I recommned you not get the government involved in your marital life. If you have to, marry the person without getting the license and make sure you are not in a common law state. People do change and you can change to.0 If your partner flat out refuse Prenup without seeing the content of it, you now know if they want you or they want the option to be able to rob you in the future.

Consider changing lawyer and find another aggressive lawyer. Preferably check for reference before selecting the new lawyer and ask as many questions you have in mind before paying.

I think you need to consult with an attorney. They may be able to counsel you based on your situation and the jurisdiction laws that you reside in. I would make sure everything that is split is notarized and signed. No room for getting screwed over by the separating partner in the future. Am wondering, why are u guys breaking up?

This is the problem with reddit. You hear a story and you don't know the full context and you run with it and make your assumption. She didn't want me to protect myself with prenup in the first place. All her parents assest are all protected in Trust account but she was against me getting a prenup. I had to back off before she changed her mind. I even offer to pay for her lawyer to verify that the prenup is fair. You don't have to comment if you don't have any valuable advice to provide. Yikes.

You are probably right.. Its really hard for me. She's the only lady that I have dated that have consistently cared for ne and supported me. Her parents also love me and consider me like one of their own child. My gut feeling is also really wrong.

Her parents are still together in a loving relationship. Her siblings are married. She has a lot of good and supporting characters.. she is also from a wealthy family who their family assets are all in a Trust and protected account.

I told her that I should marry without the license and draw up our own contract. She absolutely want the marriage license. Most of them do, cos of the security and entitlement that comes with it. Its also kind of a social status to them, I think.

It's difficult to get a long term relationship without agreeing to it. Most ladies use relationship as a precursor for marriage. Very few of them just want to date without getting married. That has been my experience.
