life in general than some beta dude with some abs.

This is why I love lifting. Because others cant be discipline enough to do it. Lifting and building a great physique after 3-4 years of consistent work and effort immediately puts you into the top 5% of men physically. Honestly I hope you do not develop the urgency to go to the gym. Allow me and the other guys here to progress over you. Stay lazy bud.

You're still 19 man. And if you truly do have a great physique, and have worked for it for years, you're already ahead of most people your age. Find a new Avenue to explore and excel at it like you did lifting. Use the experiences you had while building a great physique to set and conquer new goals. Again, you're young. It's great that you're thinking about what is next as it shows you're ambitious. Decide on a new path and crush it man. Make it your mission.

I dont think they are genuinely attracted to them or anything. She can just take advantage of said beta Male while fucking other dudes behind his back. She occasionally let's him fuck her in exchange for his money and resources.

This. Once you have a goal/mission (short term and/or long term) that you're 100% committed to, nothing else really matters outside of those goals, it's all extra. For example, a short term mission for me is to get to 10% body fat. Whilst achieving this goal, if I fuck some chicks here or there, great. If not, it doesnt change the fact that I'm still on my way to 10% body fat still. I'm outcome independent when talking to girls because they have zero impact on my goals and on the progression of …

Pick a goal in life and go after it, regardless of anyone or anything in life. As cliche as it sounds, you've got one life bro. Go after what you want, regardless of how challenging or hard it may seem, or how others will perceive those goals. Achieving challenging goals is what makes life meaningful.

I'm on a cut now and am struggling with the same thing. It's hard to keep strength up. Here's the thing though: If you can keep strength the same by the time your cut is over, you've actually gained relative strength because your bodyweight has decreased. So maybe your lifts stay the same or go down slightly. But it is very likely your relative strength goes up. If you can deadlift 315 at the beginning of your cut and can deadlift 315 at the end, only this time you're 15lbs lighter, you've gaine…

Do yourself a favor and start lifting now. Fuck man if I started lifting when I was 16 I'd be so big. Not only will you change physically after a long period of hard work, but you lay the foundation of what it means to be an alpha male: dedication and discipline.

So you started at the bottom and now you're at 30 numbers, 4 dates, 20lbs gained, you're going to the gym consistently, and you're making efforts to improve your SMV like getting braces? Sounds like you're on the right path dude. Just keep going. Keep focusing on the process and not the end results my man. Outcome independence is really important.

My schools frat life wasnt that sick, so I didn't join one. I also played a sport so I stuck with that. At bigger schools though, I'd recommend joining a frat. Your grades wont tank unless you make them tank. You're still responsible for grades and shit. Frat life allots you a lot of opportunities to hook up with the hotter population of girls at your school and gives you a good group of bros to kick it with

An extra 1300 doesnt sound like a refeed but yeah, either way it's good to give your body some extra calories during a cut here and there. If it doesnt work, do more cardio or lower your intake man. It's all calories in and calories out. Curious though what's your bf %? If you're already at 10-12%, I dont think you should go lower man
/r/askTRP11/01/19 12:30 AM
3

If you've plateaued throw a refeed day in. But yeah if not it's likely just that your TDEE has gone down. It sucks but you either need to add another cardio session in daily or eat less or some combo of the two. As long as you keep lifting and aren't in a huge deficit and are getting enough protein daily you shouldn't lose much muscle
/r/askTRP10/01/19 11:49 PM
2

The past is stuck with you forever. But just use it as a reminder for where you've come from. No need to feel bad about it. It should be inspiring to know you've grown from the past. Always remember where you've come from. Use it as a reminder that you can dig yourself out of any hole you end up in life.
/r/askTRP10/01/19 11:39 PM
1

Hes right. You don't HAVE to bulk and cut. It's just more efficient in accomplishing a goal in a short period of time. If you cut, you'll only cut for 3-5 months. If you bulk, you'll prob only need to bulk for 6-8 months. If you just "dial in your nutrition" you'll likely see results but to see the same significant differences in a physique that you would post bulk or cut it would take at least a year
/r/askTRP10/01/19 11:36 PM
2

Yeah I appreciate the comment. When I originally started lifting it was for girls. Now it's because I told myself I want to eventually be 155lb and 10% body fat so I'm gonna go get it. It's my mission right now
/r/askTRP08/01/19 11:38 PM
1

Yeah. I usually focus on the same. Girls notice good vibes. If you're relatively good looking and aren't in a closed group, girls will begin flocking over and throw you some IOIs
/r/askTRP08/01/19 12:12 PM

Yeah long term I'll be both. It's just short term I want to cut so I was curious.
/r/askTRP07/01/19 10:57 PM

It's hard. But change your statement then. You say you want fuck you money and are willing to work hard for it. Clearly not. Look man anything in life that is your "calling" eventually turns into hard work eventually. Get used to it
/r/askTRP07/01/19 01:47 PM
4

You say you're willing to work hard for fuck you money but then turn away from medicine because it's not your calling? Even if medicine could yield you fuck you money? I say you're not willing to put in the hard yards for fuck you money. If your parents are connected enough in the medical industry, and have been successful themselves, then you should continue pushing through and become a doctor yourself.
/r/askTRP07/01/19 01:13 PM

That's the plan. I wanna stay between 10-15% between cutting and bulking cycles.

Yeah I have. I'm not really into the recomping stuff. Sure it can work but it takes a longer time to see results. I'm sticking with bulking/cutting cycles for now.

Like I said, long term I plan on being both. But I'm going into a cutting phase for the short term as I think 18% body fat is a little too high when I comes to attracting women unless you're huge. Gonna cut to 10% or so and then start adding some muscle
/r/askTRP07/01/19 01:05 AM

Realize you're not them and you're your own person with your own goals and your own upbringing. Their background may have been traumatic and that's what led them to being able to push for a life of success. There are also tons of people with no opportunities who are still in much shittier situations than you. Just be grateful for what you have been given and make the most out of your opportunities now moving forward. The only comparison you need to make is to yourself on the daily my man.
