You do have kids. So I think your number 1 question you need to ask yourself is what does the future of those kids with regard to you look like? Are you committed to them, are they your legacy, are you putting your best effort into them? If yes, put a ring on it. Enjoy your time together and be realistic about how things may change over the years and make the best of it. And come over the MRP... Have a prenup. Don't be a chump. Everyone should have a prenup, even if it is basically a single sent…

Point out he's no good to you dead. He needs to REST. Vitamins can help boost the immune system some, no magic cure but can't hurt; You have to drink LOTS of water with it and start taking it as soon as you start to feel sick. Gatorade is good too. L-Lysine ~ 1,000mg three times a day Vitamin A ~ 25,000IU two times a day (She suggests "A Plus with Beta Carotene" from a company called Cardiovascular Research Ltd, but I don't know if the supplier really matters. I always use her supplier, though.)…

You have better things to worry about. But I'll just point out healthy boundaries and some amount of privacy are part of a relationship.

Frame and treating people like children in particular is a human thing, and men who think it only applies in the male TRP sense are fooling themselves.

It's a shame there isn't a little more mature leadership in there. MRP is much better in this regard.

I've been banned from TRP for years. I believe what got me out was that I pointed out one particularly misogynist whiner was probably just being a huge asshole. It was a sales guy ranting that *every* time he had to deal with a woman things went sideways. Like, duh, what's the commonality to the pattern here? There are definitely guys using RP principles to justify their weak ass selves.

Strongly advise you and your husband seek some counseling. There are couples who specialize in this and other places you can look. It is real trauma, it does benefit from talking it out.

Here's the dirty little secret IMHO; everyone is a 'child' from this perspective. All this tenet of RP does it give men a frame to think about it from. They're just as able to be childish in their drives and decision making and reactions as women are. (Arguably a male left to their own devices is more so... hence all the shit we do historically around little boys to toughen them up. There is a LOT of immature bullshit in the RP community, and most of them cannot take what they dish out. They can…

The dude is very much not RP, a little weird that his lady is posting here. Sounds like he needs a wake up call. Dude needs some sunlight and some lifting at the very least, and should maybe take a month off from playing games. Or are you just looking or permission to move on? You don't need it. But you do need to decide what you want. You're still young, you have options.

You are pretty and your outfits are nice, but I could see some men taking it as a signal to keep off because you aren't into men? I like the suggestion of doing some experiments. Wearing dress and heels out and just seeing how it feels, you'll know if you're getting different attention. Then you can decide what to try next.

There are faithful men, and there are unfaithful men. I have no idea how much of it is nature vs nurture. It does seem to run in families. I am very faithful. I had opportunity multiple times while married to my first wife and did not take it. It was a hard switch in me, I didn't even have to think about it. But, once I had determined the relationship was over and that I was ending it I had no problem spending time with other women, switch thrown. Now that I'm in a committed relationship again t…

Yep, "macho" is insecure. It makes me nuts when people perceive some of these guys as manly or alpha when they are clearly incompetent and insecure little shits. Not to get political but Trump *always* seemed like a ridiculous put on to me, even 20 years ago, it amazes me that there are still people who can't see through that act.

In the midwestern US you can get one cheap at Menards. Like 8 bucks at the moment, look for 6-in-1 Server Set. In general though I think the one made by Anchor Hocking is the mental image most people have, cheap like $10 at Walmart. We've got one that lives on the counter and we generally try to keep it full of cookies since we mostly do cakes for birthdays (which there are plenty of in our household).

We were poorly matched from the start and too young to know better. Over time it became apparent that she had an untreatable personality disorder, it became worse with age and a liability as our children got older. It was fine when they were little but when they became their own people it wasn't good. The age difference really didn't enter into it as far as that goes.

My ex wife and I were 27 months apart. This was fine when I was 20, but it was clearly going to be a bigger and bigger issue as we aged. My spouse now is 5 years younger and this feels a lot better. Logically it seems like bullshit and unfair, but experience lived is different. It has to increase the difficulty level for you in maintaining your health and appearance vs. his just due to societal norms being so different for men and women. I tend to think there is a sort of 'pendulum swing' to social change and this is a reasonable example of it. A problem is identified, people wake up to it being a problem, behavior changes in an opposite direction are pushed/expected/needed. That opposite direction move may prove to be too much... but perhaps without over-shooting the best place to be you can't find that middle ground. Since the level of inequality of women was so great, and for so long, the push in the other direction will natu…

20% seems high. The AWALT nonsense is a defining aspect of RP 'theory' conversation that unfortunately casts much of what is talked about in RP questionable. A lot of the belief system around this sort of behavior exists in a deep hole of confirmation bias, and excuses when they are rightly nexted.

Ok well here is my advice. I'm a guy. There is nothing in RP that involves verbally abusing a woman you plan to LTR. Period. So either he has issues that are a problem, or you are not an LTR. If you are ok with that fine, if you are not, you know what to do.

Keep it simple. First step is to gain some muscle mass and you can do that with about 5 minutes effort before bed and a slight shift in diet. Do this with the heaviest weight you can manage and keep increasing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIrcxSkwui8 You can do that with a barbell in your bedroom. And make some protein to take with you to work. Hardboiled eggs, chicken breast, whatever. Simple and additive so you have something to build off of. Adding some muscle first will make anything …

Hard to know without seeing him in action. If you guys take a month off drinking successfully that will tell you a lot. You might also want to look for articles that have been around that talk about "what happened when I stopped drinking" etc. BTW I'm someone who is totally in the same boat. The "not getting drunk" part is a huge red flag though. People who can drink and not appear to have had a drink have a high tolerance that goes hand in hand with dependency. I've seen it many times, including a friend who died of it in his mid 30s.

The amount of alcohol your guy is consuming seems to be greater, and with more frequency. The fact that he needs it to sleep is very troubling. I think OP is also in trouble, but he doesn't sound dependent. In both cases there is enough of a pattern going on that professional advice wouldn't hurt.

A good policy a lot of my heavier drinking friends follow is to take a month off every year. It gives your liver a break and it lets you prove to yourself and others that you CAN. Also WRT hangovers, try drinking wines from europe only for awhile and see if it makes a difference. We switched to only non-US wines and no more hangovers. Odd I know.

Well there you go, you aren't even able to grasp what I'm talking about. EQ is not IQ. Secondly we have data, hard facts on IQ, and your statement about that is wrong. IQ is a bell curve for both sexes, it is much wider for men than for women so the 'average' is the same but a randomly picked man/woman pairing can go either way and the smartest and dumbest parts of the population are all men. So, your odds of a given random woman being of average intelligence is very high, and lower for a man. T…

Does the simple obvious factor that sales guys have a stereotypical reputation not occur to you? He was coercive, and she didn't have representation. Either you have to both work with a lawyer together or you have to both be represented. If you want your prenup to stick you have to do it right. Of course this was almost 20 years ago, and we have the benefit of additional case law that helps us know how to do it best.

One could argue there are two flavors of 'alpha'. The "love em and leave em" type and the "work it til you find the right situation" type. They are both strategies that cause the succeeding generation to repeat the behavior. But I would argue the latter will be more successful in all other categories besides reproduction.

Tempest has hit in on the head; when you were a casual relationship it wasn't a big deal, but now that he's thinking you have serious LTR potential it is messing with his head. My thought is the 'lance the boil'. Sit him down and walk through every male you've ever had anything to do with. Lay it all out there. He has to get it into his head that he measures up, and the way you do that is by putting him into context. Those things happened, they happened before he existed for you, and now he does…

"granted with lower amounts of circulating testosterone, women do not get aroused as often as men" Uhh that's utter bullshit. Just because the culture tells you that along with the other crap it sells doesn't mean it is true. Historically at times Women have been considered to be the instigators. The guy controls the commitment, and if he doesn't have feelings of love for you after six months he's not going to have them ever. That's no basis for an LTR. As I just talked about over on TRP, in general men feel emotion more deeply than women (or at least have more difficulty controlling it naturally), which is the opposite of what our culture tells us but is obvious if you observe kids for awhile. Maybe he's lying to you or himself, but especially if that is the case there is a lack of self…

Our society is kind of weird about gender roles when it comes to sex and emotion. 'Machisimo' exists because men feel emotion more deeply. Little boys and girls make this obvious, little boys are annoying whiners so we push them to toughen them up because it is so fucking annoying. TRP at its heart recognizes that there are real gender differences in how we are wired. They are not absolutes of course; everything and everyone exists on a spectrum. On average though this is the case, and men getti…

It's funny, the variety of ages and levels of experience in here in life, in being a man, in being a man with a LTR and a family... the angsty kids and inexperienced people benefit from a place to go and learn how to literally man up, but in doing so they have to get over this hump of ignorance that often spews out as misogynistic bullshit. Maybe it points to a basic problem we should be addressing. Vague in my mind as I'm just thinking of it but maybe we need to tease out the different threads.…

I hang out here and in TRP and find more value here, or at least a better signal/noise ratio, because of the hate some of the guys spew over there. It is pretty ironic to me that they complain about feminist man hating (which is toxic garbage yes, but...) then they spew hate to all women in the same breath. There is a lot of immaturity there and fatal lack of perspective. I guess that is to be expected of guys in their low 20s or who just don't have any wisdom yet, but it is not cool.

If he isn't taking the time and care to make sure you are having a great orgasm (or three!) then he's not doing his part honestly. It may be ignorance. Unfortunately most of the books that are recommended around here (She comes first, Sex god method) are problematic in various ways, but perhaps they are a start to waking him up if simple lack of awareness is the problem. Make sure when he's doing something you like you give good verbal cues, and when he isn't don't fake it.

I had to reprogram myself a bit to give my lady what she wanted. The very idea of grabbing her head, or worse her throat, seemed insane to me, let alone spanking, holding her wrists, etc. Having been raised in our culture of treating women completely as equals this had also leaked into sex and how to treat/touch each other in bed and doing anything overtly aggressive like that was unthinkable.
