Don't even interact with the ones that you think could be trouble and consider whether you can adjust your surroundings. If you don't want the hassle consider not outright rejecting them but rather just being distant in a more subtle way.

Well played on reading in between the lines there. Seems obvious now. OP I hope this isn't true but probably worth looking at what happens whilst you're away.

I think the trick is to not technically legally own or earn anything and for this to be done prior to marriage. Obviously effectiveness will vary based on your jurisdiction but the UK for example has trusts. Put all your assets under that, for earnings maybe you have a company, also put that under the trust and keep earnings within the company. We see the wealthy go through divorces all the time and I wondered how on earth are they not getting totally rekt from this and it's probably because the…

Finasteride can cause it. It's medication that can halt balding somewhat.

I've recently come to a realisation that it doesn't matter whether you raise a family or not we will all eventually be alone. For example my father has an old family friend let's call him Bob. Bob had a wife and 2 kids. The kids are now grown up and the wife sadly passed away. Bob is now pretty much alone. Sure he might get a visit here and there from his adult kids but that doesn't change things much. He is now alone in his big house on a day to day basis. Picture a perfect family and even in t…

UK women are very standoffish. The difference is night and day when you visit other non-western countries.

It wasn't a coincidence that you said what you said. Your intuition is your higher self that operates outside of time. Interjections like this come at critical times of our life. Research near death experiences and you'll find thousands of accounts that claim on a first hand basis that there is more to this life. These are people that have had serious near death incidents themselves many which were clinically dead under medical supervision who've had respected careers themselves like surgeons so…

This comes across as planned. She wants half your stuff and the child support payments. I wont be surprised if she repeats the same scam a year or two down the road with someone else.

It's common sense when you think about it: Take Maria. Average looking women. If she posts her profile on a dating site she'll get hundreds of likes and match easily within 24 hours. Take average Joe smith. Nothing special about this guy but he has a decent job and isn't overweight. In 24 hours he might get 1 like if he's lucky. The opportunity presented to be unfaithful is going to be bombarded for women, not men.

Honestly it just sounds like she wanted a number 2 to help her with the bills and kids. I guess just another reason not to date single mothers. It's sad to see but if they can solve a lot of problems just by marrying a stable guy they can tolerate living with then they'll do that.

If you're on a date ask her if she considers herself a feminist. They almost always say yes. Then when it comes to paying cover your half and remind her that's she's a feminist and can pay her way. They can't have their cake and eat it. Then they might have the audacity to say: "You asked ME out" Me: "So every time your friends invite you out they pay for everything? Yeah right🙄"

They hook up with bad boy players and wonder why they got hurt. They think he would be different with them🙄 The "I hate men" call should always be responded with a question about why they hate their father, grand father, brothers and uncles.

That is beyond messed up. Men need to fight for better protections against legislation open to abuse like this.

Would you ever bring your woman back to the US though? Environment plays a factor and I can't help but think bringing them back to the US over time as they make friends, get exposed to US attitudes will contribute to a change in their behaviours.

Marriage only makes sense for broke people that have nothing to lose. In my country prenups don't mean anything either.

Some people just cant manage their time well when they're in a relationship. I've seen this all the way back when they're teenagers. It's pretty weird and kinda sad that these people are willing to throw their friendships under the bus for some partner. Obviously when its over they come crawling back acting like nothing ever happened. It's an immature thing to do and also suggests a rather toxic relationship with their partner that's bound to fall to bits. Call it like it is: telling them to sto…

The older I get the more I learn to appreciate religious god fearing women. It keeps their morals and actions in check.

I don't think we can let ourselves get too emotionally involved to the modern woman these days. Go into this with the expectation of failure. Assume they are going to let you down and if they don't then it's a pleasant surprise I guess. I think part of the anger comes from all the effort and investment people put into relationships. Dial that back so that it's not as painfull. It's more work anyway.

They're focused on money because they know there's simps out there that will give them everything. The men that do this are the ones that are making it worse for the rest of us.

There's one thing I know would be better for sure is my love life. I'm too ashamed to go deeper into it but yeah my situation is just ridiculous at this point.

Women want to marry but don't want to be wives. In a world where a lot of people are not religious there's no god fearing to keep both together no matter what in order to get through the tough times. To top it off women are usually financially rewarded for triggering a divorce. Marriage just doesn't make much sense in today's society.

Pay and you'll be setting a precedent for the entire relationship that you're her personal piggy bank. For those that pay they only have themselves to blame. Also I bet she considers herself a feminist. Equality for thee but only when it works in her favour 😅

40% more than I do, has had employer matching options the whole time, and came out of college with less student loan debt than I did. So she has been able to save considerably more for retirement than I have. This explains why she doesn't want lawyers involved. Her view is that she has contributed more financially to our household over the 17 years we've been together so we should just keep "what's ours" Most men have this take when they're the primary earner but still get rinsed regardless. You…

At my company we recently opened up a role. The internal recruiter does the shortlisting for us and I noticed that all of the candidates being shortlisted for the 2 roles we opened were women. Turns out the company has some push for 'diversity'. The approach is just wrong, candidates should be hired based on their skills & experience NOT their gender!

I have no problem, Maybe, living with somebody for decades? Consider yourself lucky you don't live in say Austrailia where partners cohabiting with eachother can have legal rights and obligations similar to those of married couples.

Just confirms my thinking that western women just want park themselves at the finishing line of a race to reap all the rewards that came from finishing 1st but avoid the tireless work that was put into becoming a winner. Then they complain about being objectified and being viewed as a prize when they're the ones that parked themselves at that finishing line instead of bringing their standards down to earth enough for a decent hard working man to get a chance.

It's not going to work out obviously. Financial expectations are misaligned and that's a pretty big issue.

I'm basically you it seems. Basically I've been focused on FIRE for the past 10 years. I'd really like to move out but it needs to make sense. I want my next job to be fully remote so that I don't need to reside near an expensive city and so I can buy a decent property that could one day raise a family. Living with family trashes the lovelife though. At 30+ the stigma becomes real and at the face of things women (without telling them directly about your net worth) they will not see you as succes…
