I lost a ton of money in the process, I have made it back since then. It took a few years. But I would do it all over again because i have been the happiest I have ever been in my life. Money is definitely not everything.

Oh I could see this going this way for me as well. There was practically a shakedown just in the MSC, it was a joke. They constantly used scare tactics to get me to back down and take the shitty offer that was on the table. The family court system is officially broken. unfortunately, and on the backs of people trying to better their lives by getting out of toxic relationships.

That's a great story, I'm glad that the wind was in your sails that day. Luckily this case has no custody issues, its just division of assets. The MSC to me was exactly what we have been trying to do via settlement letters and talking back and forth. I feel that this particular day was just a waste of time for our particular case. Thanks Chip512, Yea, I wish there was a mediator, instead they brought in some attorney that has practicing law for 30 years. Now my faith in the legal system has completely diminished and im tempted to take her sad ridiculously low offer to just to avoid this disgust in future trial dates. Im trying not to let the MSC derail me, I hope others that have experience with the MSC in california could chime in let me know their experiences. And should i put much weight on this particular day, or just…

Good for you man! Im nearing the end of my divorce and couldn't be happier. I feel like my soul has been set free. Even my family has noticed that I shine a whole lot brighter these days. Glad to hear your killing it!

Hey Bud, I am going through the EXACT situation as we speak. I have been fighting this for about a year and half. To be honest, I have spent 7k and gotten nowhere. but this might be my situation and situations can vary..... My wife dug her heels in and refused to accept any reasonable settlement offer I send her. The equity in the house exploded, and on paper im owed 50% of that which is around 80k. but.. the maddening process of divorce and uncooperative opposite parties is having me lean towar…
