I don’t think it’s a daily thing, but I don’t know and I don’t want to violate his privacy looking through his phone, my guess would be once or twice a week but, like I said, I don’t really know.

Thank you for your advice, I know that you are right, I won’t just ignore it or pretend it doesn’t bother me, and I intend to have a (calm, collected) conversation with him about it soon. That said, i’m not going to nag him or harass him about it either, I know it’s not something I have much control over. I’m glad that you and your husband have that agreement, it gives me some hope that i’m not being unreasonable here. I’ll update later on with how the conversation goes.

thank you, your advice and that article were very helpful, especially for helping me to feel less guilty about it having something to do with me. I will probably bring it up sometime today or tomorrow and have the conversation with him. I do hope that this is an issue we can resolve, I think he will definitely be open to at least trying to stop.

Yeah, i think some friends would be a good place to start, i do socialize as much as I can through work and family, i love chatting with the customers and my coworkers. I love to hike and garden a lot, and I love animals and kids, I don’t even feel insecure most of the time if i’m busy with something like that. It’s funny that you mention not dwelling on physical flaws, I remember one day I cried to my mom about how much I hate how some of my features look and she went “really? what’s wrong with…

i think i have no friends because i’m very introverted and spend most of my time at work or home. my hobbies don’t involve socializing, I like to paint, hike, and garden. I don’t even know where I would go to make friends, honestly. Maybe I could take a yoga class or something?

i don’t blame you at all. it’s good to have high (but reasonable) expectations in a man, i wouldn’t be willing to settle for a man with low or no work ethic, because as a man it’s his responsibility to be a hard worker and provide for the family, if he has no work ethic he’s not going to be a good provider. aside from that, i think it can be a symptom of immorality if a person is unwilling to put in the hard work life takes, male or female, as it shows lack of character. ultimately, it’s up to y…

Four months of dating but how long were yall friends before? In my experience, a man has work ethic and masculinity or he doesn’t, it usually takes no more than a week (and honestly, that’s pushing it in my opinion) of knowing a guy to figure out which he is. I would advise you to break up with him and start the search again, whilst also focusing on being as feminine as possible for yourself. You seem to see femininity as being related to independence, but that doesn’t have to be the case; focus…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
