This and I'll add, if you want to be involved with her when she reaches school age, you'll want some time during the week just to check in, be aware of her grades and school habits; know about that part of her life which may not really come up on the weekend.

You are in mourning over your relationship. I was there for about a year. I needed a therapist to help me along and it worked, over time. Your pace will be your pace, but as someone else said, it is temporary. Please believe that. Keep coming back here for perspective and support. I haven't interacted much, but I took a lot away from this sub. Be as hurt as you need, but pls come back and share when you're better as well.

I leave Mother's Day up to my daughter. I ask her if she wants to get her mom anything, I will support her. She's 10 so she forgets. There's no school to remind her of Fathers Day and her mother has seen fit to not help her remember for the last 3 years, so I let it go. It doesn't feel great, but my hope is that she will grow to recognize the day on her own accord.

Again, nice in theory. I love gaming, (board and video) but i typically can't stand the people I meet at stores/ meetups. So... off to bars (I like drinking), where I get bored out of my mind talking endlessly about sports (which I tolerate at best). Self inflicted wound are the worst, lol.

Hate to admit this but ALL of this is a valid point that you should heed.

Share your stories here. I can't explain or quantify it. It helps others!

Copy that. While I have a good rapport with my lawyer, you're right. As she gets paid every 15 minutes we talk I will be mindful not to be wasteful.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
